  1. The houses are a different map. If you could see out the window you would see nothing. The devs would have to do a lot of work to give usable windows.
  2. I think the better question to ask is how would it hurt your game experience to make it harder to accidentally eat raw meat? I think it's easy to see both sides. People who have played for a while know what's up and will only accidentally eat raw meat very rarely and not enough for it to matter much. In the end you just have to not do it, after all. People who are newer to the game will do it more often and it's obvious it should never happen in real life. After all, Will can't tell the difference between raw and cooked meat? Obviously the UI isn't as good for avoiding it as it should be. In the end I think this is probably a newer player issue and just one more thing which will stop people from enjoying the game.
  3. I don't think I would fought back if a cougar pounced me : D
  4. I think it takes 100ml per use and can have up to 500ml?
  5. I've never sprained or hurt my ankles. I am 38. I tried walking up a mountain this year with a big backpack full of weights. I think it was a little under 20kg. It's hard work, our character is an endurance champ. I did sprain my hand when skiing once. I couldn't grip things properly and it lasted for weeks.
  6. Bone arrow heads would be something I would like to see. I remember when I was very first starting to play I was hoping to survive in timberwolf mountains and make some gear and do my survival there....until I found out I needed all these tools and equipment I couldn't get in that zone. That was too bad.
  7. It's also a mistake that would likely never happen in real life /shrug
  8. I will continue to think of wolves as king charles spaniels.
  9. I assume you mean the platform area around the bullet crafting bench? I've not fallen off, but I've also hardly spent any time there.
  10. Talking about mods here results in a ban. Ralph can't handle it.
  11. We would need a lot more than six wolves. Wolves in TLD are about 9kg or so, on average. These would be your sled dogs
  12. I don't want to vote that the idea is dumb...I just don't feel it would work out and feel too gamey for me. As an option you can select on or off I wouldn't have a problem with it of course.
  13. If alcohol could make you walk faster and be more physically able I am sure it would have been used in the military by now. The only use for alcohol I could see would be in a mental health system that doesn't exist.
  14. I always disable sprains. I don't find them fun or anywhere near believable. If they were changed to be 100 times less frequent but also far more crippling and long lasting I would try them again but that's not going happen until mods and then only hopefully.
  15. I was hoping we would see openGL take over with vulkan's release so I could drop windows for gaming. Unfortunately microsoft held on to the gaming monopoly like the plague it is so eventually I will have to move my main PC to their new garbage platform that resets itself without permission.
  16. In custom games if you turn off sleeping health regen it helps an awful lot. It doesn't solve the actual issue being discussed here, but it's a huge bandaid.
  17. I start in a random location. What I do depends on what I feel my needs are. Typically clothing is my first concern but it's always changing.
  18. Some people like to to challenged when playing to the best of their abilities using all the tools at their disposal. I am on of those people. Waiting for modding to be good so I can make a challenging experience for myself in ways that I like.
  19. I don't either. I would need good evidence for such a bold claim. Personally I have eaten around 200cal a day, maybe a little less, for a few weeks and I was so weak I couldn't do much of anything. I think I would have died if it went on much longer. I certainly would not have lasted months. That was my situation though. Maybe if you don't move and you have a lot of fat on you and the things you do eat have all the vitamins and minerals you need.....maybe. But you would lose weight very quickly and you would have to be right on point with food choices.
  20. That sounds really interesting to explore. I don't know how it would work in game of course, but I would love to at least try it out.

The warmth thing is a myth, alcohol makes you freeze faster. Now as a fire starter that sounds cool though. It could be an alternative fuel for people who disable fishing. Oh one thing I want to mention, they might not add alcohol simply because of the rating. It's fine to run around slaughtering stuff and have dead people all over and everything.....but alcohol? oh no, that's too much for children.
  22. I think I would like to see house improvements too but I do wonder how it would change things. Take for example a game where it's -50 inside everywhere that isn't your improved main base. That could make travel much more difficult and promote camping a little area. I am not sure that hinterland wants to restrict people's travels like that. However that being said I still would like to see it tried out. I feel that with other changes you could have ways to make things work but it would require actually playing around with it probably. I think it could add a lot, but I also think we will have to do the work for that, assuming that the mods we can make will allow it.
  23. I don't think I've ever gotten past 100 days on any of my games. I find I stop playing when I feel secure in my survival. I have my giant pile of meat and water, heaps of wood, and good clothing. Nothing really threatens my survival so I feel like I've won and stop playing. Personally this wouldn't make a difference for me but I would be all for having it in the game for people who do want it. I think you may have to wait for mods for something like this to be in the game but I am a fan of having people enjoy their experience. I know some people and devs don't want that though. I don't understand why but it's true.
  24. From what I recall the weight of something like deerskin pants is more than the parts it took to make it. Somehow. TLD is truly a fascinating place where conservation of mass and energy isn't a thing.
