I've almost walked off a cliff in Hushed River Valley, but also had some harrowing success descending the rocks (sprains - off).

Hushed River Valley has beautiful views, but all these climbs will be the death of me.

Oh those foggy tracks are so nerve wracking for me.

Where is this water? I've died every time I've tried to climb down there. Finally threw a torch over the edge. Maybe I'll find it one day.

2 years, 27 days, 13 hours, 11 minutes later, and one still has to walk back across the trestle in the fog.  Must be the overwhelming allure of Mystery Lake.

"Honoring the Bargain"

 

As I've continued to live on Timberwolf Mountain I've offered a particular arrangement to the wolf claiming the territory on Crystal Lake.  As long as the wolf will "cooperate" in my taking a cut of it's kills, I in turn will not hunt or otherwise harm the wolf.  Also, I that would (as often as opportunity permits) send easy kills it's way to keep the wolf "well feed" whether I profit from it or not.  In this way the wolf has far more food than if left to it's own devices, and in return I (occasionally) take a cut of the kill.

I've called this deal, "The Venison Accord."

So far, this is the second wolf to profit from this arrangement (this wolf's predecessor broke the accord within seven days - it's pelt is now draped on the dock).  This new comer has already received three meals that I've sent his way, and has so far honored the accord.  So far, we seem to respect each other... but I doubt we will ever be friendly.

I know what you mean... I've taken hundreds of more 'interesting' shots, but I think this will always be my favourite:

This one was a bit too interesting- first run after revolver update, desperate for food in Muskeg so followed a wounded wolf onto the ice.  when I came out of the harvest sequence this big lad was about 10 feet away. 

stroke of luck number 1, still had my revolver equipped.  Stroke of luck number 2, my panicked instinctive trigger squeeze fired a round just as the bear reared up to charge.  straight through the snout, dead as a doornail.  I've backed up a bit for the photo.

The new region is very interesting, so far. Very ugly, and pretty at the same time. I hope people understand what I mean by that. 

I will spoiler tag these first shots, so people can discover the region for themselves. Don't reveal the hidden content if you don't want spoiler shots.

Spawned in here... if you have to spawn in outdoors in Stalker, this is not a bad place to spawn in at.

On to the looting...

And... first bear, not far away, but thankfully there are places/things to sprint to not far away either.

Lots of water to fall into... but very pretty to look at during the daylight hours. As long as no bears or Timber wolves are chasing you, lol.

Woah! I didn't even know it was possible to do more than piss the bear off with the revolver. Thank you!
