Cheap Homemade Firestarter/Tinder Plugs
odizzido replied to Willy Pete's topic in Survival & Outdoor Activities
Cool, let me know I am curious. I mean I guess I could always try it myself, though it would be a bunch of burning hair(four dogs) -
Advantage of using snares and rabbit respawn rate
odizzido replied to EjectedCasings's topic in How To Play
Man, eating 12kg of rabbit meat every day at a minimum. Our character must have massive, massive poops. Just mountains of poop every day. No wonder bathroom duties aren't in the game. -
I think there are far too many wolves(and animals in general) even on the lowest spawn rate. I remember checking out the broken railroad area and it's just constant wolf battle. I feel like all I do it fight wolves. I am really looking forward to mods so I can drop animal quantity by like 95%

Tried real reishi tea - a review

I like rosehip myself. I've never tried birch but I would. I could easily see it being nice. -
Cheap Homemade Firestarter/Tinder Plugs
odizzido replied to Willy Pete's topic in Survival & Outdoor Activities
Have you tried one? -
For whatever reason this doesn't bother me. Even though last time I played I took off my scarf to wear a second hat and I was thinking that would actually be colder. Which it would be for sure. I mean if they change it it wouldn't bother me either, and it would make more sense. They could really just take away a hat slot and just have a neck/face slot. I can tell you for sure if I had to be in -40 weather for hours every day I would certainly sacrifice a hat to cover up exposed areas.

Is there no way to get to mountain town from mystery lake ???
odizzido replied to rakeshvenkat's topic in Survival Mode
I only accidentally stumbled upon the cave to get to mountain town from mystery lake about a month ago. It was cool to find, I had no idea that was there. Keep along the wall from trapper's on the way to the rail line. It's up a hill from what I recall. -
I haven't been willing to put in the effort but I am quite sure the % chance isn't correct. The chances of failing 14 times in a row is 0.000004782969%, or about 1 in 21 million.

Just going to mention that bed rolls should be craftable again. Or we should be able to sleep anywhere. One of the two, but I really feel like we should have sleep options available. When my character says "oh I could lay down and sleep right here" I am like, yeah right. You are incapable of sleeping here even if you were awake for two years straight. Don't lie to me astrid.

Perhaps the solution is to be able to read in smaller increments. As far as I know you can read for 59mins 2000 times and not make any progress. If you broke it down to 15min sections that would help a lot.

I only mention this because I wouldn't mind enabling cabin fever at some point, but I already play without sleep condition recovery. On a personal level if something else could be thought of that would be cool. I really would like to turn it on.

Maintaining plants in -20 or -40 without any heating besides sticks you collect sounds hard. Carrots are pretty okay with cold weather as plants go but it sounds like quite the project. Honestly if they added carrots to the game while also allowing you to heat homes that could be interesting to try. Whether it would work out I don't know but still I would try it if it were an option.

I watched the entire thing. Thanks for posting this, I quite liked it I do have interest in the area too.

We have courgars in canada and they can be aggressive. I think Will is too old for them to bother though.

Coastal Highway not a viable home region in Stalker (Opinions?)
odizzido replied to GarlicPops's topic in Survival Mode
Coastal isn't my favourite. To me it's a place to stop at on the way to a forge to collect metal and drop everything you don't need and have it as a little supply spot. -
You could play custom Xbuilder, you can just turn off cabin feaver. I do. edit-------- I just noticed an admit talking about discussing what we like and dislike about cabin fever. For me personally it's just strange. Maybe it's because I don't personally get cabin fever but there is also the fact that our character would rather be in a -40 blizzard than inside for sleeping and it's just like, really? It's just too unbelievable for me. edit2--------- Maybe if they switched it to a bored stat where it can hurt your productivity when crafting and it takes a little longer to read or something. I could see that, getting distracted and unable to focus well....fidgety, etc.

Please enable feats progression in Custom Survival mode!

Jim sterling talked about this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIWivb-8C1w -
From what I understand electricity simply doesn't work unless the aurora is active. As to how I don't know, but even battery operated devices don't work so solar panels don't have any hope.

Autohotkey is the program you need, and then you need a script for it to run saved in the file called autohotkey.ahk here is the script I use for it, you can copy and paste it. Mine doesn't have autowalk though, it just auto clicks. It's also great for any games telltale made(they're actually why I started using it. I want a story, not to ruin my hand) setKeyDelay, 5, 5 setMouseDelay, 5 z:: while (getKeyState("z", "P")) { send, {lbutton} ; send, {e} sleep, 5 } return

When space engineers was being worked on earlier in the beta they had a weekly video that they put together. It was done by their community manager though from what I recall so it wasn't the devs making it. As much as I enjoyed watching them I understand it can take time, time which could be spent actually making the stuff you're talking about. I think the current dev diary is decent. We get to hear from you guys once in a while and you don't have to spend a ton of time on it.

Haha I love your chocolate analogy

No I wasn't sure which is why I posted it

I use autohotkey too. It really saves my fingers when picking up sticks and such as they can hurt if I click too much. As to the map updates I am glad they're looking at it. I know when I first played TLD I tried it out but ended up never using it because the time it took for the character to do it wasn't worth it. Hopefully they can improve that. I am speaking about the in game passage of time not my time, just to be clear. It drains your stats without giving anything back.
