  1. Yeah it is a big wish. It would be great for me personally. I mean maybe in 10 years it wouldn't be that unreasonable to release it as open source but currently that likely wouldn't be great financially.
  2. Thanks for the update and the picture
  3. If I can only have one wish it would be that this game becomes open source. For a wish that I think has any chance of actually happening, I hope this game gets excellent mod support, at least as good as what you see in the STALKER series.
  4. I didn't read all the replies, but I want to say that fainting could work if done well. That's a problem though in TLD. If you climb a couple ropes you would go from being completely rested to I am going to faint from lack of sleep in 20 seconds. This is so far off of what makes sense that I would strongly dislike it. If they were to decouple being physically tired and being tired from lack of sleep then yes it could work. I have some thoughts on how it could work but writing them out seems pointless as it's never going to happen.
  5. It would be neat if once they're done tweaking the maps they would just copy/paste the buildings into one map. I know they would have to do the outsides of the buildings some and maybe change the terrain some but I think it would be a significant improvement to the game.
  6. The biggest thing I hope for is that they don't use steam's locked in mod system.
  7. I am pretty neutral to this idea but in the same area I would really like to see more key binds available. I don't understand why, at least on the PC version, we have to be crippled with controls that do more than one action. Why can we not bind the various actions to whatever key we see fit? Why do we not at least have a hotbar we can customise? I miss the old days of Quake and Everquest where you can customise your controls as you like.
  8. As someone who has cut down trees it wouldn't take days with a hatchet. Not unless it was this one:
  9. I find the ground stores 50kg of stuff no problem.
  10. Stone cache has to be the most useless thing. It does nothing that I can't already do but it takes effort to make. I find the map is the same, using it only hurts you. Other than that I have never used water tabs though I understand they can save a little time. Maybe if I slowed down the game time passage(something I am interested in doing at some point) it would seem more worthwhile. Currently though you can either just find enough water that's fine to drink or you boil water while doing other things. I think that's what is up, I've never felt limited by water boil time so I've never decided to accelerate the task.
  11. Yup that's what I saw. It's not strange at all that that happens when you see it's loading a different map but I don't think it's a very good design decision because it's inherently fricky.
  12. I think not being able to walk over a 2cm snow drift or walk through a tiny bush cheapens the game too. Honestly I would rather keep the mountain goating as at least one mobility option for our character. If we had the ability to climb and move like a normal human that would be best but given the option of nothing or goating I prefer goating.
  13. Yeah I recently tried it again this week. I am enjoying it more than the last time I tried it. Those running zombies look extremely difficult.
  14. Canadian here, I thought it was normal to not have a washroom? Usually I save up incase a polar bear comes and I am too busy ice fishing to punch it.
  15. I am old and patient. I want to play at my own pace so I can remember what happens in the story best. I am also happy to wait for my experience to be as good as it can be, bug wise. I have tried survival for a while, but it's not really the experience I want. Once/if modding gets enough support I may look at it but until then I am not interested in playing TLD.
  16. I am waiting for the game to come out of early access before I play it. I would much rather play the story mode when it's done and patched up but I still purchased the game early so I could help fund development. Story mode is what I really care about even though time wise it looks like I don't care.
  17. I just looked the vest up, it's 6kg which means it would almost certainly be a very hefty lvl 4 vest. It should have very high protection. As long as the armour is taking damage it simply acts as extra life which works for me in this game.
  18. Does your armour take condition damage from attacks?
  19. I will do that sometimes. Sometimes I drag the wolf to the deer too. The wolf will just stand there waiting to die after doing your bidding too. I personally find the high level of predictability this game has to be something I don't enjoy.
  20. As someone who will be using Linux for games soon I hope it will work well.
  21. There are so many cattails where I live. I must have 50,000 or more within an hour bike ride. That's over 34 years of food.
  22. I like the look of that cabin I assume it's within the map so no loading needs to happen?
  23. Since it seems electrical items work no problem during an aurora it would be cool if at least some cars have things like heated seats to help. I think it would add a little touch of niftyness to the game.
  24. I have seen maybe one or two in my entire time, but from what I recall on pilgrim mode one is guaranteed to spawn in mystery lake. They have a kinda set location meaning that there are something like 5-6 places it could spawn but which one is random. For any additional info you would probably have to look up a map as I don't know any more than this.
