  1. "Pornographic" never even crossed my mind.. And... damn. 😎
  2. Yes. But there's nothing special about the items you get from them. Same boring old skin as the regular wolves, same amount of meat and guts, even though they're bigger than the regular ones.
  3. I'm sure I'm not alone in insisting that we be presented with photographic evidence of said works of art...
  4. In my Pilgrim exploration of BI, virtually all the shell casings I found were in BI, and most of those in Hunter's Blinds. Very few were in the other regions I visited.
  5. @Loonsloon reports that knife condition is crucial to struggle defence with a knife. So he crafts 2 improvised knives. One for day-to-day use, and one dedicated only to struggles, maintained at 100% condition.
  6. Jumping will never happen. See this recent interview with Raphael for why not: https://www.kotaku.com.au/2019/11/inside-the-long-dark/

    stubborn bear

That 'animals magically heal if you go indoors' bug is a lot older than 2 years. It's been in the game 3.5 years that I know of personally.. back from when I first got the game in beta.
  8. You actually could interact with them back then, but the only thing you could do with them was move them around. I used to put them on the roof of searched cars as a marker that I'd fully checked that vehicle, back in the days when opening the hood only worked until you left the region.
  9. So I'm guessing that your engineer's soul must feel a little less itchy, now that batteries serve a purpose. Also, apropos to the discussion about just how much power the aurora can supply, now we know it can power a milling machine, which is certainly equivalent to quite a few light bulbs.

    Aurora wolves

Meh.. Aurora bears are pussies compared to the aurora rabbits!

    Flare Pistol Uses

I'd have thought that would work better as an emergency bedroll...
  12. Sorry, but that's not so. A wolf that's nearby but out of sight can hear you moving around, and the more gear you're carrying, the noisier you are. And they will come to investigate. I've had a couple of 'bumped into each other coming around the corner of a building' encounters this way. Crouching reduces the noise you make when moving. Also, it pays to be aware that nearby wolves will investigate the sound of car doors closing. * Fortunately it appears that the range they can hear you at is fairly limited. I've never tested it, but would estimate it's probably something like 10-20 metres. * All this has been confirmed by Hinterland. Just don't ask me to find the forum thread where they did so. It was a long time back.
  13. From what I've observed, throwing something usually scares them, but may trigger an attack. But aiming at them, even just with a rock, is pretty much a guaranteed attack.
  14. I mean they've done entire runs very publicly. Often multiple times. On YouTube and/or Twitch streams. If there was any cheating involved, it would have been extremely obvious to anyone watching. Many of these people have large viewerships, and believe me, any cheating whatsoever would have been called out in the harshest terms. A YT or Twitch search for "the long dark interloper" will turn up dozens, if not hundreds of people who put their entire runs out there for all to see. If you want a list of some of the more well-known individuals, I can supply one.
  15. If they haven't confessed to it, how do you know they're cheating? Because you assume that since you struggle with it, many/all of those who've mastered 'Loper must be cheats & bullshitters? Sorry, but that won't wash. Sure, 'Loper is hard (too hard for me), but once you know the maps well enough, and have memorised the possible key loot spawns, and have your strategy down pat, surviving hundreds of days in 'Loper is VERY do-able. That's been proven many times over.
  16. I figured by now it would have been.. but Kimiota was the first.. I know TheDeadp00l has done it.. but I haven't watched many Deadman runs in quite a while.
  17. Fair point.. though you could always connect a keyboard and mouse to your PS. <evil grin>
  18. Yes, the actual Deadman Challenge was about surviving 30 days. Once several people had managed that, the push was on to see how long it was possible to survive. IIRC, Kimiota has pushed it out past 100 days.
  19. You don't need to enter the workshop for this to happen. Just being on the pier is all it takes for a TW to sometimes teleport up onto the pier. And if one does, being in the room by the fire-barrel won't save you.. they can bite you through the wall. https://youtu.be/E7A25x2UMw0?t=2393
  20. Not so. Just press the '4' key on your keyboard, and the fire lighting system pops up. (the one below the function keys, not the one on the numeric pad) The 1, 2 & 3 keys also have uses.. I'll let you figure them out for yourself.
  21. On clear nights around the full moon, the game lets you read/repair indoors, as well as outdoors. This has been the case for quite a long time, now.
  22. Frankly, Spirit Bears worry me less than Teleporting Timberwolves... Here's one walking around on the "safe" overhead walkway at BI - https://youtu.be/E7A25x2UMw0?t=196 And another that several times manages to teleport up onto the "safe" Cannery Pier... and then bites the player through a wall. https://youtu.be/E7A25x2UMw0?t=2393
