  1. Indeed, in the US State I live in, if you get caught baiting deer or (other wildlife), with corn, or apple piles, or grain piles, ect., you will get a hefty fine, and possibly jail time. Even just having a huge pile of apples on your property, that obviously did not fall naturally can get you pretty big fines.

    4DON 2019

Not here, my game is running buttery smooth after the hotfix and update. (Higher-end rig, on Windows 10... you show me your specs, and I'll show you mine. )
  3. After the hotfix and 4DoN update, crouching seems normal, maybe even a touch quicker than before. The stuttery animations and movements, sudden camera movements also seem to be fixed. Playing 4DoN and lighting seems much better, but... it's eternal night, so... can't check the sunlight right now. But def, crouching & standing up are smooth and quick again. Game is running buttery smooth for me in 4Don.

You as well. Mmmmmmm... candy bars. (Not as good as Pancakes, but... I'll take them. )
  5. Read the text at the top of the page. They tell you what regions we have to play in for 4DoN, there are only 4 of them. It's literally the first sentence under the big splash screen image...

    4DON 2019

It is live now, working fine.
  7. A few new runs started in Survival, one in DP, one in CH. Cold start in DP... Stalker start, my gal was almost nekkid. If it wasn't for the toque and the decent weather, I would have sworn it was an Interloper start. And yes, i think the Lighthouse may have a missing texture or 2, that did not fully render... The weather changed pretty dramatically after I got to the Lighthouse, lol! Made for a cold loot check up there. On to the new run in CH. Going to spoiler tag these, since not everyone may have found this yet in Survival Mode in Coastal Highway...
  8. Also keep in mind that after the revolver was introduced, people were saying it was too difficult to find, so they increased the number of revolver spawns, and decreased the number of rifle spawn to balance it out. So we may not have a guaranteed rifle spawn in each region any longer. It's been tougher to find on in Pilgrim/Voyageur/Stalker/Custom Interloper (rifle on in Custom Settings) since shortly after Steadfast Ranger was released, and the changes were made in hotfixes. And RNG can be very fickle. I have a run going in DP, spawned in on the back of the island near the weak ice behind Hibernia. Ran to the Riken, had no flare or lantern to go in and loot, so I headed to Hibernia, usually a loot treasure trove. Very little loot there (but a ton of scrap metal), no rifle, but the revolver was there, in a place known for having a rifle spawn. 3 revolver rounds found in all of Hibernia. RNJesus is showing me his usual "love", lol. Meanwhile the Lighthouse was stuffed with clothing, while Hibernia had almost none. RNG is funny sometimes. And keep in mind the Whiteberry maps are out-of-date, as Whiteberry herself noted in the title, and on each map. So spawn locations may well have been changed a bit. I wouldn't count on them as much these days. (Kinda enjoying the odd places I seem to be finding some things on 3 different Survival saves, one in ML, one in CH, and one in DP.)
  9. So fa the only thing i have sen that was overly bright, was the netting at the entrance/exit of the Riken, where it would be in direct sunlight. That lower right corner is a bit brighter/white/washed out than what I am used to. The rest of the scene, even as I moved in deeper into the ship seemed to be appropriately lit, to my eyes at least. I don't recall exactly what time of day this is, but I think it was late morning/early afternoon-ish. (Didn't think to take a screenshot of the day/night meter...) My brightness settings are at 100%. Graphics setting on all Ultra except SSAO, which is on Low, on an i9 9900K/ 2060 RTX Super, on a Dell S2716GDR (factory settings). Still looking for other oddities, as I go.
  10. Sorry, I misread your post. But, anyone else looking for the file knows where to find it now. And no, I am not willing to do a pastebin and post a link here.
  11. Imagine hearing a new sound in the game, like a feline growl or purring. Do you remember the first time you heard a woodpecker in the game? Or remember the first time you saw someone ask where the machine gun fire was coming from? Or the first time you heard what sounded like an angry-as-heck cow, before realizing it was the moose, when they were first added? And yeah, I agree, developing the complex AI a Cougar would need would take some time, and great attention to pathing, and behavior details. I still would love to see it happen, but am more than willing to wait for Hinterland do it right, if they decide to do it.
  12. The Long Dark. Where you can go from this: To this: In just a few hours in-game.
  13. You would have loved my sweet-extra hot habanero jam on toast, I suspect...
  14. I let him go in my XBone playthrough. I was too overburdened as it was, and not short on food. But when I play the Episode on Steam, I may go in without much food, and cook his big fishy butt up for a feast.
  15. Carolina Reaper? Nupe. I do like habaneros for flavor and heat in my chili, and for the habanero pepper jam I used to make. I am silly like that, but not crazy like reaper fans, lol. 😬
  16. This is on Windows 10, but the location should be the same or similar on Windows 7/8.1. Not sure about the exact path on Linux or Mac, but it should be similar (folder name/location) ((I can't check this or post it, since I do not have a Linux or Mac with the game installed on them, only old build machines from my old company, sitting in storage right now.)). I don't recommend changing anything in it, as you may break your game, but putting it in a new folder with the .dll file like the video shows *might* work, and will leave the files/folders intact to move them back to the game files if/when needed. And keep in mind that if you are using a Steam copy of the game, verifying files *might* re-download and re-install those files in their original locations if you do move them to a new folder in the Plugins folder. But, it's there if you want to read it, while waiting for a hotfix.
  17. Especially the veggie ones, cold veggies are bland.
  18. If you have to keep it equipped (feel like you have to...), be very careful when you click on a stick or any loot you are trying to pick up. Make sure the item label is showing, and click on the item label, not the item. I generally don;t go around with the revolver in my hand, but when I have felt I had to, making sure I only click on a visible item label has kept me from hipfiring unintentionally. But, yeah, it is slower, since you can't run and just randomly click and hope.
  19. Excuse me? "But she is just paranoid." Excuse me? You don't know me, or why I am so concerned for my personal privacy, and protection of my information. I do not think Hinterland would ever misuse and data I gave them. I trust Raph and his team. But random people like you or others here, on the Internet in general, and on social media? Yeah. I have no reason to trust random people on the Internet. @Raphael van Lierop and his team are professionals. I trust them. It's people like you that I do not. Capish?
  20. No worries. That first part with the blizzard lines was a bit intense, and yeah, it felt like I got at least double teamed the first time I did it, and got Astrid's face torn off, lol.
  21. I know you didn't. you were just having fun, as was LkP. Just making my reasons clear, so they are actually understood. Sick as a dog today, and a little on edge. My apologies if I seemed too gruff. 🥞?
  22. @ThePancakeLady LkP beat me too it! Lol! Nice try, but... I am not bending the thing I need to help keep me upright, and balanced on my feet, just to dress up for a contest. Plus, I am very private, at least with my PII, and my actual facial images, thanks to deepfakes and facial recognition SW on the rise. I like my privacy, and don't particularly care to allow use of any recognizable photos m of myself by anyone, not even Hinterland, who I will support in any other way I can. I rarely ever put my own image online for any reason, and tend to delete it shortly thereafter. I am mouthy, opinionated, and outspoken, but private at the same time, and protect my personal and online identity and privacy fiercely. Had enough trouble over the decades due to serious data-breeches *ahem *Fakebook data-breeches*ahem*. Nothing personal, but very few people who I did not have a business relationship with know the former name & address of my company, or know the name or legal address of my home-based business now. And if I don;t know you well, I don;t want you to know who or where I am, what I look like, r or what the addresses of my primary and secondary residences are. I'll still pass, for those reasons. Even though I was trying to make light of my reasons before. Because i do believe I could actually pull these looks off, relatively easily.
  23. There is a thread that tells you how to do that, but it is a bit difficult to find. (In a place you might not think to look.) Third Pinned thread here: https://hinterlandforums.com/forums/forum/68-general-discussions-misc-topics/
  24. The wolves you encounter at the blizzard line at the beginning, going to Molly's barn are regular "blackie" wolves. At least in my capable Survivor game they were. The struggle animation when I got nailed by one of them on the first try was the black "regular" wolf face. Not the grey, furrier Timber Wolf face. And it was daylight out (though a blizzard) and I could clearly see they had black pelts not grey ones, and were not as big as the Timbers I met later on in the Episode. And they looked nothing like the dead wolf Molly killed inside the barn.
