  1. Im going to bet its going to either be for the story mode, a new challenge, or maybe perhaps a weather radio? Gives you an idea what the weather will do for the next couple days during an aroura event???
  2. Yes, typically it spawns inside the barn....might even find two if your lucky
  3. Yeah, was out of food so Id thought Id snag some real quick so I wouldn't loose my well fed bonus, but nah. Magical physics breaking bear plows right through the container like it doesn't exist. x.x I was just in the process of pulling out the flare gun when he hit me.
  4. Yeah. Pleasant valley is one of the places I had tried to set up shop multiple times. I loved the big open area to plan where to go, the available deer spawns nearby, rabbit spawns, {they did not provide enough calories alone tho}, it had a workbench to craft, multiple cabinets to store stuff to my OCD's content....I tried so hard to run it as my retirement home, but between cabin fever and the constant blizzards, you will die sooner or later. =/ Speaking of which, made a big mistake on a good solid starter run on interloper.....try not to get greedy while forging. I got a couple knives, ten arrow heads, and a hatchet on desolation point. {had some maples and deer skins curing at the gas staition in coastal highway while doing so} But I was worried about food on the way back to the stone church where I set up shop. So I snagged a deer with the flare gun.....seems every wolf in the whole area kept spawning right ontop of me cause of my extreamly high scent and I couldn't run due to being exhausted. Due to this, I highly recommend trying to keep hunting activities separated from other activities so you can be fully rested and haul ass to safety after getting a kill
  5. Yeah, not sure if Ill ever be able to beat that one really, if I do, its only going to be about an hour in game or so. Nothing to really go crazy about. But getting all those goodies right away in interloper mode is one of the best things you can do to prep for the rest of the run.
  6. Hmm, a "peaceful only" interaction mode?.....maybe a server with 5 survivors scattered around?.....Or, super crazy idea, you only load in with a particular group and you must survive as a group?......interesting.....
  7. maybe the elimination of a big ravine, and larger flat areas?
  8. Id like to throw some bait on em and maybe catch and bleed out a bear? Maybe moose meat?
  9. A hacksaw does not allow you to quarter an animal....I like to cut my meat up, and get it out of there. Granted you could cut and cook with an open fire, but I have died more than once with this tactic and Id be more relived getting the goods back to camp, especially if a moose gets dropped. A bear is nice to go with a quarter job too, but that's if your worried about the guts AND the hide. As for deer, well, I suppose cooking and cleaning is fair, but might attract some wolfie activity, something that is highly dangerous right now without firearms. I ponder if that's what the devs wanted to stop.....wolves ignoring fires, attacking mid activity.....no more middle of no where cleaning a carcass, best to quarter, take what you can, get the heck out of there. The other reason why Id pick up a quick knife is how fast it can cut up meat compared to the hacksaw. Granted its only 10-20 minutes for each deer, but it all does add up. But I suppose this could be preference in the end. With the rest of what you said, can't argue with any of it. Its a good game plan {so long as it doesn't take 50 days to get to timberwolf, that's going to be cold!} but its a solid setup. With that said, happy new years and good luck out there!
  10. Just checked and can confirm, moose will not bleed. =/ On a throw run, I found the flare and a shell in the demolished lighthouse, I just shot it up as if calling for help. XD No one came tho.
  11. Just blown away all previous attempts. This time, I did not sleep until after I reached the summit! Interloper run, lucky hacksaw spawn, took a short "nap" in cabin, but cabin to summit, no sleep on interloper! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/528964498?t=00h14m08s
  12. Before Errant Pilgrim update, I used the flare gun on interloper to kill two bears, and multiple wolves. Very tricky as your very limited on ammo in interloper and you MUST hit that perfect shot at point blank, but more than capable. However, it will NOT kill a moose. Even though you may get a huge blood splatter on the ground, and even if you wait for the bleed damage, it is very rare to kill a moose. I think I hit one and slept for 12 hours, then looked for the carcass and found it, but it might have been the revolver. As for bear, yeah. One shot, instant kill, aim for the white on its nose.
  13. Something is telling me we need a rope, and something tells me that other rope goes somewhere...….Im going live new years and Im going in both barrels blazeing….timber wolves be afraid, wizard has a puzzle to solve!
  14. Seems to me, they hid all the "goodies" in BI.....if your on interloper and want a gun, face to face with the big wolfies or nothing.
  15. Found it on my run https://www.twitch.tv/videos/525473850?t=01h05m44s I would also like to point out, I found a bunch of revolver casings behind this cupboard inside the mill and ammo workbench on stalker mode. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/525473850?t=01h05m44s
  16. I become a snax! https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/wizardo3/video/84246843
  17. wow, RNG gods are telling you to move. XD But good luck, I know Sulphur is out there!
  18. Im right there with you, real life I can eat those little fishies all day long, nothing. Even out of date. In game? Less than 60%? You have died from little fishies in a can/ But I just drank a soda pop in game at 0%....nothing, perfectly fine. Not even a headache....Real life however? Im sick, bad sick. x.x
  19. Hmmm, a big open area, say like pleasant valley, on one side of the map. And mountains like timberwolf to the other side of the map?....Or maybe a much LARGER map with the mountains cutting two pleasant valleys?...…..I like this....
  20. Yeah, I noticed that one my one stalker run. Seems all of them was under 30% tho. Hooray stomach flu! 🤣 Have to give em a look over. Thanks for the heads up! Yeah, was worried about that. RNGesus can be a bit rude sometimes.
  21. Steel casing ammo is a thing, in fact a lot of guys like it cause its cheap. Now as for it being good and fully consistent, some will debate it. But it is a thing, and would not require a stretch of the imagination.
  22. I FOUND ONE!!!! I FOUND ONE IN BLEAK INLET!!!!!! 😀 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/525473850?t=01h07m35s This is actually bleak inlet and not coastal highway, and it marks the TW spawns
  23. After some re checking, Id have to admit, the Forlorn forge is probably better, but do yourself a favor. Grab coal....all the coal!!!! Your going to need about 12-20 pieces if possible. Might even try to get extra scrap metal and some cloth as well. It will take some time to make some knives, and plenty of arrow heads. But while your getting that together, try to already have some maple cureing…..They take 5 days to cure I think, might as well make sure they are getting done while you try to hit the forge....Hacksaw will cut em down, so your good there. Try to keep moving while in pleasant valley. Its going to be one big blizzard after another. Do not set up shop here, trust me.
  24. An arrow head is only two sharp edges, good for penetration, poor for causing damage. A broad head has more cutting edges, three-four edges. Not so good for penetration but good for damage. Lots of damage! Depending on the bow skill and power, typically arrowheads are good for novices, but broadheads are the best. Especially in the hands of a skilled archer. I can see the idea of a failed rifle and the need for replacement parts, but for simplistic reasons, the game just asks for scrap metal without reason. Maybe on interloper, they could offer some random spawn revolvers, or a permanent spawn revolver that is already ruined and must be milled to work correctly again. This way you wouldn't have to go into reasoning, but the players could imagine what may be wrong with it. Honestly Im kind of with you on the creativity of a mill too. Its really hard to figure out what it would be useful for.....keeping in mind what your using, what would you be able to craft to survive with scrap metal and a mill???.....Maybe shell casings????? Best I got right now.
  25. Well, a makeshift knife is worth some amount of effort. Yeah a bow is necessary for a long run, but even if all you get out of a forge run is some heads and a knife, Id still value that more than nothing.
