  1. whoops, sorry. My brain was foggy last night {16 hours interloper, 4 hours stalker, all dead, then some PUBG cause Im a glutton for punishment.} But this does sound good! Im for broadheads!
  2. Its easy enough, best I can offer for the tree bridge route is to make sure you walk as you will need all the energy you can save to get up both ropes....after that second rope, there is no getting around it, you must sleep. If you only have the clothes you are wearing, you MUST get that snow shelter as close to inside that cave dome below the summit as possible, so that your fire will not go out if the weather flips on you during construction of the shelter and your resting period... Other than that, a few birch bark along the way never hurt. As for the hacksaw and other supply caches, sometimes it spawns inside the plane, if it does its at 100%, however anything above 70% is good enough. After raiding the summit, I typically follow a southern route to snag the cache by deer crossing, down to the big open cave to the south of that, down to the supply cache in the ravine, and then back to cabin with all the goodies. Typically there is just enough food {some of it can be bad} for a few days visit....Crackers, sodas, coffee/tea, and beans n peaches.
  3. As the title says, we now have a mill. Lets discuss what would be some good idea's on how to use it.....Im thinking 10 scrap for a Brand new factory knife?
  4. Yeah, interloper is a heavy handed mistress......all wolf encounters without proper clothing is instant death. No hope, so avoid wolfies at all costs! Best I can tell you is to make sure you get your priorities straight.....Know where you are and where your going....Find good shelter! Sure backup shelter can help, but do not stay in there for long. Once the storm passes, get going! This way you can scavenge food and water along the way. Once you know your alive, make clothing the number one priority. It might not be good enough to keep you warm through the weather, but every little bit helps. Id suggest avoiding crafting this early along, but the cloth wrapped hat and gloves might be ok. After that, well its up to you, but Id make getting to a forge a priority. Yeah you need a hammer, but sometimes you can find one nearby or along the way if you look for it. Get 2 knives, 1 hatchet, 10 arrow heads {if possible} If your lucky enough to find a hacksaw before the hammer, go ahead and hit a maple or two and a couple birch saplings. Craft bow n arrow, begin the crafting of all craftings...deerskin pants, bunny mits, wolfy coat. Good luck! P.s. Oh and do not eat the bear or wolf meat. It is bad, even when its cooked, its bad.
  5. On loper difficulty, Iv managed it in about 1 day....Got lucky, spawned near the cabin, hauled butt there, got lucky again and found the hacksaw, got the matchs, threw down a fire, took a nap, then started 'WALKING". Took a brief stop at the first supply cache and grabbed some food n coffee. Walked across tree bridge, snagged a quick snack and some coffee at the little cave, then hit the first rope, started snagging a bunch of stick along the way to the second supply cache and avoided the wolfy. Got a couple cloths, but not enough. Carried on to the second rope and got into the cave. Snagged all wood/coal for a 12 hour fire, and got to the cave below summit. Threw down a fire and had to salvage a sock and a hat for extra cloth to build the snow shelter. It was super tricky to put it close enough to the fire to keep me warm, but finally hit that sweet spot to put it down and not freeze to death. Hit the fire for 12 hours of burn time, took a nap in shelter, woke up and brewed some more coffee, and the summit was right there. Total time spent, I think was 22 hours.
  6. Iv had them spawn randomly all over.....Timber wolf mountain, coastal highway, haven't checked mountain town yet, but with that said, they just seem to be a typical common spawn like the other books.
  7. Yeah, things are pretty bad right now, best you can do at this rate is just try to avoid the whole bleak inlet region on interloper, or come in with both barrels blazeing on lower difficulty. As it is, the other difficulties really push the boundaries with the current NORMAL wolf AI. Either you avoid them like the plague, or put em down....
  8. Well, as it says above, do you find stuff after breaking down wooden crates? I have found "some" stuff in crates, best example is the wooden crate closest to the doorway in the plane wreckage on top of Timber Wolf Mountain. It always seems to have a rope and scrap metal. Not really important to me as I also know of the rope in the cave on summit, rope in the makeshift cave below summit, and of course the cabin and scrap metal is a dime a dozen with the hacksaw. But is there anything someone found that was really awesome?
  9. True, this all does seem rather south of the extreme frozen tundra. I unno what we could do along those lines unless there was an entire ice shelf that came to rest up against the island?
  10. Well, I was on stalker and knew I had good clothing/knife, so I really wasn't too concerned even if he did get me, I just thought the whole thing was surreal and decided to see if the wolf could even get me. Guess I had to find out the hard way. XD
  11. Iv hit it a couple times on interloper and found about a full revolver cylinder of empty shells, but during my very short time in interloper, I could not find a revolver in paradise, BI {at least outside of the cannery}, and timber wolf mountain. Not sure if RNG was smiling on me with the caseings or what, but I feel like it does have potential once you hit that "perfect" combination. Either that, or you must have some extreme perseverance. I could only imagine that either they specifically separated the key piece from the puzzle, or they spread them out over an expanse we haven't even begun to imagine.
  12. They may add more benches, say on opposite ends of the map, or strictly near specific hunting areas/lodges. But for now, I think that they are more interested in keeping things in a very very dangerous area to provide both the "carrot and the stick" to prevent permanent farming in the game. If you want lots of ammo or the desire to run a game for an extremely extended amount of time, you have to enter a dangerous area with the most aggressive animal in game, with multiple choke points. Specifically designed to kill anyone unprepared for the encounter.
  13. The wolves on interloper are just like the wolves on stalker. So it should not be different. As for ammo, you need to start looking for much more ammo, but you should also try to avoid wolves as much as possible. Maybe run from the rest somehow to save ammo. Not all the wolves need to be shot at.
  14. Kinda felt cheap, but the frame rate is absolutely horrid when they are around. They defiantly need to optimize the xbox version. Although there has been a post or two with PC players having issues? Maybe the whole of bleak inlet needs redone 🤔
  15. Yeah, I don't have my old TB 800's, but the astro A20's for a fair job. Especially with games like this.
  16. Still think its possible, but you might wanna hit up the heavy duty spawns....check Timberwolf Mountain plane, PV farmhouse and town, gas station in costal highway, train wreck above ravine, and last but not least, all the nook and cranny in the cannery at BI......Iv found a round or two before with the previous update but thought It was a bug, but they was hiding in very difficult to get to places. Behind cupboards, under furniture, ect. ect.
  17. Iv not had them ignore the bait for me in about 4 or 5 instances now, every time they start towards me, Iv dropped and run, and in one instance I had to kill the wolf as I couldn't run....the bait was in the way of the wolf to me, and I didn't have a gun in hand until he was past the bait.....I didn't want to use ammo, but at the last minute, whipped out the rifle and took a quick shot. I got lucky and hit him in the noggin, but the fact that there wasn't any other option {Fires and torches do not work anymore either} I had no other option. Im sorry, but if carrying anything that increases your scent and does nothing to help prevent wolf attacks, its a big worthless in my book.
  18. Yeah, the moose is defiantly finicky on spawn points and actually being there when you are there...seems to be a weather relevant animal. Good conditions always seem to improve the spawn RNG of the moose.
  19. Yeah, bait is practically useless now....why even drop something if they just ignore it?
  20. Alright guys, got a bit of a post here for those who are interested. A full run down of my go at bleak inlet......I would like to point out that there is of course a bunch of spoilers involved, so if you want to explore and find out what's involved in getting into the machine shop, do not watch this video. Also, swearing. Yes, I do curse a lot I do apologize for my inappropriate language and behavior during the run. Last but not least, there will be pauses in the video where I had to go do something, or take care of IRL problems. So this will not be a professional stream or anything of the sort. For those of you who are interested, from paradise valley to bleak inlet, into the shop and some crafting, then to forlorn muskeg to prove I survived the whole run, here you go!
  21. Have to agree, waiting for those hides to cure is a pain....Kinda dropped 2 bear skins on the run Im on, and hoping I can still use them when I get back.....If I get back. Pretty sure its been 5 days minimum, 8 days max, and while I could run straight to them and they will probably be ok, but still....its concerning if you just wasted two bears just cause you was bored.
  22. Iv currently used the old farmhouse on PV as a base, thinking I might now move to the community hall. Lotsa drawers to help with my OCD. 🤣 Iv used the bank managers cabin in the mountain town, however the wolves are very thick there and can attack as soon as you step out of the building. I feel like I tried to make a go at the tappers lodge but gave up and moved to the camp office in the middle of mystery lake. Iv also made the wrecked ship on desolate point a base for EXTENDED amounts of time on interloper, just be prepared to go hide outside the church with the fire pit burning on high to keep you warm and outside when cabin fever sets in. Other than that, not a single place I can say feels like the "best" spot to call a main base. The closest place I ever felt like I could call home was the farm house in pleasant valley. I loved it till they modified the cabinets.
  23. Have to admit, if they could add a broad head arrow that doubles, triples, or quadruples the bleed out damage, might be a change in game with that modification.
  24. Im thinking more options to work on equipment. Building the whole selection of tools from scratch on interloper? Maybe a new tool that can only be crafted at this work station?.....Dunno what, but its defiantly got potential.
  25. I was thinking more of a submarine wolf or such, but the tremors thing, I just straight up lol'ed.
