  1. agreed, love me some salty fish IRL.....but as for the ammo and machine shop, I can agree with both OP and acada….while the machine shop does sorta kinda make sense in the cannery, I would be more inclined to expect the railroad maintenance shed to house one....Maybe more so than the forge they put into it, especially since its at the end of FM and since FM already has a forge in it. With that said, the timberwolfs are indeed supposed to be the gate keeper to the key's of the puzzle for a actual gun on interloper mode and the closest thing to stop people from farming ammo without worry on the other modes. So while I can see one, its nearly impossible to see the other. Maybe there is a change up for the future to fix this?
  2. I see em everywhere, but I unno if there is anything more than just a cute little nod to the backers, or if you can find a rifle or something if you find them all.
  3. My my, dat is a big one! Well, there goes my professional career as a text wall pusher. XD Well since your trying to go for the archivist, I hate to tell you this, but absolutely do not leave home without it! Multiple places require you to visit places where a bed is about a half days trek away. So yeah, be ready. Even if its bit heavy. As for being prepared when I go journeying, and everything other than clothing, Id like at least 5+ band aids, two stims, and antibiotics for meds. And I leave behind disinfectant. Old mans beards are easy enough to find when in a pinch. Next is tools. I absolutely refuse to leave behind the prybar and hacksaw. Got to break into those storage containers. Even if usually nothing is in them XD Now as for knife, axe, can opener, yadda yadda....I might bring the knife because it can open cans, carve meat/quarter frozen carcasses, and be used in self defense. But other than the knife, its all too heavy/single purpose stuff and because of that I often put them in a supply cache, but never bring them with me on journeys. I debate on whether or not to bring the bed roll, but it depends on my motives or plans.....Am I going somewhere? Do I know the area? Does it have multiple sheltered beds spread around or just a single safe haven such as TWM? Its hard to dedicate to the bedroll especially early on without the well fed bonus or/and the moose satchel, but if you know your route or your mission, then its a little easier to justify its necessity.
  4. Yeah, Im a bit of a loot ho. But even I have noticed how quickly you can aquire some serious junk in a short amount of time. Because of this, I typically create junk drops near base.....its not in a storage unit, but close enough nearby that if I just so happen to need it, I can just go grab it. Silly question, but Im noticeing certain things tend to wear out or loose condition faster than other stuff. Does each item last differently than the rest? Or does going into containers for something effect the rate of degradation? If I keep getting into a drawer that has food in it, will it effect how fast or slow the food degrades, even if all I grab is the tool box?
  5. Had this issue with the rifle as well, shot the moose with the rifle this time, thought maybe it was due to the revolver getting nerfed, but after using the rifle on the moose, it just does NOT leave a blood trail or splatter! O.O Also moose goes into structures now???
  6. Yeah, just had anouther steam roller run on stalker. That bear coat is just too much, same with wolf coat. Man made clothing is just fine honestly.....kinda thinking of using the best "lightweight" clothing now....thin wool sweaters, toque's, ect. ect…..at least I don't have to wait for the hides to cure.
  7. I absolutely swear I did, I may just throw a loper run again to see if I can find em again, with my luck it was a 1 in a 1000 x.x
  8. Yeah, we have been dealing with a majority of PC ported games lately, but not even close to PC performance systems....I am actually ok with it for now, love seeing PC games cross over. Hell last gen consoles trying to run a game like PUBG would have been a dream, but not reality. Now a days, well its wonky, its truly wonky! but its giving the big wigs at Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo an idea of what we really want, what they need to develop to get things to work correctly, and hopefully while things might be wonky now, they may actually get things on track for next gen. I also believe you are correct. Not entirely sure if its going to be a honest to god current ryzen, or maybe some form of modified out dated chipset, but from whats known so far, ryzen is indeed involved. I do hope so, I got a feeling that while the xbox X was a step up from the original xbox one, it was only for the 4k and HDR....the extra CPU power isn't noticeable from the 1st gen xbox one, to the latest X....no improvement on framerate or such and still constant crashing....Me thinks it was all smoke and mirrors just for the extra graphics just to keep up with main stream media making the switch over to higher graphics. And agreed, the jags was already predated when they started working them into the xbox one's. My only guess is much like the extremely slow and unreliable hard drives, they must have got those pieces for a song and a dance, then they got their people piecing it all together in the best way possible with some crazy coding to make it run as good as it does.
  9. I got this same issue, and typically when its right next to me....Im on xbox x. o.o
  10. xbox x, SSD as main storage device, wired to internet. Every time a wolf howls while in the middle of attacking results in some very goofy animations. https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/wizardo3/video/86126021
  11. I actually did get two expedition parkas on a loper run once. I didn't know any better and was keeping my eye's peeled for better and didn't repair them x.x
  12. We have had cases of cougars attacking humans in America, mostly towards the rockies. Crazy part is, the attacks are not just small or underage people, but full grown men and women in their 30's.....while I do agree its not common, it is still historically noted. And indeed, trying to steal a kill from a cougar would be bad judgement.
  13. So I have seen multiple posts now of people who wouldn't mind some additional upgrades or modifications to their home décor, and when I do, I actually ponder about some other things that might actually make the game a little more personal for the players. How about the ability to repair some of the buildings? A prime example of this is the cabin in timberwolf mountain. Its actually ok from the front and sides, but if you look at the roof, there is a big open hole there....Now I know that supposedly in game, your a plane crash survivor and your probably looking for a way to get back home, but we all know that its just a question of how long can you live before you will eventually die. Id like to think that after so long, someone would eventually settle down and build their own proper homestead. And thus, Id also like to think that maybe you could fix up a place to call home. As for the cabin in twm, its a simple hole in the roof. Maybe a couple pieces of fir, 10-20 hours of time to repair, and boom. No more hole in roof! Now its warm enough to keep you from freezing to death even in a blizzard without a fire. Now as for any other places in the game, or other amenities you could change...say a bear skin rug you can sleep on, or a trophy deer mount on the wall that slows cabin fever, well Im sure someone will suggest something, but Im really would like just the ability to repair certain structures or cabins that the devs think would be ok for someone to consider their own personal base to live at. Heck, maybe even throw in a few conditions on the homestead that needs to be repaired with....Small simple structures like the TWM cabin requires simple tools and hacksaw.....the two room cabin in BI requires hammer, quality tools.....And every so often it requires maintenance work or it goes back to being broken again. But yeah, in the end, a home!
  14. Desolation point could be good, if you find a hammer....If not, maybe later. The only high qualities of this place is a couple of "golden spawns" where a rare item might spawn in, the forge for crafting some quick, but very useful tools/arrow heads, and a cave that has two deer hides, but also a very alive wolf. If you can manage to take out the wolf with a bow and arrow, or a flare gun, you can also find some other goodies. Otherwise, its a pretty unforgiving place to start out in and I would actually advise to ignore it until later. Broken railroad is bit more useful early game. More rare loot spawns, big house with lots of cloth to repair clothing....its much nicer overall to visit, however keep in mind that the maintenance shed is not a warm place to stay at unless you got the clothing. The only place to sleep and not worry about freezing to death is in the hunting lodge ontop of the hill. Now with that said, again, probably better for later as it also has a forge to craft arrow heads and tools, but you will need to do everything in your power to scrap up all the coal you can. There are no caves nearby to loot from, your best bet is the ravine...Lots of goods to be found down there. Typically I will go to desolation point once I get off of TWM, out of PV, and past coastal highway, but by then I have good clothing, hammer, and hacksaw.
  15. Ok, just took 15 shots to drop a bear....wtf? Iv never had such rotten luck. Somethings defiantly going on with the revolver....
  16. Can confirm, with the proper amount of rifle skill, and aim. TW are a one shot, and it is easier to one shot with the rifle. But it can also be done with revolver.
  17. So I got into quite the stalker run recently, got outfitted early in the game with a bear coat, deer skin pants/boots, rabbit mitts, and a bit of this and that, but then I came across some regular clothing, and super rare clothing such as ski boots and gauntlets, and I realized how much better those things was compared to the crafted stuff I made. However I also noticed how overweight I was with the bearskin coat..... So simply put, what really IS the best clothing in the game??? I guess the better question is, whats good for "loot hunting" where the objective is to stay in the region, but allows you to carry more stuff back to home base. And the next question is, whats good to keep you nice and toasty when you decide its time to leave the region and establish a new base in a new region {and your not worried about how fast or slow you are going} While the bear coat was truly splendid at keeping me warm, loosing those mobility points really drained the fun out of trekking around and savaging. Ontop of that, the extra weight it created really put off trying to lug all the stuff I found while out and about back to base. Especially when just the expedition parka would have done the job. Thoughts? Opinions??
  18. oh my god. Im just flat out dying here. you guys are awesome 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  19. Yeah, its fairly easy to jump from bed to bed in this game, however the problem is cabin fever.....once she sets in, your places to take a nap become seriously hindered. Better be able to survive in the cold to be able to sleep in an outside bed. I honestly have to fight myself on weather or not I even want to bother with one....Yeah, its handy to just throw down a bedroll and sleep at any point in time, but then again, is it worth the extra weight? Just had a stalker run where I was going to try and set up shop in BI, so I was scavenging all the ammo and all the supplies needed to farm ammunition, but when I finally got there, I was always pushing nearly 100lbs, or 20% more than max carry weight....I had to force myself to bring a bedroll cause I already know that there is not a bed inside the main machining area of the cannery. If it wasn't for that, I could have left the bedroll behind.
  20. I had the stuff dropping to the floor problem just a minute ago....I was in radio shack in PV, went to pick up the revolver book that was on the bottem shelf of the tv stand, and accidentally started sawing up the stand. Well hey, I needed some metal to med the saw anyhow, so whatever, let the animation finish and suddenly the tv was on the floor and covered up the book to where I couldn't pick the book up. O.O I lost a whole leveling up on the revolver cause the tv squashed the book. X.x?
  21. Agreed, but to think that you can have a fire starter in sunlight AND daylight that doesn't deplete out like the match's and Firestarter's…..It would make it very usefull, even in its limitations.
  22. I have encountered that multiple times now....lets just say that if a wolf runs by me at any point in time, making any noises, I am allways trained up on them, just in case....but the wonky animations just throw me off.....where do I am, how do I am, is he going to turn suddenly.....Ontop of the still rather janky FPS {good god, please let next consoles have stable 60 fps} its just really screwy to try and pre aim up on these messed up animations. Especially when you add in their "dodging bullets like the matrix" behavior. https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/wizardo3/video/86071518
  23. Have to agree, game does feel like it could use some more wildlife and the candian lynx could fit in, however the cougar might be the best way to go. Sneaky predator that posses a threat to a full grown human, may not be the traditional threat of a wolf, but in a certain environment such as HRV, it would most defiantly fit the game. Spawn them in near the edges of big rocks and cliffs and such.
  24. The only time Iv ever seen the distress pistol at the PV crash site was during the story mode. Other than that, never seen it pop back up there.....Darn shame since Iv never found the bow in the cave nearby point of disagreement since the errant pilgrim update.
  25. I was about to say you might need a hard restart. It happens to me all the time on a wide variety of games.....Fallout 4, PUBG, long dark.....On console, best bet is to try and unplug it for a minute after a crash. What happens is the system cache gets clogged up and the only solution is a hard shut down in order to clean out the carb. I do it on my xbox x cause of the same issue, but most game producers are able to identify it and put is some sort of scrubbing code to clear the cache out once every so often.....Sometimes they nail it, other times….well knowing what to do to get things working again on your own is part of the current future. Hopefully next gen will do something about it, but if not, at least we can fall back on basics.
