  1. Yeah, I still got issues of animal animations not being displayed correctly. Lets watch a wolf stand still and howl loudly while his body scoots across the snow at breakneck speeds https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/wizardo3/video/85933759
  2. If I could do that, this would be a game changer for me.
  3. I have found a moose satchel on interloper once....I went to the cave up by skeeters ridge, they had just redone it with the waterfall in the back crawl tunnel, and it was in the backpack. But sadly Iv never found it back there since.
  4. I absolutely promise Iv taken the moose before with just a single cylinder load in the revolver. Even then, Im sure I missed a few shots as well, but I have had blood loss with the moose as well especially where he was standing when I shot him. Now trying to wait for the bleed out typically takes a whole night of sleeping, but in this instance, I got absolutely zero blood splatter and/or blood loss for the moose! I at least get a blood splatter with all the other animals, but nothing when I shot the moose this time. I pondered what they changed because while I expected one or two adjustments with the first patch, the second patch was a real "whats going on here? scenario.
  5. Yeah, moose was a thing couple updates ago. But with 80lbs of fresh meat, a hide that cures into a backpack to carry some extra weight, or the most durable coat in the whole game, its good hunting too!
  6. Never had much use for the flashlight....only on dureing an aroura, doesn't "scare away" the wolves effectively, constant weight...Meh
  7. The dirty answer to this is spend 4000 hours in pubg first. XD Sadly due to that experience time, I find all the wild life in the long dark to be easy enough. At least if they would increase the deadzone and turn off aim accel. >.>
  8. Not sure if people know this or not, so thought Id throw out some new info on the latest "adjustment" to the revolver. I have used it effectively in the past without having a higher skill ranking on both the bear and the moose, but after throwing down a new stalker run on my xbox, I must admit that either I came across a new bug, or the revolver got super nerfed. Video footage as follows https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/wizardo3/video/85900338 https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/wizardo3/video/85900365 https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/wizardo3/video/85900392 https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/wizardo3/video/85900431 https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/wizardo3/video/85900472 For those who don't wanna deal with the ad crap that pops up on that website, I more or less spent 20 rounds of revolver ammo to take down one moose. So ok, Im going to start off with the story here....Im doing a stalker run and have already cleaned out timberwolf mountain. Going through PV and went to the radio shack and then over to the ice fishing hut on pensive pond {or at least I think that's the name} While out there, seen mr moose, put three into his backside and went back to the farmstead....had some stuff go on that I had to spend a couple days dealing with, and returned in hopes of finding mr moose who should have bled out by now. But he is still alive {1'st video} Ok then, I guess Ill put a couple more in him....wait, no blood? Couple more shots, couple broken ribs, ok Ill lure him to the ice shack and do a full cylinder load...HOLYMOTHEROFJEHOVA! the moose is still standing after all that?!?! Oh he is going to go down now or im going down trying! Well, the short of that is, it took about 20-25 rounds of revolver ammo, 3 broken ribs, and a realization of what is really going on, the revolver must have been nerfed. But I still managed to do it and mr moose gave up his hide for me....Didn't worry too much about the meat, still loaded from the supply from TWM, but wow was that a lesson learned the hard way. Good news is I made it through, all the ribs are healed, and I am still plugging along, but yikes was that a wake up call!
  9. Iv noticed this in much larger buildings and caves....the back of the cave is always a bit warmer.

    Kettle

A mobile aroura only hot plate.....I like this idea.....And tea kettle cooks two-four cups of stuff in one shot? I like that too....But for real tho, I do have a little butane powered hot plate. Would it be so far fetched to find one that uses lantern fuel?
  11. Yeah, I start freaking out at about 50-60% cause I know I need to heal up somewhere before I get problems and I might start to get the stumbles if Im out and have a resource depleted…...On interloper it could be cold or food. So yeah, its kinda freaky.
  12. I only have one question.....Im xbox, not sure how applicable this is to me, but do shell cases for the revolver spawn in regular interloper mode? Don't need anything besides a yes or no, but Iv checked everywhere! I cannot find anything. =/Also would like to point out that if its 6 or less rounds, Id think this would not really offer anyone a different play style....Why risk two or three different packs of timber wolves for 6 bullets?
  13. 100 lbs! XD Actually my limit is right at the ability to run and not run.....If I loose the ability to run, I drop junk.

    Coop Mode?

Honestly, it would be a bit of a perk for this game if they offered the ability to allow people to interact with one another. But alas, probably not going to happen as multiplayer games require quite a bit of work to be done to the game itself before you even consider the servers to host the game.
  15. Not bragging here, but Iv taken bear, moose, wolf, and deer with each type of weapon save for the crossbow and flare gun....best I can say is make sure your hunting your game properly. If its dangerouse, make a clear path or a way to get up high first so you can predict the path of the animal, and keep your distance so you can get a second shot it. When it comes to that second shot, aim for the face.....white of the bear muzzle or between the eye's of the wolf and moose.
  16. I actually think I checked them, got nothing. x.x
  17. I like to start in timberwolf, so I can figure out whats in store for me, but I will start in PV if Im ontop of skeeters ridge. Otherwise I throw em….But TW-->PV-->CH-->DP-->Ravine-->ML-->FM-->depends....if I feel like I could do some more forgeing, Ill head to the maintence shed along the rail line. If not, mountain town, or now BI.
  18. I was rather freaked out. I went into the cave, didn't think of anything, then I passed the time to cook the meat and as the time was passing "WOOFWOOFWOOFyipeyipeyipeWOOFWOOFWOOFyipeyipeyipe" I wasn't sure if I should have canceled the time passing or not, it was really weird!
  19. Yeah, there is a nasty bug right now that seems to spawn animals underground from time to time. My only advice on avoiding them is to use a decent pair of headphones to help you detect them earlier when they first start making noise. Its happened to me nearly at the same spot as your wolfy did https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/wizardo3/video/83810983 Also, whenever you get an animal carcass over ice, you might want to consider harvesting it before going somewhere that you may need to load a new area up. Apparently a lot of people are having problems that if they leave the carcass, go into a building or a new area, then come back, the carcass will sink "under" the ice and out of reach to harvest. As for the wolf attacking and retreating multiple times, Iv had the same thing happen while I was cooking deer meat.....its weird. o.o
  20. Yeah, I remember them making a post about it too, dunno where tho. So if your crazy, at least there is two of us in the loony bin. XD
  21. Cool, they took my face off finally, Iv been up that wall of text wiki for years now.
  22. I do agree with you there. Been multiple times I half ponder what is going on....Every so often, even during clean sky's, Ill just come to a near crawl in the wind. But then I resort to sticking up against the walls again. I often play on loper and I could not imagine changing my fast stamina and cold fusion perk for this.....I like to recharge my stamina meter as fast as possible so I can cook from one place to the other, and to climb longer, or the cold fusion perk to get those preciouses degrees against the cold. Sure, that one won't matter once I get the clothing together, but until I do, its next to impossible to survive without throwing down fires left and right.
  23. I do agree, the wolf mechanics are hard to pin point on what seems and feels right, without rethrowing the whole game into turmoil, but they are on the right track.....A few more tweeks and adjustments and this will feel rock solid for the wolfies…..now as for the bear and possibly the moose {moose mechanics seem solid tho} they may be something else to deal with later.
  24. I have to agree, I love the whole ordeal and can't keep out of BI on any setting besides interloper. Even on interloper setting, Im so tempted to go and take a look around for the revolver and such, but I feel like it wouldn't be worth the danger. If I knew a box of 25-30 rounds of ammo was waiting for me, id do it, but with the current few casings sprinkled here and there, Im not really excited to try quite yet.....Maybe one day, maybe just a couple "throw runs", but no serious runs. At least not yet, and probably without the flare gun. Just the marine flares and nothing else. My only real complaints is that on my xbox x, I am experiencing 10-15 frames per second at time, and less than 10 when the timber wolves are involved. Oh, and the random bear and wolf spawn underneath the ground. But Im sure those details can get ironed out with some adjustments and optimizations.
  25. Crackers. I usually find very salty crackers.
