I was reading over all the Signal Void logs & transcripts found during the tale. It references the mine, which we know will be the new zone coming soon and an experiment going on there. In Interview Transcript 12, it mentions "a shadow":
Could it be a reference to the Darkwalker? Perhaps an early, immature manifestation of it?
Let's first separate the prepper caches from the Signal Void bunkers. There are 4 SV bunkers that can be found as part of the Tale that are found with the shortwave radio.
Perhaps it's best to properly identify them (I know I call them ALL bunkers!). "Prepper Caches" have nothing to do with Tales and can be found any time. There are a total of 9, 3 of which are "full" while the remaining 6 are "empty".
It had been a while since visiting CH so thought I'd return and check the coast. I had encountered no blizzard yet, but I found a ton of stuff! I thought this screenshot was interesting so thought I'd share. Who said fish can't fly??! That was: flare gun, 2 shells and marine flare in the distance.
However you define "stress" in the game, what is the area you feel the most relaxed (least amount of stress)?
For me, I believe it's the Ravine. No predators, plenty of game, wood, birch bark and caves.
@Raphael van Lierop, I'm glad you put into words how many of us "regulars" feel about this forum. It is evident to me because this is the only "social media" site I regularly visit. I've never done FB or any other sites because, unfortunately, I leave them feeling worse than when I visited and I don't want that s**t in my life. I have visited Twitter on occasion, but that was just to get the scoop on new TLD content since you seem to be more active there.
Thanks for having a "safe place" in this increasingly bitter world.
To avoid "diving", in CH, I walked the whole coastline testing the thin ice and placing tinder to form a "boundary". It took me quite a while, but now I can quickly BC without fear and splashing in.
They do advocate "no crunch". I believe what happened, is they were attempting to please the fan base and their attempt to keep to the 8-10 week cadence. They realized they were unable to do that and the effect it was having on the team, so they owned up to it and stated things as they are. Nothing wrong with that, IMO.
While disappointed, I also understand. What I truly appreciate, @Raphael van Lierop, is your candidness and willingness to take responsibility - that is a rare thing these days.
If you're outside and a blizzard starts, just head indoors and wait it out. You could check every couple of hours if it has subsided then go check the coast
