  1. Almost makes me wonder if there are multiple loot tables which "cycle". I find that unlikely though.
  2. Supply and Demand determine price. They did bring in new cookies (Lemon) and failed so they resorted to what was proven. A compromise is typically "meeting half way" in a dispute. As Raph implied, HL should not need to compromise on what their product is (and is working). I'm just trying to make a point that the minority should not be determining action which could adversely affect the majority. HL has finite resources and if they choose to allocate resources to X then they must take them from Y (Y being the majority here ;))
  3. Let me see if I can say this "majority rules" another way. Say you own a business that bakes and sells cookies. You know from past sales, chocolate chip cookies sales are 80% of your total sales. In the past you had sold Lemon cookies but they just weren't profitable (not as much as chocolate chip) so you discontinued them and made more CC cookies. You had a few customers who complained that you no longer sold them. Would you be willing to bake less CC cookies (and displease your largest customer base) so that you could please the small percentage of customers who wanted the Lemon cookies? What would happen to your profits? What does a company need to stay in business? You can't bake enough cookies to please everyone so wouldn't you naturally bake cookies to please the most people?
  4. I don't have it fully mapped yet on my new run.
  5. Impossible to make it fair to everyone. IMHO, the next best option is make it fair to the majority.
  6. This post is based upon the assumption that Interloper players are a small percentage of the total player base! While I applaud Hinterland's willingness to make this change for a vocal few, I can't help but think about the amount of resources this took away from other work to be done on the game. Placating a few, and taking from the many, just doesn't sound "fair" to me.
  7. It's really too bad our gaming communities have these self-proclaimed "elitists". I believe part of it comes from the entitlement in the world today (but I won't say anymore about that ;)). I don't really read any other social media or community channels/sites just because of the toxicity of people. It's really sad. When I do see it from someone here, I ignore them. Luckily, my ignore list is pretty small.
  8. You may have to carry a battery from another zone.
  9. Hi Dave. Part 2 - Signal Void tale is played in survival mode. I believe you may need to start the Tale before you can repair the transmitters (could be wrong). Even if you could repair them, you need the shortwave to help locate the Tale's bunkers. Also, I don't believe there is a transmitter in Desolation Point - perhaps you are confusing it with another zone?

  11. Sounds like you're having a great time so far! I love HRV. I hated it at first, but forced myself to stay there for weeks to fully understand it.
  12. Yeah, BC has made it very much a reality to "live forever". Looks like DP?
  13. I took my family on the Hiawatha trail. Was an old RR grade converted into a bike/walking path. Many BIG trestles and looong tunnels. Here's a picture of one of the many:
  14. I'm with @Leeanda on little "ledges" or sticks you can't step over but this has been an issue with games forever. Also, bears I shoot, then they despawn.
  15. I consistently get a 5-10 second "freeze" when transitioning to FM (either from another zone or from a cave). Does anyone else experience this?
  16. Moved on to FM - SW Radio Tower. I had 0 of 3 memories here. Been here for 5 days and still have only gotten the initial 1 of 3 memories, despite transitioning and reloading the game each day...not looking good. <edit> Day 7 - aurora fired, no new BM, transitioned to cave and back out, and got BM 2 of 3. <edit> Day 23 - got the 3rd of 3 memories. Had to transition to the nearest cave to trigger it after many failed attempts.
  17. I've been in the camp office for over 20 days now trying to get all the memories. I've begun to notice a pattern. The "main" memory is the 'Predatory species...'. Regardless of the current memory, if I leave the office and re-enter, the "main" memory returns. The only way I can get something besides the "main" memory to appear is to exit the game completely and reload. Even then, it is random which memory I will get. I currently have 4 of the 5 so trying to get the last one is really proving difficult! I don't think we should have to exit the game to do this... @Admin? Just got the last memory after another 5 days. I had to fully exit and re-load the game to trigger the new memory.
  18. Fog usually hits low-lying areas, so maybe SS wouldn't be the best place to hide from it! Inside buildings or higher ground, you'd think wouldn't be affected though.

  20. Well, hopefully, with Safehouse Customization you will be able to clean it up.
