dead frozen dude
It must be someplace high above the Ravine trestle... you can make out the fallen engine right in the center of the pic. What I bring to the table is goating into unique areas. ...well done sir! Edited January 2, 2019 by dead frozen dude misquoted

Were you cleaning a rifle, or stitching up boots made from his best buddy's hide? Nice capture!

greatwhitegamer
@piddy3825 it was weird how I got a one shot on that moose. Let me give you a little backstory... I left the camp office to head to the trappers cabin. Of course, there's a wolf in the way, so I use a deer as a decoy. It works surprisingly well and I manage to slip by. I continue peacefully, listening to the wolves howling in the distance and the wind blowing in my ears. As I reach the clearing in front of the cabin, I take a quick look around. "No wolves, no bears, no moose! I'll be on my way now." I said confidently as I made my way to the little wood shack in hope of a deer carcass. As I slip in, I see it. The moose. In TLD, my least favorite animal is the moose. So big, so heavy, so.... rib breaky, if you know what I mean. I watch the behemoth wander around outside the shack, scratching through the snow looking for some grass. I'm very nervous, aiming my rifle through the cracks in the wall of the shack. I'm about to start freezing, so I figure i'll take my chances and take a shot. Once it gets in a good spot, I raise my rifle. The world melts around me. The only thing in the world is me, my rifle, and the moose. It stops walking. I line up my sights. I pull the trigger. A splat of blood hits the ground. The moose falls. I victorious. Moose hide! piddy3825
@greatwhitegamer, your narrative paints a vivid picture in my minds eye, having made that trek many times myself. My first encounter with the moose by happenstance was also right there as you described, however mine did not end as well. Takes a long time to recover with broken ribs. That moose can kick some ass. on a side note, only got the audio portion of your recording, might just be a conflict with the various media players i employ, but thought i would give you the heads up in case it isnt. Doc Feral
After almost losing my mind in acrobatic efforts to grab them from different angles I figured out they are meant to be spent shells. Nice idea to add flavour to the hunter's blind, but please Hinterland, if they're spent they shouldn't have the tip!

I've shot plenty of surplus 8mm Mauser rounds, and would occasionally have a few fail to fire because the primers went bad.

Are you sure? Because that looks like the old HUD/UI from before the December update, not the current one (the thermometer should be in a circular icon, on the left bottom screen, not dead center without the circular meter...) k0s0ff
I went fishing and stayed the night The night began Aurora, insanely beautiful Sight. I was enjoying the cooked fish and the lake view when I saw this. It could have been anything. I'm confused. Then the weather turned bad and I decided not to worry my head. Still had to cook the fish and go to bed. When I woke up after a while, I looked out and saw it again, but now it was different. These mysterious lines, which stirred my imagination, were only smoke from the pipe. I hope I'm the only one who's so stupidly scared of this strange phenomenon. It works with VLC Media Player. The best Player so far in my opinion. But it looks like you hit him in the shoulder. Or maybe you couldn't aim properly and that's why it went more to the right xD Yes, in slow motion you can see that the rifle swings to the right a bit. Well done!
