  1. It's keep left if you're British, Irish, Aussie, Kiwi or Indian, keep right for everyone else.
  2. Gotta update this since spending time in the Zone of Containation: I have now built a few snow shelters, and rolled the dice with infection and lost. Love the new regions and the new challenges they bring!
  3. I have found one, so they do exist, but that's far far fewer than any other region, let alone region of this size
  4. I reported this as a bug, as it definitely desn't seem to be working as intended - the other affliction stats count full, red afflictions, not risks.
  5. Yeah, TLD is a hiking simulator, and plenty of people like hiking for its own sake. I will spend way more than 40 seconds hiking to my destination. The game will usually do something beautiful or challenging on the way, though not quite every 40 seconds.
  6. Hiding from this lil guy Dinner time in the Idle canteen The Concentrator is a great place for a rave
  7. This is TLD in a nutshell. Thanks for sharing! Hope you heal up well and get all your food.
  8. Are you sure there isn't?? 😉
  9. Interloper spawn settings for plants is the same as all the other modes. It's only custom games that have less saplings spawning in
  10. Yeah, this feels like a bug/oversight, maybe?
  11. I've started to change my mind about the harvesting animations a bit. The lurchiness of it depends a bit on where you are positioned relative to the carcass when you start to harvest - which makes sense - and I don't find it as motion-sickly as I did in most cases. I am guilty of a bit of a knee-jerk 'unfamiliar thing bad' reaction and I admit I'm getting used to it now.
  12. Love this drawing, thank you for sharing and expressing what so many of us feel! My new favourite thing is erasing spray paint markers in first-person with the new clothing animations.
  13. X is pretty locked down these days if you don't have an account. That link shows me a tweet asking a question, but I get the feeling you're saying Raph responded saying to Watch This Space for the Decemeber Dev Diary. Unfortunately, I can only see the tweet you linked and not any of the replies or QTs. Can you link directly to what Raph tweeted? Thank you
  14. I definitely find stumps for both birch and maple. I thought maybe it's stumps for some of the saplings in a clump if the others do spawn in, but I've for sure walked over stumps where there've been none to harvest. My Harvestable Plant Availability setting is turned to low, though, so maybe that's what's going on (all default modes are set to high).
  15. I think maple spawns that are not favoured by the RNG still show up as sapling stumps, so it should be possible to tell. Understandable if you didn't take as much notice of them as ones that spawned, though.
  16. Very interesting, that makes total sense but I never thought about it. Adding that to my headcanon. ➡️🧠
  17. For me it really isn't about difficulty, it's more about.. 'niceness'. Even if ZoC was as 'easy' as Mystery Lake, with warmer weather and fewer blizzards, less fog and less deadly wildlife, an open-cast mine still isn't my idea of a nice place to spend time. Mystery Lake is a holiday destination, Pleasant Valley, Mountain Town and Coastal Highway are communities. ZoC's appeal is that it is interesting and different and dark and requires cool mechanics, certain kinds of planning and figuring out, things that are appealing - very appealing - in a game but not IRL. Other regions are appealing because they are just nice places to be. I'd like more of those, even if they are blizzardy and full of nasty wolves. Just for the balance. I hope you get what I mean.
  18. Yup, terrible reasoning. Far away from what? It goes both ways - if you spawn in the Far Territories, it's Lower Great Bear that's big and far away!
