  1. I don't get what your complaint is. On the one hand, you don't seem to be able to master Loper in all regions, and on the other hand, you complain because a certain mechanic makes it easier. Learning a little willpower ain't a bad thing 😛 -t
  2. Of course, that's the point. If you play Interloper, the margin of error is (and should be) slim. If you don't know the maps, you have no business surviving in Interloper. Easy fix: don't use the starvation hack. It's your choice. -t
  3. What do you do with batteries on Interloper ? -t
  4. I have yet to meet anyone that knew what they were doing, and ran out of resources. You can easily live 1000s of days, even in Interloper. All a matter of managing the existing resources well. -t
  5. That's no problem. I got a 1000+ day survivor, he just recently moved into his 2nd region 🙂 -t
  6. Is there any chance Blackrock Mountain is NOT located between Mountain Town and Pleasant Valley ? Let's not forget the crashed prison transport bus from Episode 1. That tunnel most likely lead to Blackrock Mountain. -t
  7. Got the same thing. It links back to the same Sep 2021 Developer Diary we are discussing here. Unfortunately, no additional / new information. -t
  8. Ah, ok, I guess I got confused - toolkits in the context of bearskin coats ??? -t
  9. I think he misspoke. You can crate fishing hooks, and then create fishing tackles to be used in lieu of repair kits. -t
  10. Cabin fever is a problem at Angler’s Den. At Foreman’s retreat, the nearby “two-way cave” is warm and protected from winds. I do all my cooking there (more efficient with firewood. With a bear roll, you don’t even need a fire when sleeping of cabin fever -t
  11. I only shoot bears heading towards me if I have a safe place to escape to. if I’m in a place the bear can reach, I crouch and shoot him in the ass. Since the bear doesn’t know where the shot came from, it will run away and hopefully bleed out. -t
  12. In general, with some mountain goating, you can get from the highest points to the lowest points w/o much pain. If you don’t want to goat, then it depends WHERE in Ash Canyon you are. -t
  13. First post in this thread. I just want to add that y’all are wrong, and I am right. Not telling about what 😜 -t
  14. Yeah, those bedrolls are fragile. I recently had a bedroll go from about 80% to 0% from one wolf attack. Ridiculous. -t
  15. I hate CH due to all the wolves (at least in Stalker). Would never set up long term camp there. -t
  16. I’m not against MK or Mountaineer’s Hut as great long-term bases. But you always have to be a bit more careful due to the wolves. I had a wolf jump me when I exited Mountaineer’s. In AC, you don’t have to pay attention. -t
  17. There are wolves, especially on your way to the ravine. By that measure, I don’t consider it as safe The High Meadows / plateau in AC. -t
  18. I recently had a one-shot kill of a bear, and it was in the butt. I was shocked. I crouched up on it from behind, expecting to hit it in the butt and having to wait for it to bleed out. But no, collapsed right there. -t
  19. There are two deers (one at Foreman's, one close to the bridge to High Meadows), with re-spawn rates of only about 7-9 days (Stalker). I'm playing Stalker well fed, so my caloric intake is higher than what you would do on loper. Yes, collecting sticks has to be a daily routine. Firewood in Ash Canyon is a bit more scarce than in other regions. -t
  20. After playing Ash Canyon for a while, I concluded that the High Meadow and Foreman's Retreat is the best safe retirement area in the game. - large area w/o wolves - plenty deer and rabbits - occasional bear spawn providing meat and hides - enough firewood from sticks - fishing easily accessible for food and lamp oil Other than perhaps an annual trip to BI to refurbish tools, one could live in Ash Canyon safely almost indefinitely. -t
  21. Someone mentioned in a different thread that if you put the cramp ons in the INNER accessory slot, they wouldn't take any hit damage. That's at least something. Right now, I'm only putting them on for rope climbs. But if the natural decay is the same as wearing them on the inner slot, I might as well keep them on. -t
  22. Cramp ons can not be repaired. Is that intentional ? After using them for a couple of days, I lost 3% condition. -t
