  1. Why a season pass? Is season pass just the french way of saying pre-purchase? I am assuming we won’t lose access to content once the season pass is over? Is it so, more people will by all three to four DLCs instead of just a few? Are we going to have daily quests that you have to complete enough of to unlock the new content? Hmm Hmmmm!
  2. You’ll notice that the past few regions have had stepped cliffs. The only one that mainly uses the old cliffs is black rock so, that it fits in with the rest of wintermute.
  3. Have you tried the Russian translation mod?
  4. What does this have to do with the long dark? I'm in the same boat as Hozz1235, if I told you I would get banned.
  5. I live in the high Uinta's where there is snow on the ground year round and all most every night gets below zeroF in the summer time. So yes, I play the long dark in a cold room if in a room at all. I enjoy sitting outside and playing the long dark in all weathers.
  6. What country are you in? What country do you think Hinterland is in? If the answers aren't the same and not in North America then the answer is no.
  7. Wait so, when Hinterland says mode support they mean mode support? Not they give their blessing to make modes? I they doing paid modes? Suddenly I’m not so sure about this whole modding venture. I’m mean I’m sure they’ve crunched the numbers and found that it’s worth while, but they’ve published mistakes before.
  8. Sorry I thought this was in the modding section.
  9. I already play with a modification that makes the wildlife re spawns significantly longer by increase the base and exponential part of the equation. I'll mostly be focused on building a custom region and adding what I need for that. I'm torn between going with the grounded more fitting idea I have or an underground region that reminds me alot of Aberration from ARK: Survival evolved. If Hinterland allows paid modes I could justify doing both.
  10. Just sneak the change into a bigger made.
  11. It is incredibly easy to just plug graphics assets into the place of existing assets.
  12. Open unity and try building the game from scratch. Use the original only as a reference. After you have made a "functioning" copy map out every function until you can spit out tree's, table's and file families like you made it. Then go make games using the technic you learned from the inspiration piece. Then apply your newly learned trade to make a mod as well as launch a secondary career in game design. At least that's what I did. Just not with The long dark and you obviously don't have to do that last part.
  13. As is Black Rock Prison is a better survival mode region than bleak inlet. I'm a bit confused as to why noise makers aren't craft able from the start, but it not something I view as actively negative. I do think they are the best implementation of a grenade that could be done and I do understand the desire to make wolf encounters easier to survive for beginning players, but I'm worried the will be to strong of a first order optimal strategy. Ultimately an unnecessary item, but not a damaging one. I'll agree with Lord of the Long Dark on this in asking why. While the ballistic vest isn't as pointless as the spray paint I don't see any one except beginners using it without an increase in the amount of damage done by animals attacks. Is that part of the point. To dilute the amount of useful gear. I haven't used the crampons much yet so, I'll have to wait to see on them being reparable. I'm gonna kind of miss some of my favorite spots to fall into the void at. I'm both exited to make mods for the long dark, but a little apprehensive that no one will play Hinterlands game any more. Thus muddling it as a work of art. Only time will tell. It seems like there's been a greater emphasis region specific stuff in an attempt to get players to explore the new region. If so why? If the game as a whole is good players new and old be able experience each region out necessities generated by the core gameplay loop.

  15. An animal a smaller animal that doesn't bleed out, Has an all most zero percent base chance of being killed by a revolver, is way more power full than wolves in struggles, frightens of wolves, but if the wolves get to close gores them, has a decent amount of meat and gives a hide that can be used to repair wolf skin clocks instead of actual wolf skins thus giving players more time before they start thinking of wolves as strictly prey animals by make the less good to hunt but, makes them feel like more of a nuisance in the comfortable late game (both problems can be partially solved by increasing the spawn time)! Also has a run by attack that damages magnifying glasses, knocks your weapon out of your hand, knocks you over followed by a tackle and then tries to gore you, does a bunch of damage on the charge with a chance to gore, can't be scared away and roams far and wide from it's original spawn. Imagine one of these wandering around leaving trails of blood from wolves in each region. Every encounter that you can't escape from ending in one of your deaths. Animal who killing isn't particularly useful, but is always out for blood. A lot of players would get frustrated with the lack of good loot, but even if there weren't any new recipes, just making they're hides an alternative for repair bearskin stuff would be good enough if significantly slower respawns were implemented. As is the game has a mechanic where if your repeatedly killing animals in an area they respawn slower, but the difference is so, small that I didn't even notice until someone told me. The Idea is to make the world more empty and feel more desolation over time. Decreased animal counts ought to take place other regions than the one you're currently in. In a nut shell I think a boar would be a great addition especially to survival mode.
  16. "This is literally the "you tried your best category". I always see people talking like this category is for smaller scale projects , but that's obviously not the case I mean the winner this year is Grand Theft Auto Five. I know some people poured their heart and soul into that game, but that can be said about nearly every game. While I can't think of anyone I am sure that there were people working on it that we're just there for a pay check. What is even nominated this year? agi'n! No forager, no plant zoo. Not even a game from this year, but also a game that's already one. I'm I missing something, is Grand Theft Auto Five the greatest game ever made or to be made. Is this it, have we made our Citizen Kan. Does Grand Theft Auto Five deserve all the praise in the world? I'm being hyperbolic of course. I not really even mad at the fact that Grand Theft Auto five keeps winning and I'm not really even saying that they are undeserving of the award. I just find the ambiguity of the categories appalling. I realize art awards require a level ambiguity in order for new works to win them. How ever these are something different these half of these categories might as well say, the what ever we feel like advertising category." -Me
  17. I shut the voices off years ago but, the most annoying one is defiantly the ones for when the sun goes down.
  18. You no what is actually ironic. How sandbox mode usually tell a better story then story mode.
  19. I for one won’t be replaying it until episode five comes. At which point I’m going to play through all of them back to back so, I can finally reflect on wintermute a complete work.
  20. Favorite episode so, far? Because I am curious.
  21. You clicking the wrong part of the door. You have to click the right side for some reason.
  22. I thought they were wolves a couple times.
  23. As I was playing the episode I thought this was supposed to be a clue to her back ground. Notice that she does mellow out over the episode which I think is supposed to endear us to her. I was to disappointed that she wasn’t Katie to really care about the new character.
