    Salt & Jerky

    I think we can use both: Salting: better conservation, slower decay rate (even indoor) by 30 %, however, lower nutrition level and negative effect for hydratation. Smoking: Just slower decay rate, like 20 % no negative effect for nutrition. Curing: can be used for both conservation as additional decay protection. Just salt&cure or smoke&cure.
  2. Could devs create pinned thread in wishlist section confirming what ideas can possibly be integrated into a game (eventually what is considered by devs as possible implementation)? It would prevent suggesting same ideas again and again. You know there are excellent ideas, very possble to integrate wihout much coding problems.
  3. They you need static prop, like we have a furnace for black smith, we need reloading press for ammunition production. With static props around this press you can simplify the crafting mechanic only for powder/projectiles or casings/projectiles (missing component is replaced with prop around the press, like cans of powder or boxes of and spread casings).
  4. Huh as "sport" shooter i can give cent or two. Black powder in modern firearms is useless. Sure, bolt action rifle and revolver in game is less sensitive for ammo quality than semi auto, but there is still problem with low muzzle velocity (due to propellant and lead, non jacked projectile). So if you dont have any factory components and fabric tool for ammo reloading, you lost. Without fabric components you will not be able to create any functional round of ammo (like .45-70 or .44-40) and you will not be able to produce blackpowder of high quality. You probably end with crippled cartridge filled with powder from matches and it wont anything further than 5 meters. Or it turns your gun into a grenade. So when you get a gun, buy more ammo and its components. I cant imagine own ammo produce in the Long Dark.
  5. Why you dont release periodical devblog with a few screens and a short testament every week? Rust did that pretty well, even small details can help to keep attention of players for game.

    There is model of soap in game i would like to get a personal hygiene mechanic, however it would be challenge to implement it (probably without bathing).
  8. Wasting bodyheat to melt a snow is easy ticket for freezig to death. Wtf, you are in artic enviroment and take snow to cold you even more? nope.

  10. I am talking about reversed situation. Hot key to ready your weapon. Maybe when you press H without any active item you make your revolver ready? The long dark uses ray cast for shooting, so no bullet ricochets. Not needed in this enviroment.
  11. Holster can bring a possibility to draw revolver without selecting it in circular menu, like with hot key. Instant access in emergemency or desperate situation. I would use model of normal leather holster, but its craftable.
  12. TLD wont include any drug or alcohol abuse due to age limit for game.
  13. No to explosive and fire arrows. Useless in surival and its wasting of material (and bullets for explosive ones). Give me a break.

    Cooking pots

    Nah, we have a lot of fabric pots already. Also crafting something like this isnt very possible with limited tools. Its not a simple geometry like arrow head. I dont support that. We can suggest more more interesting items for cooking, like rocket stove, handy indoors with no regular stove or fire place. Bruh.
  15. I see more use for revolver than for rifle. Because i use fireamrs as selfdefence tool. But i would preffer a shotgun with a few cartridges than revolver with 50 bullets.
  16. Aurora has very low energy output it can barely flick a small lightbulb.
  17. I would support shotgun as defence weapon. Especially when you can find only one type of long gun in your game (rifle or shotgun, not both) so it would affect your hunting strategy. Why? Guns are not unicorns, especially in rural areas. I am oppose to add military grade stuff, but decent hunting rifle, or shotgun isnt immersion breaking. MAybe i would make ammo even more scarce (probably only near the gun). I dont like standart Interloper for that. I preffer Interloper with enabled rifle. Depending only on crafted weapons like in Stone Age, thats boring. Or i would add as way to survive in wilderness, with no civilisation, but keep scarce fireamrs in "civilised" areas.
  18. I preffer way to bury dead corpses rather than eat them. Especially it wouldnt be good anyway.
  19. Sounds interesting, but its very niche detail for casual player, who knows nothing about firearm handling. They will see it as a bug. But with proper animations of unloading and cleaning it could be serious. However no sane person cleans the gun from muzzle of the barrel (except muzzle loaders).

    Dont bother. Crafting homemade lightsticks from fungi isnt something i want to see in this game. Learn to aim. Its pointless, because devs wont add this detail anyway

    And what. Wanna a cookie? It doesnt mean it should be add into a game. Its unimportant detail. In short range you will see it anyway, in long range miss your glow doesnt help at all.
  22. Drinking steady water from a few years abadoned areas is risky. It will stink anyway.

    Why would we? Arrows dont glow. No way to craft something visible in poor conditions, so its pointelss anyway. Even flying lightsticks. End of story.

    In other side, some people will keep that pet as living can of food. And one day, you will blast off your puppy with revolver. Damn, this need an achievement.
