    Passive fishing.

I support red flag mechanism (hell, that would be nice craft item requiring advanced tooling in new region), rather than basket. Basket is more common in rivers or in areas with open liquid water, not frozen ice levels.
  2. This is even more Canadian: And Hat:
  3. 11 litres is too much for gameplay reason. I choosed 2 L, because its easily craftable by short campfire session. By game logic you dont shower, you just use wet sponge.
  4. all depends how often you have to bath. Once per 10 -14 days, base on your activity isnt much abuse for player. You dont needa much water. When you use common way, where you make your skin wet, use soap and sponge and then remove it you can do it even with 2 liters of potable water. Also it can reduce Cabin fever. In this case, you cannot bath more than once per 10 - 14 days.
  5. It would be fun as part of Interloper. Or that new challenge.
  6. I never met Fluffy in TLD, because i met game after her extermination. But i dont know if i want terminator bulletproof animal ingame.
  7. I would add soap. Model is ingame already, even with Sponge instead of Cloth. New Affliction: Scabies: 1. Discomfot (worse handling, shooting and crafting). 2. Decreased sleep recovery. Or simple you cant sleep very well. 3. It stinks. 4. Increased decay of cloth. 5. Very low health penalty. 6. Random scratching animation (you cannot carry items in hands for a long time without pause for scratch). Affliction Scabies is based on your sweating. It increases when too hot, when sprinting or when no bath in 5 - 7 days, or less based on your activity. Sponge and soap are pretty durable, like 2 % per use, so one soap-sponge can help you for a half of year maybe because you are usually very active moving in game.
  8. I think it would be great if item condition, pictured as number in inventory could be hidden for player and item condition can be assumed by item look. Some food items look exactly same for all conditions (canned food for example), but all food could be inspected right after opening ("smells good", "looks horrible", etc). It brings more cautious gameplay, than comparing simple numbers and even various item variants already existing becomes even more usefull. We probably dont need various models, just switching textures (example spoiled green venison). What do you think?
  9. Rabies infection in wilderness is endgame. You dead. Probably excellent rage generator in long term Interloper runs when implemented. Because this gameplay mechanism has no treatment, there is no point to add it to game. But here in Central Europe (CZ) rabies infection is basically non existent. Most infected species coming from Poland and its happening rarely. Hunters mostly shoot foxes on sight and bats and other species are treated with fly-spreaded medicine, or vaccinated decoy.
  10. Too complicated. Keep it simple. Ammunition is better to keep as finite resource for factory made firearms. weak crafted gun powder can be used for pipe gun. Btw, as percussion sensitive explosive for primer you can use head of matches. Red phosphorus mixed with powder glass can be sensitive. Whole idea is immersion breaking, characters are not gunsmiths and with craftable ammo, you drastically decrease need for bow.
  11. 1. I am sceptical to gun smith game mechanic. All handmade items are pictured as clumsy items, so ability to craft fireams is questionable. (Unless its some single shot pipe gun). Same with crafting ammo. 2. Crafting ammo is not a good idea in general. It destroys main disadvantage of firearms, that means finite source of ammunition. Also it brings mess with gun powder and other components. Also its not trivial, so it doesnt in basic and clumsy crafting. Mentionend in point No. 1. I think scenario, where machinery helps with createtion of more durable and advanced versions of your basic crafted items makes more items. Imagine if your handmade knife can get a better grip, because you can drill some holes in handle and rear part of blade. But we dont know anything, so its just a speculation. But like furnace, this machinery can be destination for lopers to craft some niche and unique items.
  12. And in surival mode comics can reduce cabin fewer

    TLD Fireplace Mode

You mentioned it as screeen saver. It should be transferable among devices. And doing that with unity is much harder for sure, than creating video loop. you need part of game, because i expected you want to keep same mechanic, feel and graphic design like ingame. Not sure if you can keep style with transfer into a simple flash app.

    TLD Fireplace Mode

Loop of recorded gameplay is the only way. 1. Devs wont waste their time for this. 2. Screen saver which takes several hundrets of MB (basiaclly chunk of working game)? Verry effective. Just no. But i support simple loop of fire in stove. Or looop of fireplace. Small memory size, thats OK.

    TLD Fireplace Mode

just record own gameplay with loaded fire and make a loop from recorded gameplay. Where is problem to do that. You dont need help from developers. I think static burning fire, with flying parts in space and howling blizzard from outside will make a good screen saver. You just need to set starting fully loaded fire and then set good camera angle. then sit, wait and record.
  16. in interiors you dont usually to be overheated, so taking off is required only in certain cases.
  17. I am sure that too hot mechanic can be tuned to improve TLD gameplay for everyone.
  18. A: True, but forging with parka, i would rather keep it safe away from fire. B: Forging is difficult and punishable choice. You wanna to build some cool stuff, there is price for it. If taking off some cloth or need of more water is significant forcing into spending more time and resources, then disable some working mechanics in game, they also forcing players to spend more time and resources than needed.
  19. I wouldnt be so complicated, feel like temperature if its high just increase water consumption and makes you clothes wet and smelly. Yes, probably near the forging stuff you need to take your clothes off. What is the problem?
  20. i think there should be penalty when you wear too much clothes and become extremely over heated. "Feels like" can exceed 50 °C (122 °F) in TLD with no punisment. High temperatures should cause: 1. Discomfort (you cannot sleep). 2. Thirst and increased water consumption. 3. Make your inner layer wett by sweat. 4. It makes you stinky due sweating (scent attracting predators).

    Christmas event

Some dried, dusty x-mas tree would be cool as leftover. It spawn candy cane as food item. Its two items, so i should not be too difficult to implement.
  22. Maybe husband tried to escape wolf attack and Molly "ensured" he could not.
  23. Just add button in inventory action "Create satchel stash". it creates world model and you can place whatever items in it. But devs probably wont do it, its "hard" for them. god knows what coding mess The long Dark trully is, because adding something new is horror.
  24. In older game files is revolver ammunition mentioned as .38. But they choose never mentione it when release it. They probably should not mentione .303 for rifle too. just "rifle cartridge" would be enough. they its on your imagination, if enfield is .303 British or converted in .308 Win. For revolver its probably closest for .357 Magnum. it can bring down a bear with luck, so it has to be some more potent than .38 Special. Irl i see succesfull hog kill with Glock 17, so even those "human" calibres have some potential for wildlife. Better than nothing.
