I understand what OP is saying and I think it is similar to what happens in flight simulator X when you enable dx10(11?) Preview mode. Snow glows and looks pretty bad. However I doubt it's possible to easily fix this issue. Perhaps it's graphics engine limitation?

I found another item, but I don't remember what it was. If I remember correctly, it was some tinder plug or wood? I haven't walked a lot on the beaches yet, I have arrived several (game) days and have been scouting areas and catching rabbits to stabilize my survival in new region.

This is so hard to pick!! I really like the ones that are very open ground with great visibility. Coastal highway is awesome, so is pleasant valley! Mystery lake is also very tranquil! But I haven't explored stuff like hush valley and ash canyon, maybe I grow to liking those more? Can you change votes?(haven't voted yet) Ps-broken railroad is also awesome! Love that cabin on map end!

Exiting a cabin and hearing a bear without seeing him first. At first I thought hearing a wolf when you exit was terrifying until I heard the bear roar. PRICELESS!! Wondering if that fresh deer meat at the door attracted him:) lovely fella!

I think some of us are setting the difficulty higher than we can enjoy. That can be a problem. Let's remember that this is a game. Games are meant to be enjoyed. If you are frustrated, try setting lower difficulty. We won't make fun of you:)

I think they're supposed to be common rather, in every home. It's very dark everywhere and since windows dont allow enough light, candles should be the light of the house. I'm sure due to economic collapse of the island, candles make more sense than flares and storm lanterns! Edit: but yeah, definitely need to be static, and long lasting or indefinite!

Interesting observation, his beaver is a floatplane. I am sure his planned landing site was a lake somewhere.

When I acquired the game, I started on greenhorn story mode to get acquainted with game mechanics and enjoy the story. It was quite difficult in the beginning, especially . Also, some of the things weren't quite intuitive at first, due to nature of the game and me having long time off from games in general. Once I got going, storynode survival became fairly easy, until you make a dumb move, and hang on to your deer life. Great game!

I am just sitting here wondering how uncomfortable it would be to run over naked to the fridge for a Stacy's soda pop at 3am. Keeping my clothes on until I get better idea because I wouldn't do that in real life.

Here are a few of mine in my super hard custom pilgrim dificulty. I'm in about day 70-ish. (This is my first 'serious' run.) My first rabbit snare catch!!(two actually) Pink skies, so beautiful. This was in the evening. Does anyone know where?:) I thought is was particularly beautiful composition. Probably got unhealthy dose of radiation while being outside. It's amazing how beautiful fire smoke trails through the air along the wind.

Does walking around naked save clothes wear? Is it warm enough, inside I mean? I've never tried it..

@AdamvR, I just found another one near upper falls in pleasant valley. And the first one I was mentioning actually was near the radio tower house(in wintermute astrid hears transmission of will during aurora)

This is all weight we're talking about here. Would you want to carry a bunch of blankets? Plan your trips accordingly and if you get stuck in the weather, find some shelter or fade away. Don't wander around in light clothes. This is survival, not an adventure island.
