  1. 😂I can imagine @Old Hermitusing a phone like Molly from wintermute ep3 to deliver a message:
  2. I just had a privilege of hunting a bear in coastal highway on the shore. Terrifying ordeal really! I shot him one time and ran away just in time into the house on the hill. Barely made it too! Then I came out and didn't notice any bleeding, so I followed him when he was heading towards his den. With far enough distance I decided fk it and fired a shot. He turned around and started charging. I frantically started shooting. He was closing as a train, ready to run me down into hell. Few feet away, I shot my final shot saying my prayer and he finally dropped dead. I think it was third or fourth shot. What a horrifying experience, not sure I ever want to do it again ever. But now I am faced with the dilemma. It is 80 pounds of meat that can either poison you or infect you. What do you do with it?🥩🍗🍖🤔
  3. I leave one in every satellite base fully fueled. Reason being fully fueled is I can always get more fuel by catching fish. That way, if I plan to take a long trip, I don't need to carry it from my homebase, but can travel light, make final stop to resupply before finally departing region. Often I forget what I left where though😜and I dont want to write it down in my journal.
  4. I did notice strange phenomenon like you are mentioning while cooking on a stove, when all of a sudden all my teas and coffee started boiling on the table next to the stove!! There were like 20 cups all boiling and smoking at the same time!!
  5. I have a feeling Hinterland will have to rewrite the entire code for TLD2 to satisfy our bottomless appetite.
  6. I didn't see a thread with them, so I am starting one. Here's mine. >> I am in coastal highway on one of the islands and decided to finally visit abandoned lookout. Fast forward, I passed a few hits right behind "me" on the map as I spotted a bear heading straight for me! I turned around and that sprint function never felt so dear to my Astrid life; I ran towards the huts I just passed like mad! Excited from all this adrenaline rush, I decided to turn around and go back and see the bear again. Slowly making my way up the passage, I see nothing and then realize he is heading straight for me, but his silhouette blended with black rocks behind him. This time I heard a growl! Wragh!! I turned around again and sprinted towards the huts and locked myself in. What a rush!😬😂 I think my trip is over for now. Blizzard is whistling outside and the evening is slowly heading towards the long dark. Tomorrow(in-game) I continue my climb. Here is the map of the scene:
  7. What a fantastic photo! It should go to hinterland instagram screenshot saturday post!
  8. Thank you:) I was about to post custom difficulty suggestion! I am custom difficulty advocate! May your survival be enjoyed!
  9. I have an idea: LOTS. OF. COFFEE!!! I actually used that as an emergency remedy when the trip took a lot longer than I thought and had to "Starbucks" my way home. Glad I brewed like 5 cups with me before travel.
  10. Didn'tthinterland at some point mention of doing earing animations or whatnot? Perhaps the circle loader was a stopgap meanwhile and eating animations never actually materialized?
  11. Maybe @UpUpAway95has a point. When I have to travel, I pack like there is no tomorrow; gotta have everything and hotel has to be clean and bed has to be nice to sleep in. I wonder if Astrid and McKenzie are the same way, cringing at the idea of sleeping somewhere on the floor or some cloths..
  12. Well I am sure developers are reading and discussing things we post every once in a while. When Raphael posts videos on youtube, he often mentions community.
  13. Well, wolves can smell prey from over a mile away easy. At that distance they would likely be a small dot. Seems about right. I am playing on custom difficulty and have their nose toned down a bit. It is quite manageable until I begin to haul around a pack of raw meat.
  14. Well, I am backing up my survival gameplay just in case it bugs out at some point or something weird happens. Am I cheating? No. Why? Because this:
  15. I don't know about most normal people, but I have to stop to drink, otherwise i can choke or spill on myself. Maybe eating a granola bar is easier on motor skills, but this is a lot to ask of human motor skills. Map is useless except in wintermute. GPS is fantastic! For survival, I pull up map on smartphone.(yes mine works in great bear) Meds are all most likely in the bag, so you have to stop to open the bag and grab them. Well, most of the stuff is in the bag, so you get the idea.
  16. The NPCs would probably end up with very limited interactivity if they were implemented due to the nature of the game. Either that, or they would hunt you and yell out random curse words.. It is very hard to make them enjoyable in this type of game without any plot, as you have in wintermute. They would probably end up being very generic, wandering about aimlessly and you would end up hating they are there. Hunt them like wolves maybe? I think adding NPCs to the game is like opening a stale can of worms. @Sherlock Holmes 18, this last part may not make sense when translated to your native tongue😊
  17. This is why I like coastal highway and pleasant valley. I look at the horizon or out the porch in the cabin on a hill and see all those edible NPCs! Not the same as human NPCs, but close enough!
  18. Pretty sure wolves have good sense of smell in real life. You can turn down that difficulty in settings when you start survival. Pick custom.
  19. Well yes, but no. The stove barely lights up place in front of it and the rest of the house stays dark, but a candle in each room can help me navigate easier to my bed or to tally the items I have on the table.
  20. Is there stuff behind crates that need to be broken down to get access to? I've read somewhere that there is almost like full lantern fuel jerry can under the stairs in the dam, hidden by carafes? How common is this, if true? I'd hate to break all crates everywhere just to check if there is something hidden, but at the same time, I'd be upset to miss some serious item. Please enlighten the pilgrim! Also, do crates have anything inside them? Thank you!
  21. Ok, so I'm wondering when did bear island residents get so many flares? It doesn't seem a general item one has in their closet? I'm wondering if flares at first were meant by hinterland to be used to scare away wolves, but then other means became available and flares stayed as a redundant item? I'd be happy to switch them for candles any day! I d9nt like most about them that once started, you can't stop and restart later..
  22. Well said! I wonder what would happen if McKenzie or Astrid were self aware and wondered.. why "stinky socks" set sleep timer to 10 hours?! I'll freeze in here on third hour!! Ah fk it, he can start over, let's go sleep!! -Astrid.
