  1. Hi, for me the problem was the non-functional right-klick mode (PC). There was a solution, using the wheel and going to "Pass Time" without passing time for real. After that, the reactions were normal again. It seemed, that getting rid of the items that were held, was the solution. Before that, I had to abandon and restart several runs too. Good luck!
  2. Thank You for the clarification. This is great news. I bought the DLC being full aware, that something can go wrong. The actual communication, with in-time answers to our questions is really good, in my optinion. Thanks HTL for that and keep up the good work. For other games: Stranded Deep was a nice distraction. Or try Subnautica/Below Zero, this really good stuff too.
  3. Thank You for the detailed update. I have to chew a bit on the new brake of save games. This is really harsh, as many players have built up their new characters to prepare for the new adventures, during the last 2 months. A bit more detail on how HTL will handle the late releases in regard to the one year pass would be helpful too.
  4. I totally agree. For me, reducing the needed bear hides to craft a coat, was quite an error. Although I am using my wolf coats very often, just because they are lighter and have a lower mobility penalty. I do think the change was not necessary to help newer players. On lower difficulties there are plenty of good manufactured clothes around. But it has the described impact on interloper play. Maybe it is just a temporary change to make exploring the airfield easier with the new runs.
  5. I certainly do not think so. It is - again - only about communication and staying true to made promises. This time promises with a price tag on it.
  6. My fishing outfit for FA on Stalker is as following: Rabbit hat, balclava, ear wraps, double bear coat, double cowichan sweater, rabbit gloves, double snow pants, double red longjohns, double climbing socks, mukluks. Adding up to 37c. This outfit is slowing me down too much while moving, so I will store the bear coats on drift island and change back to wolf coat + expedition parka instead.
  7. Good luck in Blackrock. Try to avoid the timberwolfs, no need to deal with them if not necessary. I found a torch as effective in holding them at bay as a blue or red flare. Flares I keep around for stormy conditions. Oh and be careful, I encountered a pack of timberwolfs during a blizzard in Blackrock.
  8. Today I arrived at the FA northeastern fishing hut in a blizzard. The sound volume increased very much as I stepped inside. Going out on the lake lowered the volume again. This was consistent and could be repeated. I will file a bug report.
  9. The cannery cache is hidden ontop of the railway car towards the sea. It took me ages to find. Other than that I have only 2 memento hints in DP.
  10. Same for me. It was a bit disappointing after the missing flare gun in the ravine... (I did not report this as a bug, though)
  11. Hi desertedone, bedrolls are quite rare on interloper. There have been several places with a spawn chance, but the locations have been mixed up with the update. So keep on searching. Go for the main locations, sooner or later You will find one. Keep in mind, that You can sleep in cars and snow shelters without a bedroll at any time. This is quite helpful at times when no buildings or caves with beds are near. Good luck on Your Interloper runs. Keep trying, even if everything seems to fail. Interloper is fun (in the end...). And keep moving until You have geared up.
  12. There is a nice image in the Meme-thread: Have there been bones at the entrance? If not You should be save if You have nothing smelly on You.
  13. A chainsaw on Interloper! You lucky fellow... I do have no garage. The basement has a variety of tools (heavy hammer, hacksaw, hatchet, prybar, knife, lantern, fuel), canned food and a bow with arrows. And there are some pinball machines - I am ready for the next aurora.
  14. I do find goating down acceptable, as we are not able to drop items off a cliff and the carrying weight barrier - especially on downward climbs - feels quite artificial. Going down, even lowering Your complete backpack with the climbing rope would be feasible and done in real life.
  15. It is, but there are quite a lot birch and maple trees spread all over the island. And You can find complete arrows too. Oh, and there is beachcombing for saplings too, in which regards "infinetly" might be true, but at a very slow renewal rate.
  16. No, it is the same with normal lanterns. It is especially visible in the new regions. Torches give way more light than lanterns in caves now. I reported it as a bug already.
  17. For me cooking level 5 is the most important, as it converts wolfs into food. Then comes fire starting, with multiple benefits: fires are more easy to start, last longer and with level 3 I no longer have to carry around 2-3 kg of tinder. The rest comes with its daily use, with mending being the hardest to master. Archery 5 is nice but not so necessary for me. I mostly hunt wolfs, shooting them while they charge me. For deer, I approach them crouched and reposition myself until they face me and stop to lower their head. Then standing up, pulling and relasing should be done in a smooth movement. This will often result in an instant kill. As there still is a risk, that the deer will run off wounded, I love to hunt deer in the Ravine. Just bring some coal for the occasional night blizzard.
  18. I just got food poisoning, eating ruined rabbit meat, despite having cooking level 5 at FA island hut. This occured on normal Stalker level. Very strange.
  19. Very good tips, Shadox. Maybe some things to add are carrying coal and some sticks with You, instead of firewood. And You should push on a little more than You think possible. Especially in the evening You can travel quite far in the remaining light and the temperatures are not as harsh as in the morning. Map knowledge is key too, and You always can sleep in cars or a snow shelter without a sleeping bag.
  20. I had the impression too, that with the update the item pop-in started happening. But I was not sure about the behaviour before. Maybe I will check it out with a time capsule version.
  21. Yes, the mountaineers hut is a great base. Coal can be found in the cave at the engine and with that You can easily get rid of cabin fever risk fishing a day or two. And then the occasional wolf to spice up the diet.
  22. It seems that the sounds are not loaded into memory once You start/enter a region. So the first time cutting is muted but after the second sapling all should be fine again. I reported this as a bug.
  23. I do like the new sounds. Especially the rattling noise every time I leave a building. That made me look around a couple of times. The new doe sound is frightening, maybe the cougar will sound similiar, just to spice things up a bit. I did experience a lot of sound bugs after the update, though. Like missing chopping sounds, if You cut Your first birch or maple in a region. Blizzards suddenly loose all sound while raging on, or (in FA) the sound is indicating a heavy storm but the weather outside is calm enough to light a torch. I reported all that as bugs already. The sheer amount of bugs and visual errors in the game at this time are astonishing to me. I would have expected a better test routine before a release.
  24. Also important things like the deactivated bunker spawns should be mentioned, just to save the players from running around and getting frustrated.
