  1. Voy. I had clothing on all body parts.
  2. Didn't think it was possible, but I got it for the first time in my 1400 hours of playing TLD. Was in AC and used a normal sleeping bag. Woke up with it.
  3. I don't understand how having the option to save or not would alter the game so much you would stop playing. What about Custom mode, where although you can't save, could be configured to be really hard to die. If you were an avid golfer, would you stop golfing because players chose to play their own, rated game while using homing balls?
  4. My name is hozz and I'm a Save Scummer. Said. I've created a .bat file and assigned it to a hotkey combo so I can: Alt-Tab to get to my desktop, Hit Ctrl-Alt-C (my hotkey combo), Alt-tab back to the game and play on.
  5. I seem to recall the one in DP not having a door.
  6. This is how you do a spoiler (minus asterisks): [*spoiler] Hide Text here [*/spoiler]
  7. No luck here. For those maps you saw where the area was revealed, it is possible they were using mods (there is one that adjusts the "area explored" when you use charcoal).
  8. I had an SSD when AC was first released (when I created this thread). My hardware has not changed so Hinterland did something to improve load times because it's on par with other areas now.
  9. Anyone manage to obtain these?
  10. In AC, partway down a long rope-climb, while resting on a ledge, a wolf appeared at the bottom of the rope. I crouched and waited to see if he would leave, but his pattern just kept bringing him back. I pulled out my rifle but couldn't get an angle on him. Maneuvering a bit, I finally got a shot and took it. Lucky - he dropped. As I was climbing the rest of the way down, you can see his paw pattern:
  11. Another first! Keep the surprises coming!
  12. ...HRV was hard to explore and navigate! Wow...I'm lovin' it, Hinterland!
  13. Do a web search - pretty sure I remember seeing "sales by country" somewhere - I think it was Steam.
  14. Use one of the existing markers and make a note in your journal what it really means (what I do).
  15. I didn't see any others mention this (which surprises me) but there are ways to back up your saves, so you can choose permadeath in the game or not
  16. I'd recommend getting the best clothing you can (among other things you'll need). Take your time and prepare well.
  17. That's actually a really good reason I back up my saves periodically. Can't imagine getting stuck like that on my 1900+ days run.
  18. I got stuck there too, but after several minutes of crouching, standing and mashing keys, I somehow got out.
  19. This changed quite some time ago. They'll run off if you pass time. My standard approach is to find a steep cliff, tree or other obstacle I can shoot from and "escape" if charged. Either way, the bear runs off. I will then find some way to pass time in the general area. 3 hours seems to work well, but is not guaranteed bleed-out time. I will then start by looking in the general direction he ran off to. Sometimes they can run pretty far but not usually. Look and Listen for crows.
  20. Yup, I've seen them, literally, walk right through the middle of them and keep on hoppin'!
  21. Love it when this happens and you hear that, "grrrrrnnnnggg" dying sound.
