  1. Congrats i did tried this challenge once when i started playing and i wasnt able to finish it beacause of the times they give to us and then i just saw a post like 10 mins ago it is someone who attempted to finish this challenge in less than 24 hours it made me want to try iit again

  3. oh i got you. i were thinking about using the lead for makkin bullets head but it would be nice to have shotguns in the game i already talked about it in another topic it would be nice for defence against big animals
  4. you could be on the same map but without being able to see each others without having the same time consuption. let me explain lets say player A is me and player B is someone else in the world. when i search a building player B sees where i went and what i took if he goes at the same place then i was he will find that the objects are no longer here cuz i took em but i wont be able to see him for real. we could be like 25 on every tld world during the tournament and beacause everybody is dependant of the same resources if you loot too late too bad for you and it would be like the last one to survive. it could be lest say a pilgrim loot chances but with higher difficulty for example stalker. we could spawn everywhere and every players would be able to choose where they start as we already do in sandbox. now there is one proble... if we play with pilgrim loot possibilities but on harder difficulty it will be easy to make it to 100 days or more if you were the first ones to loot wich could be extremely long for a tournament. maybe at lets say 10 days every remaining players get teleported in a map lest say, pleasant valley and they cannot escape, pass time etc they have to survive as they did but they can see each other and kill each other with the weapons they aquired. there could even be a system on wich you can jump on someone else if you dont have a rifle or a bow and fight like you usually do with wolves. of course is will be impossible to sleep or pass time so you will have to prepare with cofee, water etc a little bit like a hunger games thoughts?
  5. maybe smaller animals that are dificult to hunt beacause they fear you but would be better to catch with a trap like birds, beavers, coyotes etc
  6. dammn 4 years after they implemented paint but we still cant paint items, i think that this should be a fix for the next update thoughts?
  7. i understand but what if you only need a hacksaw and the tools in the cannery? you use your saw to cut some small metal pipes for example a big lamp (the ones we often see in houses that hold on some little pipe) then you take em to the cannery and transform em into even smaller pipes and they become shafts. you would need the cannery to assemble the arrow after that. and this is without talking about the interest in interlopper. you litterally neveeer need to get to BI in interlopper this is extremely dangerous for a few houses a broken lighthouse.beign able to make more resistant arrows would be soo nice

    if this things existe it would be nice to be able to "live" the journey not just tp from one dock to another in anther region... we will need to prepare food and water for the journey cuz we know we cannot light a fire on a boat we could be able to fish though. also we would have to make shure to have great windproof coats and clothes to make it alive. i like the idea. this idea makes sense with an idea i had on another topic ill quote it now the most important is the idea about earthquackes. if earthquackes were to be added in the future the boat could be an alternative to blocked paths in the mountains. it would be way quicker but extremely dangerous.

  11. i definitely like this idea i just dont think it is a priority. Reducing sent of meat is a great idea however if you are not living near the cannery would it be worth it? i mean you could prepare dozen of cans i case of a future journey but after you would have to transport them to your base etc etc. if this were to be part of a bigger update like food update meal update or something like that it would definitely worth the time.

  13. yes i can definitely agree even if it would be nice to have "permanent shelters building" it wont even be necessairy. the only time i would use them is when i would hunt far from my base and during a long time for example a moose and for that the snow shelter is perfectly fine.
  14. i just realised how i am posting too much on this wish list xD today i posted 4 new ideas so yeah it a lot... i will add all my ideas in one post instead of making new post everytime i have an idea so my first idea was to being able to OVER customise our sandboxes. what i mean by that (beacause we already can play a lot with it) is: - being able to disable the spawn of everything in the game and its spawn chances so you can really decide if you dont want certain items - being able to start with wathever we want at the start of a sandbox for example: (an aluminum can a a rock) or (socks and a knife) or (nothing) -being able to makes the world colder (i mean really colder) -100C degrees if we want -being able to make the weather cycle even more random on a shorter period of the time and being able to make the days longer/shorter and the same for the nights -being able to chose exaclty where we spawn -being able to save custom settings not juste having a code that is linked to the specific settings... this could let us make EXTREMELY difficult survival situation and controll how it starts Now my second idea is a challenge idea wich i think could be even more difficult than as the dead sleeps beacause the trouble here is everything that you have in ATDS but also you have time as a problem... (the beggining has been ispired by someone on the topic so it is no mine) You live near milton at the paradise meadows farm and it is the end of the winter... you take some week off to go see a member of your familly at the blackrock federal prison. when you are there an earthquacke happens at milton and blocks all the possible entrances to the region. except one: by forlon muskeg at marsh ridge. The only way you can get back to your familly to check if they are safe is by FM and the winter is near ending... we all know that FM is a dangerous path during winter so its not even imaginable near the spring as the ice gets thiner and thiner, sooner or later the path is going to be untakeable. But our hero wants to try his luck and start by foot from Blackrock and travels to his house. now the challenge is right here you will have two days to go from blackrock to your house and without taking the fastest shortcuts it is not going to be possible. on the way multiple dangers will come: blizzards wolf packs bears hunger. everything that we know. now if you finally get to marsh ridge alive you will still have to go from milton bassin to your house and there is still thin ice and big bears there... you will have to pay attention. the last part is the most beautiful one if you finally get to your house after climbing one of the highest climbing spot in the game you will finally see your home and a beautiful and peaceful spring hitting the plains as a reward for this challenge... Now here is an idea about a new region that would really make sense to implement a semi industrial/semi comercial zone on the coast... i know that the devs are already working on a new region but we never have enough ideas ! The idea is a region in wich all the goods in the long dark come from. If we think about it there is no propper habour so i was thinking that we need (for logical issues and player interest) a map that is connected to sea with an habour and to the rest of the world with a railraod and a road connexion. Some stores like a little grocery store, outdoor store for fishing and hunting, drug store, even a small airport could be nice to have . Where did will thaught he were going to land ? And there is already two planes crash on this island there gotta be some big air traffic near great bear. The kind of place where the local population could go once a year to refill their stocks for their watchtower or trappers cabins hehe. this leaves some space for another map that is conected to a road between BI and CH maybe blackrock? or a national park? (this is only speculative if there is no road between bleak inlet and coastal highway my idea is a little useless so i have to fill it with something xD) abandoned touristic national park could be nice just sayi'n ; ) So this last idea could seem a little crazy and i dont expect a lot of feedbacks in favor of it. In fact i dont even know if it would be great to the game this is why im putting the subject on the table I was just thinking about some random things that could be happening during a sandbox randomly but those things can completely change the way you play and you will have to adapt. i am talking about forest fire, earthquacke, BIG BIG BIG blizzard, etc. the type of things that modify the environement for ever (in a single sandbox) those things like the forest fire could destroy some part of the forest or even small buildings and change it forever lets say there is a population of deers living in that burning forest then once it has burned down the deers will migrate and you will have to find where they migrated if you wanna eat the next couple of days. the deers will never come back to the burned forest. In the case of a building you will no longer be able to acess it (there are already some buildings that have burned versions so i assume thst it wont be that difficult to add that, same for trees. the earthquacke could block entrances to some regions (as we know it regions all have multiple places where you can acess em so you will have to take other path some could be longer than before. it could also scare animals away, lest say you are tracked by a wolf it could be the one event that saved your live but will make it more difficult after that... big blizzards could destroy windows of houses making em less protected to the cold. it could also take down big trees wich could potentially block entrances to places in the world. maybe they could even make you unable to breathe if facing the wind it would force you to stay inside during the blizzard. now, individually some are easier to implement in the game but for the big blizzards especially i think that it would be extremely difficult to implement it would need to be falling tree coded case by case and widows coded case by case it would also require to make every interiors building that would have breakable windows to now adapt em to the outside map... Please if you want to add ideas to my list (im talking about the custom sandbox list) do not write a seaprate comment quote it so at the end we can get a full and complete wishlist also feel free to comment and give your feedbacks on the other subjects have a nice day y'all

  19. sounds interesting in that point of the view haha yes in real life alcohol can let you feel warmer it could be great if it is 10 degrees outside but when ya hitting some -40 degrees it is suicide to drink alcohol beacause in the game you dont event feel the cold so there is no advantage to hide the hypotermia effect on you if it is not having some blurry effect to have fun for 15 mins but i dont think this is the game for that. the only thing great that it could do is significantly help you sleeping but on the other side it makes you colder if you go outside... hmm i still aprove for the food idea though haha

  21. if there is ever an enggame possibility it would be dissapointing if it were easy to achieve. if there is end game possibility as is see it it would have to be the hardest thing to achieve that i would have ever seen in the long dark
  22. we could make the end game scenario an option before starting the sandbox or just optional even if the end game possibility comes to you you could just make the choice to pass over it and continue surviving
  23. makin leather should be simple : take a cured or uncured animal furr then take a knife to get off the hairs and it gives 1 to 10 of uncured / cured leather depending on the animal and if it has been cured or not lets say a moose hide give 10 cured leather a bear gives 7 a deer 5 a wolf 3 and a bunny 1 it should make sense. then if the leather isnt cured you cure it and use it to make more complex clothes. i never understood why there were only animals skins that were used to make clothes it should contain leather cloth and even full clothes that we can loot for some types clothes for example we could instead of makin from a to z boots we could use lootable boots and add some fuur around it to insulate it it would make the boot a little bit heavyer and warmer, like that we could be able to find 1kg boots and just adding some furr to get the warmth wanted. i think that for now the clothes crafting is too simple. there should also be some lighter clothes for example leather tshirt-leather pants and some sort of warm shoes that are not 2KG boots. sometimes we prefer travelling light and not having 2/4 of the inventory took by the clothes. so i definitely like the new clothes idea. it is really something to keep in mind
  24. i think that what would be the best way to do it is keep the system we have right now but adding two thing: - those 20 to 100L tanks of water in inside buildings. those tanks we would not be able to take em in our inventory unless they are empty so we can move em. those would work like the toilets we would take water out of em but we will also be able to refill it up so we will no longer have those millions of water bottles laying around. with this system we will only be able to carry our usual water bottles and having big water supply tanks. i would love to see that many buildings dosent have a toilet so it would be a logical alternative to find water. - adding a perishable water system. think about it, everything in the game can "perish" so why the water is the exeption? especially the water in plastic bottles beacause it makes the plastic transform in microplastics. so why dont we have a alternative of reusable water bottles for carrying water around when exploring and those big tanks of water to slow the water from perishing when we stock big quantities of water?
