  1. My mother used to keep a recipie box in the kitchen it contains all recipie she knows on paper. I am shure many other people use to do that. maybe it could be common to find recipie boxes in houses and it would be like a book we can read the recipies and burn em once we finish. those recipies would help to our recipie experience (could be seaprate from cooking). i did not thaught about that one. maybe throwing the glowstick in a water bottle could give us more light time. (i am not a physician but i know that light travels fater in the air than in the water.) it would be nice to0 to be able to attach it to our backpack it would provide light and your hands would be free.

  4. well i think that beacause jerry cans are heavy and rare it is not a great idea, adding the weight of a gun it does not worth the time. shooting at a wolf will already scare him with one or two bullets and that is event better it you dont miss him. even "spraying fire" with the spray can and a match wouldnt be worth it beacause as long as you have a torch and a rock on you you can scare 100% effectively any wolves at anytime. and dont get me wrong that is stupid. your idea i great the game is just not well done on that point. But it would need its own discussion topic.
  5. well the termos idea isnt really a player convenience. beacause it makes you carry 0.75 KG more in case you cook a coffee. i dont think it is exagerated. and with the cofee inside it can weight 1.50 kg wich is a LOT. the glowstick is definetly a player convinience thats not like it is a big one. 6 hours of light during one night is nothing compared to all the night you sleep instead of doing something. i happens often when i just dont do a lot of work during a day and i go through th day and still have more than half of my energy bar full. at those times i would prefer having glowsitcks to do something than just pass time until i am tired enough to sleep through the night. for the exploration part. having a glowstick is not that game changing. you just have to light a fire at the enctrance of the cave then throw a couple of logs and stack torches inside your inventory. if you do things right with one match you can explore your cave indefinitely as long as you have wood or coal. i think we have to think further before saying things are player convenience beacause you saw the list i made, even if we can do everything without those objects it is still nice to have em it adds something to the game. and for the glowstick case it does not get the life easier as we always almost die of wolves and bears. wich i dont really see how having glowsticks will help with that.

Medicine: -birch bark tea -emergency stim -water purification tabs -The GO energy drink Books: Every skill books craftable: -bullets heads -bullets casings -gunpowder -dusting surfur and stump remover -scrap lead (basically everything to make ammo) tools and weapons: -Hunting rifle -revolver -distress pistol -snare -hacksaw -bedroll -flares -can opener -cooking pot -flashlight -hatchet -jerycan -quality tools (not normal tools) -spray cans -storm lantern -whetstone -matches Almost every items in the game are player convenience and not needed to do any task they just get your life easier. but without em the game just look bland and incomplete...

  9. definetly. a prison without gun locker wouldnt make that much sense. but i really really wonder what they can put insite. there is no gun that really fits the needs of a prison in the long dark. maybe the revolver.

I second this. it is a great idea! however being able to make long burning light source with only animal fat, it is absolutely cheaty. there are ideas to make it less abused: -if you melt the animal fat inside a cooking pot it will be unusable to cook water or meat after. or it could just not be possible to melt fat inside (better idea i think) -animal fat is not as hard as candles so what i suggest, is to make the candle you need: a recycled can, animal fat, and a tinder plug. you basically have to melt your fat on the fire and put a tinderplug inside. then you wait until its cold and you can use it after that. we could be able to recover the recycled can after it has burned down.
  11. i dont think i apreciate 2$ dlc's i dont see the point. you will break like 3 whetstones in the game entirely before level 100 in sharpening. then every whetsones you find are going to be 5% use for 5% repair. wich is very very fine. as i said we will never run out of maintenace tools. and if you eventually do after day 2500 you can still live in bleak inlet and repair your stuff on the mill machine

    Coal Mining

    if as @Glflegolas said, in the coal mines there is already open coal veins and coal isnt that hard, it wouldnt take that much time to collect. i dont really like the pickaxe idea, it is a heavy item and only useful for mining coal, wich does not worth the effort to carry it. maybe you would have some chaces that the pickaxe spawn in the mine already and you leave it behind once you are finished. or the second option would be to be able to mine coal with the heavy hammer (wich would be long but will not break the tool a lot) or with a hatchet (wich would not be long but would use the item quite a lot).

  15. what i like about glowstick is that they decays in 6h (according to the picture) i see no interest in adding glowsticks if they do not last long. they would let you work during night like reading or makin arrow shafts and they would be light. but they would not scare wilflife or let you light a fire and of course non reusable. as i see it it is fair. for the termos i dont see a problem in it being warm and the next minute cold if you got your liquid inside for 12 hours already. it already works like that for coffe tea etc
  16. on the contrary it may be the first item to be about cooking food better even if aloen a jerky rack isnt really valuable, it may introduce the long dark to some more complex food mechanisms wich i would highly appreciate . i dont think that the spray cans uploaded enough gameplay to absolutely warrant a great usage... but if they added a such useless item at the first view it suprised how much this item have a potential finally. and believe it of not someone actually asked for spray cans years ago in the wishlist. so i dont think it is a great way to think about what should be added or not. we have to focus about big thinks that would warrant all the time spent developping etc etc but if we were only focusing on that we would only have new regions, new animals and new weapons basically, it would make the game exactly the same and bold with the addition of new things that already exist on a different form. thats why i will almost always be in favor of new gameplay mechanics and new little funny stuff.

    Ginseg is a plant that helps you stay awake. it is like coffe. i would like it to be in the game as a drinkable or eatable.
  18. i would like different mountain style depending on the regions. hushed river looks different than timebrwolf so it would be wonderful if blackrock too looks different
  19. The images are not from me they are from someone who is 3d modeling on a tld server on discord. i liked his/her ideas so i am sharing em here to make more noise. what do you guys think about those ideas?
  20. fishing is for now the worst food gathering activity if we look at time spent/calories or food gained. you can spend 12 hours fishing and only ge tlike 6 fishes. if you hunt for twelve hours you can get a LOT of meat. way more than fishs. and beside of that fishes are really heavy. it takes a long long time ot get fishes back home and you dont get a lot of calories. fishes need buff and those are my ideas: making between 1000 and 700 calories / for a kg of fish depending of the specie giving way more oil when the fish is cooked. being able to craft a fish bundle : it is a bag that you can place in the acessory slot of the clothing. it can be crafted with guts scrap metal and rabbitskin hide. it lets you have a X number of fishes hooked on that bag and it makes all the fishes hooked on weight 30% less. we can have two at the same time unlike moose hide sachel. i think that all of those ideas would make the thing better but only one or two would be enough to make this activity more interesting

Ive talked about this on many discussions but it did not made enough noise. ive suggested improvised revolver and flare gun (limited use, less reliable, hard to craft etc etc) and multiple people suggested more durable bow. if you want to hear more about it there are topics about that. all of that to say that i really feel like we need a use for the cannery in the interlopper gamemode. for now the region is dangerous and does not offer a lot on that difficulty. that is the only region in wich we would not want to go in beacause of our game difficulty. i would want anything that could be helpfull in interlopper and that worth the travel. i would like that anybody that has an idea, to give it here
