  1. The more you play, the deeper you go 🙂
  2. Welcome and see you 🙋‍♂️
  3. I have no "strategy". I can't underline enough that these wolves are not ready for the game on loper difficulty and asked a genuine question, did you try them on loper ? Just curious to share your thoughts if you did. Wildlife spawn is set on very high on stalker, while it is set on high on interloper, so I guess they're a real pain on stalker either. Ps: If you're interested in dialectic, may I suggest the "Art of beeing right" by Arthur Schopenhauer 😉 Pps : Peace, understanding, beer and jokes 🙂
  4. That would instantly kill interloper mode. Did you try Bleak Inlet on loper ? The timberwolves need works before beeing srpead in the rest of great bear. Morale ? Weird management. One kill ? His buddies don't care. 2 kills one wounded ? The fourth still there. Last standing ? Still there is the morning after 8 hours sleep in safe tower. Why would I go to bleak inlet in loper ? Waste arrows, waste bow, waste health, waste emergency stim, waste cloths and skins for bullets without a revolver that is a poor defensive device anyway. Timberwolves are great but it still need work.
  5. No problem my friend 🙂
  6. On interloper, timberwolves are way too hard and ressource consuming to deal with. The moral meter : Attacked by a pack of 4, killed 2, wounded 1, the last is still growling and attacking wtf ? 1 lone wolf is not a pack anymore. Even just keeping them at bay and fire should affect their moral. I certainly do not play the long dark to frag stuff like in a FPS and I hope this will be adjusted before spreading in the rest of the regions. Worried and disapointed Long Darker here 😞
  7. Let me show you its features ha ha ha ha ha
  8. Randomly watch this 2004 movie last week. It is a gem. Long Dark players should appreciate it.
  9. Lolz ! @TehFlashBang I met the invisibear on Mistery Lake. I was in the hunting hut, hear the damn thing getting close, shoot some arrows hoping to hit it, get out of the hut to check whether it was only sound, got mauled by the ghost bear, the animation played, after that it appeared.
  10. Well, @Armiora, the guys above gave the right answers. Including that light and your ability to see is part of the challenge The Long Dark offers you, not a technical issue. Once you understand that, you learn how to spare your lantern fuel and manage torches 😉
  11. Greetings to all long darkers out there 🎅
  12. Well nothing to add but your avatar is from one of my favourite all time movies 😉
  13. Got this one too, and it cost me my game as I went out not thinking it would get unstucked
  14. Ok, I'm out this discussion, not interested in ad hominem.
  15. That is the second time I had this : Deer fleeing at trapper's cabin get stuck at the same place by pair : I was even able to reclaim my arrow from the living deer.
  16. Well, thanks to @jeffpeng who take quite of his time to make a long, sustained and interesting answer to your concerns. Anyway, I like things not to be predictible 100%, otherwise, it's boring. Somethimes a trick works, sometime it doesn't. sometime a wolf just cry and flee as you met him by surprise, sometimes it charges straight. The game bring you bad and good luck, that is nice. Hope for the best, learn to be ready for the worse. C'est la vie.
  17. From my experience, the distance you must take from the bait has increased. I like the fact that it is less predictable than before, the wolf may attack, turn back, take the bait. Before, once you had a bow and baits, wolves where way too easy and predictable. It was a challenge killer for me. I also like that they do not pointlessly charge and get stuck under the tree you're on getting shot one by one. I find the wolves more challenging now.
  18. I expereinced this on 3 occasions 1st) Fire set up near a Deer carcass Hover Dam, the wolf come up like 10 meters on the other side of fire, I crouch, drop every piece of meat I have, wait, then the wolf attacked over the fire 2nd) Rush my way to the forge with a flare on in muskeg with 2 wolves after me, light the furnace, fuel with coal, one wolf stayed growling for a long while and I really had no idea if it would attack, in early interloper as first forge visit, I would've die. The wolf got away but came back 2 or 3 times during my forging night. 3rd) Same as 1st, a wolf came twice and growled, I rushed my way away after the 2nd time droping a bait behind me I can deal with it but on early interloper, it's quite a challenge as your clothing is very poor and , when lucky, you have a hammer. I wish the Furnace and forge would drive them off though, the heat and noise could justify it 😉
  19. @turtle777 I ressuplied the fire for 3 days, the game knows the duration of the fire because of the award, on the last one, a fews hours before I let it go, I noticed the temp was not 80° anymore, I think it was something like 74° But as @romerabr said, I can't remember if I took a few torches out of it before leaving the fire. That is a possibility.
  20. Looking forward to all this. As a music lover, I take the opportunity to say I luch I appreciate TLD's music and how well it fits the game. It kinda reminds me how Neil Young made this incredible sound track for the movie "Dead Man", bringing music into it not as a wrapping package but as something which becomes a part of the movie whithout making any concession to his art.
  21. Aperture Science, we do what we must because we can For the good of all of us except the ones who are dead
