  1. Switching engines isn't an easy task from what I understand. Even switching unity versions can cause problems. There is no way this project will move off unity at this stage. For the next game they make they could go with something else, but AFAIK that fox engine isn't something that anyone else can use legally.
  2. That's impossible. Our spine is fused as evidenced by our inability to look backwards in a car.
  3. Aww if you agro'd the bear you may have been able to stack it on top of the moose for the perfect screenshot. It reminds me of this:
  4. Oh what might be a good idea is "bullet fragments". For example you need 10 bullet fragments to make a bullet, and you get like 2-7 bullet fragments when harvesting. Some of that is random, some of it could be based off harvest skill. edit---- Pretty much what birb said but with a touch of randomness.
  5. Custom mode is the most fun, feats are something you also enjoy. The devs were smart not to let you have too much fun because that's bad. Fun is the root of evil. They're on a quest to stomp out evil, they.....ah no I can't continue this is too silly. Seriously though the devs know people are unhappy that feats are disabled. They worry people will make the game too easy on custom to grind feats out. To them, keeping people from unlocking feats too easily is worth making many people unhappy. Amelbeabk, you can use feats in custom, but you cannot earn them......unless you that that thing that you can't mention on the forums because they will ban you. Then you can.
  6. That's a lot of frickin rabbits. You should eat them all in one day!
  7. While you could find larger chunks of the bullet, lead has a tendency of breaking up when hitting something like a deer. Actually, people who hunt with lead bullets probably ingest a small amount of lead each time they eat that animal even after carefully getting any lead they can find out. Personally I would probably only hunt with iron/steel ammo, maybe copper would be fine too....if I had to actually hunt and I had the choice that is. Anyways my point is you could maybe get something less than a bullet when harvesting.
  8. Heh, I have no interest in lasering over a bear. People who want stuff like that should check out STALKER:Anomaly. You can shoot mutants with a PKM or RPG. I want the following mods: A massive animal spawn reduction Heavily reduced rabbit snarring Realistic meat and calorie amounts for animals Animals can freely wander and not be stuck in their bubbles Animal tracks last much much longer, possibly days, so we can hunt them down House temperatures always move towards the outside temperature A home heating system so heating a home in important A fishing mod so it's not so OP Possibly a bone tool mod so I can try living long term without a forge in TWM or somewhere Highly reduced or removed decay of items. A coat inside a house that isn't worn would not decay at all, and food kept below -5 or whatever stops decaying. A more detailed food system where you slowly get weaker(or stronger) over time from not eating instead of taking health damage A more detailed thirst system where you don't start dying in under a day from dehydration. Again no health damage from this, but you will suffer effects and eventually die. A more detailed hypothermia system where you don't take damage from cold, but you can freeze to death. Frostbite can still cause damage. Modified health regen. The current awake regen on lowest would be the new sleep regen, and the lowest awake regen would be cut in half. Maybe a sprain system where sprains have around a 0.01% chance compared to the current system of happening but they are far far worse and last for potentially weeks A new sprain chance where sprains have a higher chance of happening whenever you get into a falling state. Falling a meter or two with 40kg of stuff should have a decent chance of getting hurt, probably. I could probably add more if I thought about it or wrote them down when playing the game but that's what came off the top of my head.
  9. Hinterland, on purpose, has made it so we cannot look backwards in a car. Being able to turn your head is the opposite of the game's vision. There is no way it's going to happen.
  10. Bears seem to ignore everything but the player so I doubt anything would happen. They would probably stack or clip through eachother if you were able to line it up right. Probably.
  11. It would be interesting to see the survey results if hinterland were to post them. Keeping in mind of course the people who got the game, played it for 5mins and got too frustrated and never looked at it again are far less likely to have taken it.
  12. One potential is to continue to make some game conditions more and more difficult over time instead of stopping at a certain point. For example if animal spawns were cut to 60% of their previous value every 15 days or whatever. So at 1, then 0.6, .36, .216, etc. Eventually you would starve to death from lack of food, but that offers a goal of getting as far as you can that can never be reached as you could never live forever. Same thing could be done with temps, though the magic houses kinda make it not work very well.
  13. I find it interesting how popular achievements are. Especially that so many are willing to do things they don't enjoy to get them.
  14. That's neat, I like seeing this
  15. If it's so bad why are you doing it?
  16. I agree with number two, but not three or four. I find cairns to be useless for how I play. For number three I say, especially at the start, use tools all the time. The first little bit of a run is the most dangerous and getting all the help you can will increase your chances of survival. Heck, last game I used a stim just on a road to get out of a blizzard more quickly. Later on in the game when I am geared up I won't need the stim so much so it won't matter, but it sure helped on day one or two. Of course, everything I said is subject to personal play style and objectives.
  17. Actually the cans of pop I've left in the freezer have never burst. I wonder if it's a brand difference?
  18. Oh okay. I know a number of monitors can be used on an xbox but you may need to find an audio solution. Maybe there is another reviewer that looks at TVs and measures the minimum brightness. I am not sure.
  19. I guess I should say maybe it would give me a reason to use them. The other option would be to not have the tabs be so heavy. I personally don't find them worth picking up.
  20. That might make those tabs useful
  21. Hello. First of all I wish to share a channel which does excellent monitor reviews. In particular they test minimum brightness which may make a big difference to your eyes. Now to answer your other questions, yes caches still exist, but not on the lowest loot settings/interloper. Sticks take forever to break down because hinterland doesn't seem to care about getting anywhere close to reality. As far as I know there are no plans at all to implement a sled
  22. Certain veggies could potentially be grown indoors. If they implemented a house heating/insulation mechanic then we could grow a few veggies by the windows if we managed to keep the temperature up inside.
  23. Nope I had no idea. I always assume steam games use DRM. If they give me a steam key I would possibly consider DLC.
  24. That's a good point. I likely wouldn't even consider DLC if it wasn't released DRM free. I do wish to mention that, AFAIK, hinterland could just give all GoG users a steam key for the game if they wanted to. That would likely win over some people. I suspect that a lot of people on GoG use GoG because they don't like epic/steam for one reason or another and simply wouldn't be interested in paying for stuff on steam anyways. But I am sure some would at least.
