  1. Main base typically is ML. I do have auxiliary caches spread around areas I know I will return to.
  2. While waiting this morning for the update, I'm going to head over to the Transition area so I can gather some acorns there, then head into FA hoping the transponder signal will fire there. Course, this is all dependent upon how the Tale will be delivered to us. I still think it will be like a standalone challenge, but I hope I'm wrong!
  3. I use it to mark looted cars which I can't lift the hood on. I also use it extensively in HRV to mark the cave system entrances. I then mark branching paths within the cave system so I know which path leads to which cave exit. Makes navigating a cinch!
  4. It's a good question @TonyInPleasantValley and one I've posed myself. I had a 2100+ day run that I swore I had gotten all cattails on but I would still find some in areas I had been to dozens of times. I tacked it up to my own oversight when I was initially "gathering them all". The only way to truly verify they do grow back would be to take screenshots of cleared areas, then come back after 1000, 2000, ? days and check the cleared spots. I just saw there is a mod to regrow harvestables...
  5. Please don't tell people what they should and shouldn't do. People who have earned time off work should take it for whatever they want.
  6. I also try to conserve ammo, but unless you're a really bad shot and blowing through ammo, you should never run out. I had a 2,000+ day run and still had tons.
  7. Okay, I see now. I'm wondering, with the food on the ground, whether you're not seeing an option because it's ruined? Could be a failsafe HL put in for us. Stove - the interfaces are different because you're wanting to cook something on an empty burner while the other is items you can cook in the pot. When I'm cooking a lot of meat, I will drop it all on the ground right in front of the stove, then click and drag the item from the floor to the burner. Goes real fast! I do wish there were more filtering options for cooking though. Sometimes I have a hard time getting the item I want (coffee for example) at the top of the list.
  8. I like it. If fire-starting isn't an issue for you, you can always create multiple campfires.
  9. So, we'd have to play Story mode to do the Tale? Survival mode currently doesn't have any "objectives" (except to survive however you can). I would love it if they could implement Tales into Survival but seems like it would be a lot of work. I'm anticipating Tales will be a standalone experience, just like Challenges. Hope I'm wrong!
  10. I've gotten that with most snow-shelters. Supposedly, they fixed some audio issues with the last hotfix.
  11. I'm not one to say who listens to what, just giving my opinion.
  12. All I ever listen to to while playing, is in-game music.
  13. I've heard of others having a real hard time finding some of them, but they eventually did. You've looked in all the locations listed here?
  14. Yes, hook/line for sewing does wear them out. Sewing kits are there for early game use. Maybe salvage something from the Bow, but I can see the others becoming worthless Do you prefer to eat the meat from the ground like an animal? Not recalling the differences, can you provide screenshots?
  15. If you continue to experience anomalies, I'd start by doing a few things: If on Steam, do a 'validate/verify files' Begin removing mods Uninstall/reinstall TLD I continue to have some weird behavior - I open a car hood, transition in & out of a location, and the car hood is down. I'm pretty sure it had something to do with a mod, but even removing all mods and loading a prior save, it seems like I'm stuck with the behavior.
  16. @Admin, can you give us a time when Part 2 will be available on Steam please? I'm trying to plan some time off. Thank you.
  17. I think a cougar-head hat would look bad-a**!
  18. I'm assuming Tales will be like challenges and not available in Survival. We will see very soon! Instead of Challenges, TALES FROM THE FAR TERRITORY will include three narrative-driven Tales, stories of the territory's mysterious past, each with narrative-focused gameplay objectives that help build up the story of Great Bear Island, and connect back to the WINTERMUTE storyline which culminates in Episode Five.
