The moon shot was cabin fever, spent the night one the little ticket booth at the entrance, that was a tough few days. Spent the three days before recovering from 3 consecutive bear attacks (apparently I don't learn lessons easily). That damn bear took 4 arrows and 2 rifle rounds to take down! Not before the 3rd attack though, came round to a dead bear at my feet.

I can't remember the name of the cave right now, if it has one (still not familiar enough with the region to have it completely memorized yet...). But, it is near a spawn in location, if you choose to be silly like me, and start in the region with nothing, lol! And has a deer carcass nearby, rabbits bopping around, a dead guy with a hatchet laying beside him, and a hidden cache that always seems to be there for me, not too far away. One of the few landmarks I always recognize, to be able to know where I am on the map, whenever I see the mouth of the cave. Nice to have so much scrub right out front for a fire if you land there at game start. And find the hatchet, lol!

I'm not sure if it has a name, but if it's the one I'm thinking of, it's just northeast of Stairsteps Lake. I didn't spawn in the region, I visited it for the first time on a long Interloper run. This cave was the first one I found in the region, stayed for a while, then wandered north and east to Monolith Lake, then back to this cave again. I came back just in time to be greeted by three wolves right around the corner from the cave (one at a time, but one right after another), and heard the angry crows signaling a bear somewhere nearby but didn't see it. I'm almost out of cloth and down to two arrows, so I'm heading back toward Milton to freshen up, then back to explore more. Hushed River Valley is a beautiful area, especially in those rare times when it's sunny and calm.
