  1. He wrote that he's not getting bored with playing more than 2k days, and I guess he wanted to establish a World Record like so many people do on other games. I don't know if the WR was a personal goal or not, in any case that's what he did : establish a WR ^^
  2. Thank you Hinterland, thank you ! You're keeping your game alive, continually bringing new mecanisms, tools, challenges, and obviously region ! This is just great ! Can't add more, I'm jaw-dropping
  3. I don't get it, there is a mine entrance blocked just a few meters before the rope-climb spot (without rope). Was I wrong to assume that THIS was the entrance to the Langston Mine ? I mean, the signalisation panel gives 3 directions, and for me Immutable Hesitation was in the general direction of the 3rd one. I agree though that the view point, Conductor's Dropoff, seems a very good place to hop into another region
  4. I completely agree with that, and for my part, the fact that you clearly state you're working "no-crunch" is inducing all of this. I mean, the "no-crunch" statement is not only about how people conceive, develop, even manage projects or a complete program. It's also and mostly (in my opinion) about how you manage your ressources, and the humans under your responsibility in particular. I have to say your "no-crunch" statement decided me to try your game, and I must say I've been more than impressed by all you've developed as the years went by, especially the last couple of years we've been through ! Bref, please, keep on working like you do, please keep on providing us with whatever you develop, whenever you feel like it's correct enough to deliver it to us ! Cheers to you and your team !
  5. As I understand it, yes, it does make a difference : the external layer is about wind, water, and heat, when the internal layer is concerning heat only. This is true until the external layer is completely frozen : at that moment, the internal layer is also taken into account against water. I'm not sure this goes on for the secondary layer of upper clothes (sweaters, shirts, etc...) but if you want to make sure this follows the same rule, it's quite easy to test it : stay outside during a snowfall and each layer should become wet one after the other...
  6. Indeed, Keeper's Love that place, except when there's a blizzard roaring
  7. Knight definitely here: I keep playing other games regularly when they come up on sales. Right now waiting for a sale on BG3 or Starfield, whichever comes first. Then I'll play alternatively the one I bought on sale and TLD to calm down. Always come back to TLD, for several years now...
  8. make sure you d'ont have any arrow in your inventory first : that way, your crafted arrow will have a 100% durability. You can then grab the ones you dropped, and they'll also get that 100% durability... Yes, it's a stacking bug, on the known list.
  9. Yup, found them in high places each time. So far, I've seen at least 4 nests in FA, none in Transfer Pass and Far Branch, 2 in BRR, 2 in FM, 4 in MT, and I'm now heading to HRV to check for ingredients... The weather has to be sympathic for them to show up but the fog is not a problem, except to actually see them
  10. Congratulations on a job well done! From my point of view, issues are corrected, in a timely way I must say, and we can get back to fully enjoy your wonderful update ! @Admin Please convey my many thanks to the dev team
  11. If I remember correctly, you have to first prepare them (use your crafting menu), then cook them (using your cooking menu), then grind them (using your hammer in the crafting menu) and cook them again to have a light version of coffee.
  12. Nope, never had that problem...
  13. I agree and have the exact same feeling : improvised crampons offer a better sprain-protection than the AC crampons (which I also found on TWM Summit in my current run by the way). Far less sprains, and a durability that's about the same as the "true" crampons.
  14. Taking the time to write my thanks : this update seems to me totally aligned with what you gave us until now, I really look forward playing with the 2 new systems and discovering new items and plants ! Simply, you're great, and again, take all the time you need to deliver your quality
  15. @Merrak You're right, for now, we just have 3 rifle variants, 1 bow, and 1 lantern, as well as several new clothing items : flight jacket, aviator cap, technical balaclava and hockey shirt.
  16. Just like many of you, I don't listen to music while wandering the surface of Great Bear Island, but some songs drive me back to it. Can't explain why or how, but these songs have this "drive" : whenever I hear "Once in a lifetime" from Talking Heads or "Old Man" from Neil Young , I just need to step into my Will or Astrid character and find my own pathways in the snow. Once in a Lifetime - Remain in Light - Talking Heads Old Man - Harvest - Neil Young These are just 2 of them, but many more call me to set foot again on this white hell we all enjoy
  17. Leading IT projects here, I know for sure that when you try to stay true to your commited release date at all costs, you deliver a lower quality product or service. Plus, it usually backfires on you because of the missing options or very simply the amount of bugs that keeps your dev and testing teams highly occupied and under pressure, of course making them unavailable for the next project... Quality takes time, I'm still repeating this to whoever can hear : if the funds stay the same (meaning you still have the same dev team size), then you can't ask for reduced time at the same quality level. It's a project management basic... On the user side, I prefer quality over quantity, and this is precisely what your game gave me over the years. I bought it a long time ago, and it has never run over me, just like many of others here. Take your time, release when you feel like it, pressure is bound to have you making mistakes - avoid it at all costs ! No worry, your fanbase is waiting patiently, because you already proved us what you can do, and that is a very high quality game !!! Cheer up ! You're gonna make the best out of it !
  18. I have to agree with you, insane luck, both of us ! Well, it was just 3 days ago
  19. I definitely count a 100% revolver with 4 cartridges in as one of the "best loot" I found in the safe of Hibernia Processing during my actual gunloper run !
  20. Ok, nothing in Crumbling Highway, too bad... I had to pass through it from DP, during an aurora was as easy as expected...
  21. I definitely plan to hunt ! Coming back from DP, you have 2 bunnies to play with that can help you deal with the first 2 wolves you encounter and the usual last is on the other side of this transition region... I don't have big hopes for anything actually, I just want to make sure the place has been thoroughly checked
