Marvin 2 / Day 17 I slept in today. In broad daylight this place looks even more familiar. Almost like… could it be? I put the thought off for now; I’m getting hungry. It’s been a while, but I soon get the hang of it again. In between warming breaks, all four bunnies are bopped and roasting on the fire. I eat as much as I can hold, leave the leftovers behind for later, and head up the very familiar-looking hill. I come face to face with Will’s crashed plane! So this is where I thought it was. I grab the stim (because I need it and I need it NOW) and head down to the ravine. My condition is deep in the red by the time I get to the cave and light up a fire, and with my new Misery affliction limiting both my sleep time and sleep health recovery, I decide to sleep as much as I can, stim up, and then sleep some more. This gets my condition back up to a whopping 40%. Sheesh. Time to switch to Deadman mode, I guess… I spend the evening gathering rose hips and brewing teas, as well as checking the rest of the crash site. I find… a tin of sardines and some accelerant. It’s way too cold to break any of the crates, so it’ll have to do.

Oh, I'm sure there'll be plenty of that once school starts back 😁.

I've been practicing my Will voice for days so I can wake up early on New Year's Day and say "Looks like I survived another year."

Eh, it's alright I guess, but nowhere near as good as the original in my opinion. I find it tedious (especially the building) and it gives me a headache... Green Hell is a much better buy in my opinion, it looks fun from what I've seen of my siblings playing it but sadly it also gives me a headache... I think maybe the graphics are too much for my TLD brain to handle 😁. Subnautica is also worth a look if you haven't got it already .

*Sketchy, not Scruffy. Marvin 2 / Day 16 I wake up with Cabin Fever. Really?! No warning or anything. And the fire went out to boot. Grumpily sighing, I light up a torch and head outside, only for the torch to immediately go out for no reason. I light another torch and it goes out instantly as well. Another try and it tells me it’s too windy to light the torch. The windchill is only -9, for crying out loud! I light up YET AGAIN and the same bloody thing happens. No tea for me, I guess. What a lovely start to the day. I retrace yesterday's (more like last month's!) steps back to the cave to Milton and head through. On the other side, I’m greeted by my favorite purply-orange sunset. I pause to make tea and enjoy the view, and when I look up again, a bloody aurora is starting. In Milton. In the middle of nowhere. With Cabin Fever. Murphy really has my number today. I need to find somewhere to hole up that’s not inside. I vaguely remember there being a cave further away from town, left from the transition cave. That should do quite nicely. I don’t take 20 steps before a wolf charges me from out of nowhere. I bop him on the snout with a rock and continue hobbling on my way. Presently, numb and frozen through, I make it to Spruce Falls bridge. I’m on the lookout for the bear but he’s asleep, fortunately for me. I sneak past him and continue on my way. I’ve just about given up hope when I come across a cave! An indoor cave. Drat. I’ve no choice but to go through, fueled by my only cup of coffee and warmed by a fresh torch. I take my time, gathering coal and checking the corpse I find for an iffy can of dogfood and some accelerant. On the other side of the cave, I end up in… still Milton. It looks vaguely familiar but I can’t quite put my finger on it. There are bunnies, cattails, and most importantly, a rock formation that will (hopefully) shelter me from the wind for the night. I’m exhausted and freezing, it’s either this or nothing. I light up a fire in the shelter of the rocks, lay my bedroll next to it, and sleep for an hour or two at a time until the aurora goes away and the Darkwalker fog comes out. Fog was so thick, it corrupted the screenshot . Then I sleep for 5 more hours to top up.

That's... actually kinda poetic, in a way. I'll definitely be doing this for any forsaken rose hips I find in the future! (Except for one, I'll keep it at all times and call it Rob).

WOOOO HOOO!!! Super hyped for this, will follow with interest! TLD and Subnautica are among my favorite games of all time, and the fact that BOTH are getting sequels in the (relatively) near future just makes my heart happy .
