    I have also done this just for the completionist in me. Trust me, you can easily make it to day 3000 with the saplings available. I really only use my bow now on Bears due to the increased bleedout. I'm using the rifle for pretty much everything else at this point in my 2400+ day run. I think I still have 100+ arrows too. With the introduction of the ammo workbench, I bet you could go on for eternity.

    I'm on a 2400+ day run and I continue to find cattails now and then despite me swearing I'd harvested them all. I think the only way to verify this would be to take a screenshot of a patch of them, harvest them then come back every 500 days or so. Personally, I'm not going to be the one to do that test
