Maybe a small plastic pouch or ziplock could be added to the game. it lets you pour snow in it and you can store that bag in the accessory slot of the clothes to start melting the snow with you body temperature. it would be at last resort and not very effective
When i click on the new survey thing on the main page it tells me that I have already done it although its not true and I would really like to give my opinion about the future of the game is there a way I can do it "again" ?
its true that cold is a difficulty but the more you play on a single playtrough the less it becomes a problem with the warm clothes that we can find. Ill take the idea of @Syraith to mix it with yours. what if we needed to activate a radio towers in order to know aproximately when the big blizzard is comming. you would need to wait for an aurora to activate the towers and maybe it could be sustained in power by a battery so it can do its job even when the aurora is gone. after a couple of days when the battery is dead you are now able to collect the information and know when the blizzard is going to happen and how many days its should last.
I like this idea
Have you ever felt like we lack of long term objectives? usually the objectives are exploring every regions, finding a home, trying to craft every type of clothes and in about 100 - 150 days you can achieve all of that. then what is there left to do? repair your clothes? , repair your tools? harvest wood? hunt? yes, but for what? I think we absolutely need some more complex and fun objectives that are not like what we have seen before.
I always thaught it would be nice to have a region that is only accessible by a boat or a small raft. althought i really think it would be nice if we could actually do actions il the boat like repair clothes, make a small fire in a cooking pot or fish ( without the need of a hole )
Maybe the only way to get food on that island would be to take a small trip to the open sea and gather some fishes. or maybe birds and small plants that are unique to that region.
When you are too much time in the cold outside, your cornea can start to freeze and then you are blind until it unfreezes (i am not shure if it is reversible) so when the temperatures outside are really really cold we could start to get a blindness risk witch would not happen all the time outside and clothes like the balaclava could prevent this. or maybe a new accesory: ski glasses. it would protect the eyes from freezing.
What a nice journey! my favourite moment is when you show the day 480 thats inbteresting to see how many things we can gather during almost two years nice continuation I hope for a video when you are going to achieve 1000 days good luck !
Hi, i know for now the store is closed beacause of covid-19. But when it reopens i would really appreciate a metallic version for the mugs that you guys sell on the market. they are soo beautiful but I never drink coffee at my house so I dont really see myself buying a mug and not using it For me, a mug clipped on your hiking backpack is the most iconic thing you can have when going camping or bushcrafting and I cannot bring a ceramic mug in camping I would break it too quickly .
Thanks
I agree with well rested and well hidrated these are good ideas but i dont think the other would be that useful or that much used. i dont think there would be many situations where we can see those happening.
If we were making a sachel from and epic moose we could get 10kg instead of 5 huuh ? I hope (The idea is not that bad after thinking about it, i just think it should not be top priority and they should test it as an event before. just to make shure its not innapropriate to the long dark)
I think it sounds more like Red dead redemption . however i dont think having beautiful clothes would be that interesting in this game. When you got a bunch of clothes, you dont need Extremely wharm clothes. however if they were lighter that would be interesting
Yes, if there is a road on that map it would make sense. but i am thinking more and more about it and on one side it makes more sense to have a road and on another side it makes more sense to make that region far away from civilisation. I think that making buildings or camp in the cave make it interesting but i also think that a region with a cave system thats is that big should be far away and hardly accessible.
