  1. Probably, once i start a new run i think the airfield would be the last thing i explore. I think it's a good idea setttling down a safehouse with resources in it before exploring new content, but i can't deny that i could go to the airfield almost instantly after getting all the important gear needed.
  2. Well i do hope the handheld shortwave would allow us to access a weather forecast channel for GBI during an aurora/electrostatic fog.
  3. After hearing, or better, reading that our saves are going to waste due to the updated save systems, i kinda lost motivation to keep going with my save. All i had to to is explore CH and DP and that would be the end.
  4. Mining system. An extremely expensive (fatigue and hunger wise) mechanism that would allow you to mine the required resources to make scrap metal (via forge) and gunpowder (either ammo crafting table or some kind of chemistry table.) But honestly, not really a mechanism i would expect inside a game like TLD.
  5. Don't forget to dig a grave for your survivor or save file. Give em a well deserved but last goodbye!
  6. In all my sandboxes i played only twice i found fresh leather. If i remember i think you're supposted to let it cure just like any hide or guts to later get normal leather. Question is if it is an intentional yet extremely rare thing or just a scrapped idea that got it's way in the game?
  7. This slowness is in every indoors area. It is mostly noticeable through caves and it is annoying.
  8. Well, the ones in bear caves seems to be from a deer or some wildlife. While the one at the hunters blind in FM are actually human bones. Someone had a real bad day i guess.
  9. Never happened to me. Got any mods installed? If so, perhaps one of them is causing this issue. If not, then i guess it's the game problem. (btw i do have mods although i've never experienced this issue.)
  10. I mean, toxic fog sounds like a setting for custom just like endless night. Surely fun to play with. Althought the gas mask could be an useful addition to the game, especially since Blackrock won't be the only region with toxic gas...
  11. Yeah, twitter is a sick joke. You can't say hello without being bullied by 20 people.
  12. I had this question for quite some time now: will DLCs break mods every time we install them? One thing i know is that it won't generate any modded items outside of containers, although can it break the mods like the EP 4 release did?
  13. If there would be a blizzard with thunders i would choose that.
  14. I get it, no updates from HL is annoying, but they got their hands full now. Not only they're trying to fix a couple of game breaking and/or annoying bugs and glitches, but they also are splitting survival and story mode into 2 game which is probably quite a hard thing to do without breaking something or completely deleting our saves. Not to mention that they're working on the last ep of story mode too. Literally they can't post dev diary every x amount of times otherwise HL will never finish their current work, and for us it means no updates. Also Raphael Van Lierop tweeted that a dev diary will be released at the end of sept.
  15. It could be an option for the vest and ear wraps. But crampons replacing socks? What about the beatiful mukluks or the handcrafted deerskin boots? Do you really wanna have some holes in your boots, letting all that cold and snow straight on your foots that will causing a nasty double frostbite? At least make a second foot slot available only for crampons.
  16. The accessory system is probably the only thing that confuses me in tld, i mean i don't get it why i can't wear all current accessories together. Precisely, there are 4 accessories but you can wear only 2, even if none of these occupy the same body part. HL made this for balancing purposes i guess, but why only one of the 2 equipped accessories take damage during your adventure? (Such wolf struggles, blizzards, ...) Yes, the one on the right (if i remember correctly) takes weather and physical damage, while the other just takes that occasional decay damage. The point is, wearing all 4 accessories at the same time is quite balanced enough thanks to their stats. Wearing the vest, satchel, ear wraps and crampons give you additional +1C° warmth, +0.5°C windproofness and 54% protection, at the cost of -45% stamina and weighting 5.25 kg, plus all of these accessories would take damage at the same time. So i guess it is fairly balanced if we would be able to wear all 4, but HL may had other reasons to allows us to wear only 2. (This suggestion was haunting me for the past summer and i wanted to get it out of my chest. So im sorry if i stole someone else idea/suggestion since i didn't check).
  17. We still got a mouth and teeths, may not be the most efficient way of doing these tasks but i guess is the only option at this point?
  18. If i remember correnctly, someone was talking about HL switching to unreal engine 5 but take this as a pinch of salt. Looks awesome and would make TLD into a different yet beautiful game, but please have mercy on my +8 year old pc.
  19. Althought ingame equipped clothing weights 75% of its weight. But after some thinking, i guess they made it like that for balancing. I mean, if they would change the equipped clothing weight to 25% or even delete it completely clothing like ballistic vest or ski boots would be far more useable. Yeah stamina reduction is annoying but honestly in the late game will barely affect you as sprinting won't be that useful IF you're armed.
  20. Speaking about weight management, one thing that annoys me is the weight of the equipped clothes. Yes i know that bulky clothes do slow you down, but by taking up some space in your backpack is kinda stupid.
  21. Same, especially if i start in it. This is why im asking others, they're far more experienced in surviving this monster hidden in the beauty region.
  22. Recently i watched one of Atheenon's vid of YT cuz i got bored and at some point someone in the chat said he or she found climbing socks somewhere in HRV while playing a custom game with interloper loot. Atheenon comfirmed that you can, infact, find climbing socks in HRV even in interloper, althought he said they're very rare. So, has anyone ever found them in interloper? Cuz this is kinda interesting finding high tier clothing in interloper (except combat pants).
  23. Lately i've been thinking about somekind of special feats that would offer something else rathen just a buff. Hmm, what about a feat that would introduce a new mechanic? Expert Meteorologist, which would be unlocked after surviving 30 days only outside (by only outside i mean spending 30 days in the wild without a roof and walls around you, this means you won't gain any progress if you stay in a cave.) Once you unlock it, it basically grants the ability to ''check the weather'' (the button for it would be found in the radial menu, either campcraft or navigation). Basically the survivor will survey the weather (it's like surveying with charcoal but 50% faster) and it will show you the results: - Shows you the current weather condition (obviously) and gives an estimated chance of weather changing in different weather condition. - Gives you an estimated duration of the current weather (Not always accurate.) - However in certain circumstances, both the possibilities of weather change and it's duration can't be estimated for obvious reasons. Here are some examples: Example 1: Currently it's clear, it will last for 3 hours Possibility of Blizzard: Minimal Possibility of Fog: Medium Possibility of Snowfall: High Example 2: Currently it's snowing with some fog, it could last up to 4 hours Possibility of Blizzard: Extreme Possibility of Clear Skies: Low Example 3: Currently it's foggy, i can't estimate it's duration. Possibility of clear skies: Unknown. Possibility of Blizzerd: Low-ish And so on, i think you get the idea. Lastly i wanted to remake my lucky trait to be more ''realistic''. It would be unlocked after surviving 100 days and basically it grants a 10% increased luck in general. So not only you have higher chances of finding mukluks in a closet, but also being blessed and having a wolf running away than hunting you down.
  24. Anything that would change the way of treating affliction in a more realistic yet dangerous, im in. The vanilla one is just plain simple, some are cured instantly while others require some time to heal, but it isn't really debilitating. The only affliction that really impacts and ,sometime, puts your sandbox into a risk of losing it is broken ribs. I kind of wish HL would take an exaple of treating your wounds from project zomboid.
