Agreed. I would love the spear to be included. Perhaps that will be attainable by the release of episode 5.

I’m betting the ballistic vest has a few reasoning points to it. 1. It’s likely to find at a prison so it’s realistic. 2. It’s useful, especially to new players, with the sheer number of Wolf encounters in the region. 3. Now you can get your hands on those wolves a few times for some H2H 4. It’s probably ridiculously heavy, just like in real life. Thus forcing players to be strategic in their weight management. 5. There are ALOT of players I’ve seen comments from on this forum that won’t even play certain levels because they’re”too hard” and they give up. HTL has to make the game playable for all levels. Or they lose an audience base. It’s balance for interlopers and for pigeons…. Just my opinion though, I can’t download the update until tomorrow 🥲😢

I would like to see some firefighting gear/apparel in an update. I would assume there are fire stations on Great Bear, and the tools are relevant/as is the value of turnout gear. And yes, bring on the chain mail helmet! It can be found at Creepy Uncle Larry’s cabin in CH.

There’s so many people complaining about the difficulty level already, they might be scared of scaring players off… apparently the wolves are too big a problem for some people???

I’ve eaten predator meat many times throughout gameplay there isn’t a general rule, so much as watch your risk bar and make sure you don’t hit 100%.

Didn’t we just get an update? I’m sure the action has a probability setting like rolling the dice. However, I know the devs have made things harder in each update. I.e. wolves used to stay out of fishing huts, now they don’t. Perhaps the latest update has increased the probability of food poisoning.

Define “fear”? I’ve noticed that the change in the soundtrack is what makes it worse for me. So I mute the audio and carry on with the encounter….

So I don’t understand a whole lot about any of the computer lingo like hotfix, 1.64325, etc. Etc. but what I do know is, I LOVE this game! Thanks for the introduction of the language filter as well; your efforts have me in for the long dark… err, the long haul… 😅😂

I’d like to see Will stop drinking, and for he and Astrid to walk in to the new world together and start a new family. Their child’s death/illness broke them. But they are both survivors who still love each other. There will likely be a connection with father Thomas and the crash survivors. Grey Mother will need to be checked on, though I believe she likely dies. Grey Mother received her closure when Will delivered the necklace to her daughters grave site… She could fade into the long dark in peace. Methuselah is clearly a representation of a spirit being, he watches over Will and is impressed when he exercised mercy with Hobbs, but he warned him that he would have to be strong to survive the world. They are living in the new ice age now, they will have to remember the skills of their ancestors. The prison inmates will be hunted down by the forest… or Molly… I believe Molly’s abusing husband was one of the escaped convicts. Perhaps the forest accepts Will and Astrid in the end and is no longer hostile. Fade to black. Fade into the long dark.

Have you been to the sitting dead guy in the cave at the front of echo ravine? Specifically during the Aurora and been able to view his computer screen?

@piddy3825 @randomplayer he used to be an adventure like you, until he took an arrow to the knee. Ona side note: Am I playing on the wrong device, I’ve never seen anything like that and didn’t know it was even possible to do that??? Is this a PC thing?
