Makeup (if needed), costumes, and props are all encouraged. While we certainly welcome all Mackenzies and Astrids, don’t be afraid to branch out! Step 2 - Reply to this thread with at least 2 photos or a video of your best original cosplay from The Long Dark. Step 3 - Please identify your submission category and the character you have chosen, if applicable. We also ask that you include a small paragraph that summarizes your cosplay experience. This could be a description, a creative story or poem, an anecdote from the game, or a meaningful quote. Entries will be judged based on creativity, attention to detail, accuracy, and enthusiasm! A Few Ground Rules: Please follow all regular Forum Rules & Guidelines. Please be respectful of other entries and participants. Rude comments will be deleted and may result in disqualification from the contest. All entries must be your own original work. If more than one person is present in your photos (e.g. group shots), please indicate which character is yours. If you have shared cosplay pictures before, you are welcome to submit them again to this thread for consideration as part of the contest! For safety reasons, you are welcome to blur your face or other features that could be used to identify you. Choosing to remove identifying information will not impact your submission. Anyone can try any character/cosplay. All genders are welcome, as are all respectful forms of gender expression. Maximum two entries per person. Enjoy! While we do try to be proactive instead of reactive, we have responded to a few posts (here, on social media, and on Steam) indicating that we are currently working on an update to address some in-game issues/bugs. This is scheduled for release in the next week or two if all goes well. We are also still working on the DLC release. We understand the value of Dev Diaries, though we tend to err on the side of being overly cautious as projects move forward to ensure that we are releasing accurate information. The last thing we want to do is disappoint anyone. That being said, we are working on a list of Known Issues, which will be updated on an ongoing basis to help our community stay informed about in-game concerns. We will also likely have more regular Dev Diary submissions as the DLC content moves forward, and we will continue to address concerns as they arise. We appreciate everyone's patience, and we hope to have more news very soon.

That is part of the delay -- that and ensuring that we address bugs before we release the Update. We know it can take a while, and we really do appreciate your patience. We are hoping to have an update very soon, and we will share more information as soon as we can.

We're doing well, thank you for asking. The last couple of years have been challenging for everyone, but we are . Hinterland has moved to a remote-first work model (you can read more about Hinterland's culture at the bottom of this page). We have also consistently prioritized health and safety, and we continue to take a compassionate approach to our work culture. We think this has helped enormously, even as we balance projects and navigate the many challenges our world faces. We recognize how much trust our community puts in us, and we take that very seriously. All while having a pretty great time making this game we all love. Thank you for your post. Rest assured, we're working hard, and staying as safe as possible.
