Umm.... did I read this right?!!! Wow.
I'm a woman. I used to front squat far more per kg of body weight in comparison to most of the men in my gym.
And what's better? A man who can carry 45kg for an hour or a woman who can carry 30kg for three hours?
Swings and roundabouts.
And I'm very tempted to swing a heavy hammer like I used to swing a heavy kettlebell. Heavy hammers are pretty darn good against...
Well. Nuff said.
Yes I should have clarified my fingers were crossed for survival only. But I know a lot of people really enjoy story mode and will miss it when it's finished.
@jeffpeng
Well there's my learning for today! Thank you. It's good to know there's actually a reason for it, I'll be less grumpy about it now.
Oh those asynchronous data exchange protocols do it for me too. Seriously, I have no idea what you just said ๐
Lol, no mate. Obviously it's where the party's at ๐ It was only the other day for me, but had been a long time. If I bump into you there I'll have a brew waiting Or a Summit Soda. Whatever floats your boat.
Welcome welcome! You are now officially a gamer ๐
I can completely see how TLD will draw in someone who hasn't played. It offers something for everyone; from the Lovely Lunatic Lopers to the Peaceful Pilgrims and everyone in between. The more you play the more you will fall in love with its breathtaking beauty, it still takes my breath away after 8 years.
If the survivor monologue gets on your nerves take a look at my "For you, survivor monologue on or off?" thread. That will offer you a way to turn it down so you don't miss out on your feats (perks/badges) as you are just starting out.
Have fun! And if you need help just ask. We'll do our best ๐
This has happened to me quite a few times. Fortunately I've always been able to get it to stop misbehaving by quitting and resuming my save. I haven't needed to close the game entirely yet. Always takes me to Milton Post Office ๐คทโโ๏ธ I'm glad you didn't get a game breaker mate.
And welcome to the mad house ๐
Bless you Jeff ๐งก It's been around for literally 90% of my life so I'm kinda used to it. But it does have its major downsides for sure. However I'm happy watching other people do some of the stuff I can't or won't so it's all good ๐
And their Tech Gremlin minions. Those wee buggers, it doesn't matter if you feed them after midnight or not. Always love throwing a spanner in your day.
I have no doubt it does Hozz. I would like to experience it, I used to really dislike PV but love the wide open spaces and nooks and crannies now. Except the bears.
The issue I have with HRV is I have PTSD and if I can't easily locate an exit or way out of somewhere it, umm, it's not pretty. It's why I have to turn wolves down, limit the jumpscares. I figure the game should be therapeutic not a trial by fire.
It is a shame, for sure. I would like to spend a decent amount of time in HRV to work out if I would still rather eat my arm than be there, but it ain't gonna happen. I shall just watch from the sidelines ๐
Ain't that always the way DZ? If only the paid work had been as enjoyable as the my artwork. Hey ho. What'cha gonna do ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Oh that's interesting. Yes do give me a shout if anything else turns up. Thanks for bearing me in mind.
Coastal Highway Townsite
I always refer to it as:
"Lupine Lunatic Asylum"
or, for short
"Lupine Lunacy"
Not my favourite place, you can probably tell!
Raven Falls Bridge
For obvious reasons, this I call
"The Dead Drop"
Ummm.... each to their own! ๐ณ I'd rather throw myself off Raven Bridge personally but then again I'm not good in claustrophobic environments. Anyone who gets a handle on HRV gets props from me.
Thank you for taking the time to read it Matt. Ash was a nice surprise to me. I still get panicky there but nowhere near as bad, and it certainly doesn't prevent me making the most of the offerings now. @Leeanda is a good person to ask for directions in Ash if you need them, I end up getting you completely lost! ๐
I'm in complete agreement with you Odiz. I knew when my "Sat Nav Rage" was reaching boiling point with the game (and I'd properly paid attention to the Custom Settings) it was time to turn it off. What a wonderful revelation it has been!
