  1. That's gotta be somewhere in Coastal highway, I just don't know where.
  2. I am a lore junkie, I love all mysteries, cryptids, etc. I think it's about time we dedicate a forum just to the lore of TLD. All things are welcome here, creepypastas, storylines, and theories. Have at it, and enjoy.
  3. I think Mystery Lake is the best region to base in the whole game, You're close to FM, PV, MT, CH, and BI. Tons of wildlife, easy to life in, easy layout, ice fishing, birch bark, etc. It's just a survivors haven.
  4. It's missing a second floor as well.
  5. Software limitations, the PS4, and Xbox One are both slightly underpowered for the game. They both have pretty cheap processors, which means slow loading times. There's nothing Hinterland can 'fix', it's just the system. With the release of the new generations of consoles, load times should be cut in half.
  6. That's actually pretty cool, do you think you could screenshot one of them?
  7. I like the idea of adding more colors, and more vegetation to the landscape. But when it comes to the painting, i'm not really understanding. Do you think you could explain more? Sounds interesting.
  8. SO as I was listening to some music, I thought about Wintermute, and how there's no comedy. While I think that Wintermute should not turn into a comedy, I think it would be really awesome if they added a montage to the final episode of Wintermute, as Will, and Astrid prepare to do some huge braving task. THe song playing in the backround would be Greater Than/Less than by Saliva, and it would have some breaks where we see Will rocking out! Let's be real, it will never happen. But I can hope... 😂😂
  9. SO I'm sure we all know about Among Us, and how that game just BLEWWWW up. People were looking for a fun party/multiplayer game to play with friends. Now that the hype for that game has slowly faded off, we now see games like Rust, and Raft, which in ways are similar to TLD being extremely popular again. Think about this, Rust before all these streamers, and fans of these streamers started playing the game was a game that I can feel relate to TLD. A lot of people knew about rust, but the game has a small, and loyal fanbase that absolutely loved the game, (much like TLD). It had a small player base because of how the gameplay worked, (again, like TLD). But now with Covid, and all that people are just needing a game where they can chill out, and socialize/interact with each other in a fun way. I think that Hinterland should look at these things, and try to make their game really blow up again, (like it did when it first came out) or make it appeal to more people. Now, of course this would mean adding multiplayer, or some kind of way to play with friends, which I don't think will ever happen. Now what I don't want, is for Hinterland to commercialize their game and make it a huge brand, (Sort of like... Fortnite I guess). I just think that now, how games that people would never of thought to become mainstream, become mainstream, I think TLD, and Hinterland as a whole has a ton of money they make right now, and replenish the fanbase that has unfortunately, been slowly diminishing overtime. This is just my idea, and I don't think that anything will come of it. I just really want to watch this game be successful, and we don't really know how the devs feel about the game right now. They've worked so hard, for what I feel like is a small, or not enough payoff. I just want to take this time to thank the devs, for all the work they do to keep us invested in this amazing game. Kudos.
  10. I'm going to guess you're in Stalker, I know that in my run now I spawned in Broken Railroad, and caught an extremely lucky break with a ton of great clothing at the Hunters Lodge, and the Maintenance Shed. I then of course went to The Muskeg, straight to the Spence Homestead. More clothing, and a rifle. A ton of food, and firewood too. It was one of the best starts you could EVER get. Now on day 80ish, and have supplies to last hundreds of days. Still have to go to Milton, HRV, Coastal Highway, and Decolation Point.
  11. With Coastal Highway, Desolation Point, and Bleak Inlet, I think there are enough regions on the coast right now. Something that I think would be very interesting is a region that has a more urban feel. Put it like this, I think Great Bear has one small, or decent sized city. This could be Perseverance Mills, or some other place. While I'm not saying skyscrapers, I'd really like to see some bigger two story buildings. The issue is, that really changes the feel of the game, and my fear is that it would be hard to incorporate the survival, and wildlife aspects of the game into a city like area. For me, I want a region similar to Mystery Lake, with a few differences. A flat, heavily forested area with sections of clear cuts from unfortunate loggers, this region is set above the Northeast part of Pleasant Valley. While the region is dominated by it's forest, if you look hard enough you'll find secrets. (a few bunkers, and a hidden hunters shack, with two new items,) Some kind of upgraded hunting knife, that lasts longer, and cuts meat faster than the regular hunting knife, and then a sled, which you can use to carry items around the game world with no extra weight added to your pack, (you cannot spring, or climb ropes while you are using it,) Along with these things there would be logging roads, a broken down logging truck, a logging camp, and a few sheds, and outbuildings. That's just one of many idea I have, I know that it doesn't make the most sense, and in all will never happen, but I think it would be cool.
  12. I don't think it is DP, because of the landscape behind it.
  13. With the upcoming episode 4 of Wintermute, I think it is likely a new region will not be added to the game, due to Ash Canyon just being added about a month go. So, that means we will probably see a new region late this year. With the theme of new game additions for each region, (Rope climbing with TW, ammo crafting with BI, rope bridges with AC, and a forge with DP, etc). What do you guys think the next region will bring us? What could it look like? I'd like to hear your guys thoughts.
  14. (All the ones I know) One spawns in Ash Canyon, near one of the rope climbs to the mine. One spawns in the lower region of Bleak Inlet, near the washed out trailer. One spawns somewhere in Timberwolf Mountain (No clue where) Thats all I know lol.
  15. Laptops are heating chambers, no airflow=bad performance
  16. Trapper's Homestead is my home. Although I do agree the Camp Office is a more practical home, the Trapper's Homestead just feels different. Small, secluded, abundant wildlife, pretty interior. I just love it,
  17. On my end the video isn’t working, let me know if it isn’t working for you guys, and I’ll try to fix it.
  18. Credit goes to ShatteredCiv, on YouTube. He gave me permission to post this. We can see our old pal Mackenzie pulling off an act of extreme strength, and agility. IMG_1471.MOV
  19. Ok, than I suggest emailing Hinterland about the issue. Sorry I couldn't help.
  20. I believe that may be motion blur, you should be able to turn it off in the settings somewhere.
  21. 不幸的是,您不能做到,這是一個相當愚蠢的遊戲機制。抱歉任何語法問題,因為我不是中文. 我認為齒輪可能在他機艙的入口處?如果沒有,那麼我為您丟失裝備感到抱歉。
  22. I hail from both Maine, and New Hampshire.
  23. It all depends. Video games on its own do not cause depression, it's the amount of time they take up that does. Throughout most of 2020, I was playing over 10-15 hours every day, and I really was not happy with myself. It got to the point where I was unable to complete simple tasks, and I was disappointing my parents. If video games become more important to you than doing chores, running errands, doing worthwhile things, etc. Than yeah, they are a problem. What I think parents shouldn't do (or if you're an adult) Is not completely take away video games, (treat them second hand). Treat it like your treat to yourself after working hard all day. I still play a lot, in the grand scheme of things. But I'm playing less than half of what I used, and I only at max play 2 hours in a row. My advice for anyone that feels like video games are making them 'depressed' is limit it. Take breaks, do hard work, etc. What I was not getting from playing video games was the sense of completing something worthwhile, and something that I thought mattered. When it comes to young people, such as I becoming depressed over video games, it's not the video games fault, it's the person. You control how you spend your time, and how video games affect your life. I hope this makes sense.
