  1. So I started my latest run just when Frontier Comforts was released, and since then, I haven't had "real" fog at all, not once. I mean, there has been fog, but it's not the actual opaque white wall it used to be, it's just a grey sky in the distance (and I'm unable to map, for ex). Similarly, glimmer fog is only the "electric current" on the snow. Anyone else experiencing the same thing? I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere here, sorry if I missed it. That said, don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining... What makes you hate HRV so much? The region I like the least is AC... those rope bridges, etc.
  2. I think it doesn't have to be a horror game, at least I specifically like to play pilgrim for that reason. But then it's all about death, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  3. Not that it matters, but I think the reward for completing the tale (if there is such one thing) is the holster, not the technical balaclava...
  4. Really looking forward to that!
  5. Good suggestions there! And I was also thinking that something with cat tails would be nice, since it seems that the idea is to get us to use items / ingredients that we may not have used much otherwise.
  6. You can set up in PV and commute between the farmstead and pensive pond...
  7. I also had the black screen and I had to use "disable post process" instead of the force gl one, but now it's working, and it's working better than ever, by a long shot!
  8. Yup, it indeed sounds like what happened to me. People, don't spend the night in planes / helicopters. They're deadly!
  9. Would anyone be able to provide a screenshot of one of those?
  10. Hmm sometimes I shoot, and they turn very slowly towards me. Is that a prelude to charging? I usually have time to shoot again, after which they run away.
  11. That's what I'm saying, yes. I use the rifle for bears, and when I don't get an instant kill (ie most shots) they run away and I need to track them. I slept in the plane, selecting the basic sleeping bag from the radial, and putting in 12 hours, which I routinely do (there really wasn't anything uncommon to my regular game experience about the circumstances I was in).
  12. Except for that one time a moose charged at me, I've never been attacked by an animal.
  13. Indeed, but not a lot, I don't think. Nothing near what this was.
  14. Yeah, exactly. Usually the first meter to get to zero (in my experience) is thirst, and if that's been empty for a bit of time before I wake up, then my overall health is down some (but never much). I play quite conservatively, and always have food / drinks on hand, and always make sure hunger and thirst are at least half full before I sleep. I like me a full night's sleep, but still.
  15. I haven't tried, no (tbh, I'm feeling like right now is the perfect time to take a break from the game). The only thing I could possibly reproduce, I think, is just sleeping in that particular crashed plane.
  16. It just said I faded into the long dark, nothing else. "though the fatigue meter was at about half way" This remind me... the fatigue meter was "empty" right when I died, but then it started filling up clockwise, until it reached the point you see in the screenshot. I have no idea what that means. "It could be the game glitched and locked your fatigue meter on exhausted and (because of the glitch) accelerated the condition loss. The affliction and the red fatigue meter seem to be the only reason why you would lose all you condition and die." That's what I'm thinking right now. It is extremely strange that the "resting" icon just stayed on the whole time, into my stats, as it is in the screenshot. I've only had broken ribs once, and it wasn't on this run.
  17. Does it tell you anywhere, other than right when you die? Because here I didn't get a cause of death at that moment.
  18. They weren't... I mean, "fatigue" was very low, but that's why I went to sleep. The others, while not full, definitely weren't.
  19. So, uuhhhh.... I just died, and I don't know why. I just "faded into the long dark". I was painfully trying to get to the crashed plane in ML, was almost at the cache, judging from the frantic beeping, then it stopped, because morning aurora cut-off. I decided to sleep it off in the plane, then there was a long dark screen, then this: I don't know what to make of it. Is this a bug, or did I miss something?
  20. @Leeanda and I play pilgrim, so I think we mostly had in mind the ice cracks situation which is trickier than in other coastal regions, but indeed, that's something else to worry about for those who play other levels!
  21. I was thinking the same thing yesterday, unfortunately BI isn't a very good spot for "stress-free" beach combing...
  22. I, like many others in this thread, appreciate that you make a point of taking care of the people working at HL, appreciate the quality over quantity, as well as the honesty and realistic self-assessment. Looking forward to the next parts, whenever they become available.
