Reminds me of when I killed a wolf in BK recently. The carcass was there by the gate to the guard tower, but the audio for the wolf snarling continued anytime I was near the carcass for a few days while I was still hanging around. Had to leave the prison to reset the audio.
@ManicManiac
oh c’mon now, what better way to spend your time researching how to harvest animals than with your carnivore friend? After all, we are carnivores too…
and I never said that the same mechanic can’t be reset each Aurora…. Don’t sleep too long next to your furry friends…
and the mechanic could be removed from interloper Since the description for that *particular * setting states “you are not part of natures plan”…

Perhaps it could be an achievement like in episode 1 of Wintermute? You have to find the teddy bear first, then deposit it at a specific gravesite? Potentially, there could be a buried capsule with a “prize”, but can only be found during an aurora. Or during the glimmer fog if the gravesite is in FA. Teddy will be found in a mine in the upcoming mine region…
I know a variation of this has been floated before but…..
With the inclusion of the cougar it seems it could be expanded.
Taming wolves with rabbit meat.
Taming Cougar with ptarmigan meat.
Taming deer with acorns.
No moose taming 🤣
It would be a useful addition with the frontier cooking to have a way to distill and ferment a mash. (Which there are plenty of farms and no apples???)
Not so much for the alcohol, but for fermenting wine into vinegar then being able to can and preserve.
Specifically for the long game I imagine.
We also have potatoes now, which can be fermented into vodka, or white vinegar.
This would be a LONG process, over several days, into a month or more in game. Making the mash would be not too long, but fermentation would take a bit.
after that though…. vinegar and salt and water plus…. Pickled cattail stalks? Pickled Burdock root? More?
Agreed.
recycled can, flour (at least two bags), water, cloth (in place of cheese cloth).
But the flour is limited….. If barnyard grass was implemented, the heads of grain from that could be dried and milled (heavy hammer). Ground acorns could be added to the flour mixture as well, give a small boost and added flavor.
Whelp I will be making another run through with a couple of those locations. I may not have REALLY looked behind the trees.
always worth a second go around.
thanks!!!
I just started a new save after the update as well, and it did fix the issues i've had with finding the new recipes. However, NO Curator's rifle. I've scoured the internet for all current known spawn locations, and I searched those through with no luck. So if anyone here knows of some rare outside the norm spawn locales for that rifle.... Please forward those my way!
