  1. nice dodge at 1:20! hahahahahahahahah
  2. Using storm lanterns indoors when there is a sunny day and lot of windows, i call it a "band-aid solution" I think it's not so hard just to adjust the lighting values on the engine. I step aside when the feature is intended, as places without windows or light sources, or underground environments. Damn, there are caves and mines that are better illuminated than some windowed rooms at night (Farm's, bedroom in PV for example).
  3. It would give some utility for those metal buckets ^^
  4. I have no problems with the overall map or level design of PV. It has many interesting spots. The thing that really makes me crazy is the daylight blizzard/clearsky night pattern repeatedly, day after day. It's too forced to me.
  5. You can't step over a half meter obstacle, and you want to climb over a security fence. good luck
  6. I definitely HATE Unpleasant Valley. It's not my least favorite. It's out of the list =D The only area in which i still tolerate on it is the south/east section, most precisely the triangle between the passages for other areas. Maybe it's just me, but every time i try to stay long periods inside PV, there is a weather pattern that is annoying as hell: 1 day partially clear, 4 or 5 days of blizzards, and these occurs only on daytime (and lasts the whole day), while the night is clear sky. Rinse and repeat, with 1 clear day and another daily blizzard week. Maybe it's a pattern to force the player to work at night, and if it's true, is an awful thing.
  7. When u se a chair out of place, and u think in turning it into reclaimed wood, instead put it right
  8. On my opinion, the autosave function is a good thing as it is now. BUT i understand your point. The mobility in this game looks unfinished sometimes: some small areas where u cant step over, while others u can absurdly freely walk over (huge logs on Log Sort, Costal Highway), or tiny ledges and slopes that are simply one-way movement. And the Sprains system itself seems too alien for my comprehension (i got lot more sprains being careful and using Crampons than doing not)
  9. I linked an image above that shows that feeling precisely. GizmoDuck vibes
  10. I never thought that way. The point when wolves are no more a threat, but only a potential lunch. Anyways i think that wolf meat is an "inferior" hunting meat, due the parasite risk and high thirst drain, then no problem.
  11. Totally agree. Hunting could be a journey itself (except for rabbits), and it would be more rewarding, with a bunch of meat. Also, i think the blood scent radius of the wolves should be increased a bit.
  12. That is how i feel when i play on rough terrain
  13. Yes for it, but i would suggest a reduction to 40% or even 30% instead. The sprint, as i see, represents the maximum effort when running, and takes advantage on the synergy between both legs (1+1>2). If one is disabled, the synergy is gone. I don't know if i'm clear enough.
  14. Still amazes me that we can eat 2kilos of meat at once, plus 660ml of water, and there's room for more, even after months or years of rationing and stomach reduction 2 k i l o s o f m e a t
  15. My thoughts about it: Range - I think the range being based on the survivor's skill is a game design decision based on balance, progression etc. That is the only thing that explains it to me. Weapon skill should be the ability to control aim, sustain recoil, and related tasks (reloading fast, cleaning, etc), and not enhance the projectile's thrust. Unless that it's a VERY abstract way to show one's ability to hunt progressively, and so i think that approach is totally plausible. Rifle attached - If there was only ONE SINGLE rifle spawn in game (and possibly a single revolver too), the things would become intersting There would be a lot more challenge until they were found, since both weapons adds much power to hunting and wolf enconters. Personally, i'd love this was implemented in some game mode, standard or custom. Sights, Bayonets and other accessories - Well, i'm not big fan of the idea, because i don't see the game turned to military aspect so much (although we have some military clothings and boots). From my understanding, these are tools for war use, not for hunting. Please, forgive me. I'm not expert in hunting with weapons.
  16. @UTC-10 Exactly. Would not be a a game mechanic properly. About using objects (stones, cans, cattail things etc) to mark the visited ones, well... it's interesting, although i'm not a fan of such "band-aid" solutions.
  17. Would be very nice if we could know what cairns we already visited. I can't count how many times i change my route and click them again (and not even know it) because i can't know if i did it on the current gameplay/save or not. Maybe if the red flag was removed when i first click them, it could be resolved.
  18. Sorry for my dumbness. What is a travois? Google translator didnt work on it ^^
  19. An example of ridiculous DLC use is selling character (and even special moves!) on fighting games. It means that the content was already made on product launch, and is not fully released only for shamelessly profit.
  20. And if you are reading/sewing and your Rest bar reaches zero, it means you napped, and lose task's progress and awake a random hours later, totally disoriented hahaha
  21. My problems with FPS were greatly resolved when i disabled SSAO. I was even able to maximize other graphic options after that. I use GTX 750, CPU Xeon X99 2620, 16gb ram. Not a big rig, but yet i got my problems solved.
  22. I'll remember that next time i'll eat rotten meat hahaha Sushi is not an option; 1 month old kebab is okay ;D
  23. I haven't seen it anywhere. The text only says "immune to parasites and food poisoning". I should have imagined that, really. Thanks for explaining.
  24. It just happened to me, i got food poisoning despite the Cooking 5 advantage. I grabbed 2 fishes, and i was on a hurry, so didn't want to cook the fishes, and eat them raw. Both gave me the food poisoning warning. So, i wonder if it's a problem with my savegame, or it's an intended feature. Anyone else experienced that? (using google translator)
  25. I thought that armor (Protection) was cumulative, but actually only the outer layer is taken. That is counterintuitive for me, because i think no matter which layer is stronger, a piercing or tearing object should trespass both before hit the skin. As i see, the outer layer clothing, if more resistant, would protect the inner layer (and itself) from being ripped, but both would protect the user.
