  1. this morning the first snow came here in finland, and i almost slipped on The icy Road, and then I tought it would be a nice mechanic to TLD that you could slip while moving on ice just like you do on steep hills, except it often happends very unexpectedly and The damages can be worse. For example concussion If you hit your head or some other limb on The hard ice. The chance of slipping depends on how fast are you moving. This gives us a whole new contexts of having friction on your shoes. The More friction they have, the most likely you are not going to slip. For example some leather shoes have very little friction and you are very save with some boots like The insulated boots. The amount of friction is different on different shoes. You could add more of it on your shoes by using a sharpening Stone, or sandpaper, or a cheese grater, or by making more grooves on your shoes or maybe there is a whole new tool for that (ok maybe The cheese grater idea was a bit cheesy). This could also prevent slipping on steep hills. Now i guess the smoothnes of The ice depends on the weather, like If there has been a big blizzard and theres a lot of snow and the ice has made a Cracked and rough top layer. Or If its just very cold, the ice might Be very smooth or something, i don't know how the temperature effects ice, but im pretty sure it does somehow. This could Be a very annoying mechanic for sure, but it would make the game harder, and what mechanic that makes the game harder isnt fun!
  2. Oh yes there are wolves and Even beats. I ran straight to a bear without Even noticing what was happening. Luckily i got away. But you should Be aware of The other threats. Thats also The reason why are there guns in this gamemode.
  3. You keep always an eye out on The enivorement and have a steady triggerfinger
  4. I don't think the darkwalker bonus badge is worth the effort, because it makes you more fatigued at daytime. Youre supposed to do stuff ar day because its bright and its easier to do things, and at night youre supposed to sleep, and the more you sleep during that night, the better. So it basically is'nt practical as you don't get to sleep as much and skip the night and do less stuff at day. This is just my opinion on "should you use it." Don't get me wrong, I loved the darkwalker event and I want to thank the dews for everything. Me personally I got all the badges in about four runs and I had a LOT of fun... and got scared lots of times.
  5. I was about to leave pleasant valley when a beat suprised me. Luckily i ran past it and got away. SO BE AWARE! And you have probably already come across a wolf of you have been playing this event for at least a day of in-game time. So even of you can not defend yoursel from the darwalker with firearms, you should still keep a gun on you!
  6. Now, I’m fine with opening Locked doors with a lockpick that needs skill. It would bring some new challenge to the game, but then theres the opinion to just crank that thing open with stenght. but what I’m more interested in, is the mechanic of unlocking small unaccessable containers that arent very capible of being opened with force. This mechanic is’nt exactly necessary for the game, and I would be all fine without it, I’m just opening this concept up.
  7. Now, I understand why hinterland isnt probably going to add bear traps, but maybe having it more as a threat to the player instead of having it as a useful tool will balance it a little bit. It would Be a good idea of finding already deployed bear traps from the wilderness. Just left there by a hunter, for an animal to walk on, but may aswell give you a hidious and unexpected side effect to an unlucky step The traps are hidden well under the layers of snow, hard to notice, but still exposed to The player eye enough, to Be seen. And if you keep your eyes open and don't step on one, you can disarm the trap and the sharp suprise is now for something Else than you. Also they should be pretty weak and may be broken down with a small amount of uses, as they have Been rusting under The snow. And also they can't Be repaired
  8. Yeah, this would Be an amazing touch to the game. But i would like More to have this as a decorative mechanism, for exsample i have Been waiting for way too long, to Be able to put my rifle on a shelf where they can Be found like. And making your own furniture and interracting with them, would be on the next level. I dont take this as a very important or necessary mechanic. But damn it would Be fun.
  9. yep i went to check the safe at hibernia processing for another time and found one there, so it seems to be a guaranteed location. Also I found two bottles from just normal milton houses.
  10. i have found so far one from the hunting lodge at broken railroad, one from the camping office at mystery lake, one from the safe at Hibernia processing at desolation point and three across pleasant valley.
  11. I did not know that eighter But thanks ya'll for making us know that. Also I do the same, but I usually cant end up lighter than about 20-25 as I "might nead" many tools.
  12. I think that clothes should weight less while you're wearing them. I know that you're still physicly carrying them, but I get pretty often frustrated about I have too much stuff and try desparetly to drop something that I don't need just to see that over half of my carryweight is overtaken by My clothes. Atleast change the weight of shoes, you're physicly standing on them... Kinda. I just think this would be a nice thing to get changed. Like reduce the weight atleast a little bit while wearing a piece of wear.
  13. Yeah, I agree with you and i have talked about this recently. I really think that there should be a whole new slot where you can equip just a scarf or other neck ackessory, or maybe seperate the two hat slots into one headwear slot and one neckwear slot. This is my opinion about how it should be done.
  14. I couldn't agree More with maniacmaniac. I don't think this idea makes any sense with the story of the game.
  15. Also we should wiew The situtation from a little bit more realistic wiew, about what would people have left in their homes If such world wide catashtrophe happends.

    Radiator

As Aurora being an important Part of The game, It should have some more abitities. Such as radiators, as them being found from buildings and houses and they use electricity, then why not make them work when there is electricity. When set on during aurora, they could make warmth and you could dry your wet clothes on them. But it could also burn clothes if kept on them for too long. This is just my suggestion, that I think would Be a logical and nice feature in the game.
  17. That's a great idea! It would fit pretty well with The game without ruining its style. A lighter would be a very useful and cool addition. It's a yes from me!

    Foxes?

That's pretty understandable and a fair point.
  19. That's actually a pretty good idea. It would really make sense If your mental health lowers its quality, being in such an enivorement. I'd say yes to this idea.

    Foxes?

I think a new animal would fit in The game. Like a fox, hard to catch, fast, doesn't have much meat, a warm light hide, some more nice enivorement to The game. Maybe not a very useful feature to the game, maybe this could be more of a way to get more warm clothes, than a new way of getting food. If there aren't any foxes in Canada, then I might just sound like an idiot😐

    CO-OP

This has Been discussed a lot in The past and I don't know why is It being brought to be discussed again. Co-op isn't going to be in the game with The current mechanics. Ofcourse everyone thinks that It would be fun and I think that the same way. But It has been refused by The dews so many Times (wich we all should understand) that we should all forget hoping for co-op on the future. We can still hope for an update like that and we should discuss it when (If) the dews decide to take co-op as in a future update.
  22. I'd bet this would a nightmare to code and Even then It would probably become buggy and hard to use as there are trees that you could just crash on. Ofcourse this would Be a cool and fun feature to the game and I personally like the idea of sleds and skis. But It would be a no from me, as there would be lots of technical issues.
  23. I'd bet this would a nightmare to code and Even then It would probably become buggy and hard to use as there are trees that you could just crash on.
  24. I originally didn't think this advancement as a small Life quality changing feature but more of a realisting improvement. Just like in "real Life" you can put a scarf on your neck, without caring how many hats you Have.
  25. I Have been kinda bothered about The fact that if your'e wearing two hats, you can't use a scarf, wich is quite unlogical. So I toutght that maybe there could be one or two slots for only face- and neckwear, seperately from The hat slots.
