  1. Some gentle tips from a dev, for anyone submitting bugs. It might help to include: - Operating system. - System stats if it's a performance issue. - Steps to reproduce the problem if you can. - Before and after situation (Ie, I had X, Y, Z badges before, then I did ABC and I gained badge D.)
  2. So there's now a 'foot accessory' slot?
  3. @ahmyin I absolutely love this story and the framed map! I've also enjoyed playing single-player games with someone else sitting shotgun! It's a fun way to turn a solo game into co-op. My husband and I do this with some of the Telltale games. When I was younger, my mom and I would play the very old Hugo's House Of Horrors games. You had to do a lot of typing so she would take the keyboard, and we'd try to solve the puzzles together. Good memories! <3
  4. @Grignard_TN & @ManicManiac... I must extend my sincere thanks for the recommendation of Subnautica, I bought it on sale last week and hooo boy is it ever fun. It feels like the spiritual sister to TLD with the added bonus of base construction. I am really loving it so far. @BlinkMoFried absolutely give Subnautica a try. It's hitting all the same feels as TLD ... it's almost an underwater clone. Caveat that the new player onboarding is pretty sparse in that game, you might need some new player tips/guides to get rolling. lol
  5. 100% restart now. I made this mistake, got all the way through Ep 3 on Pilgrim and it's stupidly easy.
  6. I started my first challenge ever with Whiteout this week. It's a ton of fun. You find a stupid amount of supplies everywhere, but getting a hatchet was the big difficulty for me. I really love having a Quest tab again since I finished Wintermute a while ago. I'm almost done the challenge and I think I'll be able to do it without leaving Coastal Highway. Bagging a bear really helped the food task item. XD
  7. Took me AGES, but finally got it. Whew that archery skill was a pain.
  8. Posted by Raphel on Twitter.
  9. Yes, you can get in there. Walk along the angled piece of floor on the right. I hope the latest update didn't introduce a bug there. But you should definitely be able to get in. I think there's also a door in there on the other end. All the bulkhead compartments are searchable too.
  10. I've got all the complainers beat.... I'm still waiting on the further Half-Life episodes that Valve promised us. LOL
  11. New maps for Survival is so great, I'd happily pay for expansions to the game that just provide more maps that don't even appear in the Story mode. Heck they could probably hire a 2nd team that just pumps out map-only expansion packs, as another revenue stream.
  12. Same. One of my sons (6 yr old) loves bunnies, bed full of bunny stuffies... I have to make VERY sure that he isn't watching me play over my shoulder! I still look away when the bunny is picked up.
  13. I dunno how you turned bad news into great news but you did! Adding it as a challenge we can play any time & with the ability to defeat it is SUPER awesome. Thank you. Learning the ropes of a new platform is a speed bump players will understand. Sorry that Nintendo seems to have a ton of hoops.
  14. Oh man, would have been much easier had I known this!
  15. I think I've been using the ward glyph wrong. I was putting it at entrances to things like caves, thinking it would stop it from entering & following me as I rushed through. But if the Darkwalker can pass through walls, then the ward glyph is only useful if I'm staying next to it. Ie to sleep or something.
  16. Is the map revealed or the compass visible in this game mode? In my first attempt I was too busy running & didn't even look at the map tab.
  17. Super scary and more fun than I expected! Made it an hour and half my first try. Very intense. Loved the atmosphere and the endless night. Struggled to find the Hushed River Valley green fire, got totally lost and trapped myself in this region. Whoops! I don't normally play TLD for this level of intensity and danger, but fun for Halloween none the less. Great job Hinterland! Observations: I ran like a damn fool most of the time. Probably shouldn't have done that. Carried way too much food around. The inability to stay in one zone means you'll keep finding more food. Lugging the rifle might have been a mistake. There are wolves, but very few. The dialog and scary music and sounds were perfect. Map knowledge was probably the main thing needed to do well in this event. I thought I know the maps... apparently not well enough. Endless night and dark interiors adds to the tension and scariness. I wish I could have seen it a bit and shot it. Happy Halloween tomorrow folks!
  18. Guys, you're having some kind of load issue here on the forums. And SQL user info is being revealed in your error pages. Been getting this here on the forums for the last week or so.
  19. Considering I fished for over a week and went from level 3-5 fishing without breaking a single line.... I'd say the cost in guts is minimal. Not only do fish not cost ammo to kill... they also don't need to be 'harvested' like an animal carcass does. So you save your knife or axe. You just don't get the calorie volume for the time spent. But in the end game when there's less to do, it makes for a good food source.
  20. Funny that you post about grinding fishing this week. I did so this week as well (finished last night) in Mystery Lake in pursuit of the "Get all skills to lvl 5" achievement. I only caught 2 kinds of fish here. Eventually I was drowning in so much fish that I started letting them go upon catch. Fun fact: even if you don't keep the caught fish, you still get the XP for it. Fishing as a food source is time consuming - but tool efficient. In long term runs, use those no longer useful prybars to break the ice. From level 3-5 I didn't break a single line/hook. So a lot of food for very little wear on tools. If you have lots of time but limited tools/ammo, fishing is good.
