  1. As the title says. As of today ESET antivirus now thinks the main executable is malware and deletes it. Steam restores it and ESET deletes it, stuck in a loop. So for now I set ESET to ignore the main game folder. I sent a reoprt and sample to ESET for evaluation. Please can you co-ordinate with ESET to declare a False Positive. Thank you.
  2. Thank you ShieldHeart. Nice to see you here. I've been playing this from day 1 and am very grateful that you keep pace with the games evolution. As an ex-modder of other games myself, I know how hard it can be to keep up the enthusiasm for what you do. Once again. Than you.
  3. Consider me part of the minority then. Adding, or being able to make a sled would be immensely useful. While I find the story episodes somewhat of a pleasant distraction, for me, they are still only secondary to survival mode.
  4. I was surprised at some of the language but not overly so. I've heard worse in the work-place and these are hardened criminals after all.
  5. Just tried that in my Interloper run and got no option to repair my 90% crampons.
  6. Here's what I have found by trial and error. I have 14 user001.xxxxx files in TheLongDark save folder and 10 in TheLongDarkNoSync folder. If I delete all of them I lose my latest DarkWalker badges but keep all previous badges. Deleting the user001 file in TheLongDark save folder, also removes all the other badges I have earned over the years. So, depending on whether like me, you keep multiple backups of your save folder, prior to every upgrade of the game (overkill or what? 🤓), you should be able to retrieve your lost badges by using an older version of the user001 file.
  7. I'm hoping, that they don't remove the option after the event is over, on the 12th.
  8. Yup! Done first time. Do you know if Endless Night will still be available after the event is over?
  9. Thanks. I found an older version of this some time ago and keep updating it. I can't find the original author so apologies for not giving credit where credit is due. Edit: FOUND IT! It was originally posted on Steam by Axeman, then re-posted on Reddit a year ago. Thanks Axeman!
  10. This is the longest one way route that I can see. It is very dependent on what ropes they put in the event. There are two drops you normally have to place yourself. If they are not pre-placed and you don't have them, then you are in trouble at Ravine and BI. Credit: To Axeman, who evidentially, posted the original schematic on Steam. More than a year ago.
  11. As an amateur digital photographer you would not believe how disconcerting and annoying that can be.
  12. A bear behind. Bear with me. SURPRISE! "You may feel a little pinch"
  13. Well now. Thanks to the latest hot-fix, I found three lamps in the Lost and Found in FM. Perhaps it cleaned up the ones I left outside the BI access cave and the one by the forge. I shall have to investigate. Either way, good work guys.
  14. Yeah. I placed a storm lantern on the ground at night, just outside the rail carriage at Poachers Camp in FM. Passed Time for an hour to save. Loaded the game later and no sign of my lantern but the ground outside was glowing. Surreal. Perhaps it will show up again in one of the Lost and Found boxes.
  15. No map marker and not being able to clean up the mess from... anywhere. My 110 day loper Survival run, suddenly filled up with crud again. I'd pay good money for a DLC that enabled 'cleaning mode'. Seriously Going back to 1.56
  16. I've never met Fluffy, not even in the Dam but I ran into a wolf in the cave at DP a few days ago. Was that fluffy perhaps? Scared me silly at first. Luckily I was carrying a lamp at the time and heard a growl. Quickly put the lamp on the cave floor, got my rifle out and one shotted it. I was running a customised Interloper with medium wolf spawning for this run through.
