@Toasty Goblin- great shots! The one in the middle really grabs my attention. 2 sets of crows circling, and the hazy light- opening scene for a horror movie!

The Battle at the Destroyed Cabin:  the morning after

I was in Zone of Contamination on a short interloper run, camped out near the downed helicopter and waiting for a glimmer fog or an aurora so I could use my shortwave.  I had only one piece of venison, so I thought the wolf situation would be OK.  Wrong.  It's hard to see them all, but there are four dead poisoned wolves in the frame.  There's another out of sight, and maybe even one more that has my one missing arrow off in the hills somewhere.  I held them off from behind the fire barrel but it got pretty touch and go for a while.  I was thinking I'd have to run for the mine buildings because my fire nearly ran out twice.   Not sure how I attracted so many wolves with one piece of meat.

Made it, narrowly avoiding a wolf struggle by lighting a flare that scared it off (surprising in Stalker!). Got to the Riken a bit cold, and looting in the dark until the sun finally started rising, proving yet again that the Riken is one of the  creepier places on GBI.

I wonder what this flapping blue ribbon means at the lighthouse in Not-soBleak Inlet? I do not remember ever seeing it there before, or anywhere else.
