This is why I'm very fond of Desolation Point...

I love that lighthouse in an aurora.

It is indeed a beautiful sight🙂

On a side note.. looking again through your shots it seems you meet rather a lot of bears on your travels.

@Leeanda

As I explore the regions, I like to seek out and make note of where bear dens and moose scrapings are.  That why if I find I want to hunt something in particular, then I'd already have a good idea of where to go to find them (except the moose of course... he tends to move around - except the one that lives in Bleak Inlet, but timber wolves can make that one a risky venture to harvest and haul 🤭).

I suppose it doesn't matter if I'm mapping or just looking for gear and supplies, there's always a secondary objective... reconnoiter the wildlife. 🤭

I do the same thing,albeit with less luck than you have. It's definitely worth finding out even if you have to go a little  out of the way.  Seems like that bear in coastal wants to find you though🙂

I have no idea where this leads, if it leads anywhere at all.

It seems that each bear will have a couple of routes they like to wander, and often it seems they favor picking ones I like to use also. 🤭

First of all, amazing screenshots. Gives us a window into some of the past versions. I so wish HL would allow us to play 4DON again as challenges.

About the bear paths, is it possible the game "learns" the player's paths to emulate how wildlife would pick up telltale signs of a prey such as smell and send wildlife in that direction especially when it coincides with their patrol routes.

Couple of screenshots from a recent run.

Got to love the sunrises at Desolation Point.

A very yellow foggy end to the day. A bit rare but not as rare as the green sunset as mentioned above. That is really rare. Dropped the torch to avoid capturing the hand. screen_189ddbcb-eea6-4b11-92cc-acaa62d18661_hi__e2-l.thumb.jpg.96d56578938492fa6cc6d6301d705eed.jpg

Near Thomson's Crossing. Winter Wonderland is so beautifully depicted in this game.
