piddy3825
I stared wistfully out at the horizon to the mountains on the mainland. I realized then and there I might not be going home for while... I waited until dusk and under the aurora of the night sky I fired my first flare round up into the night ski the flare, it fell to earth with significant force to make a loud dull thump and there it just burned sitting on the ice. Remorsefully I turned towards the sea and again I fired a flare in hope that anyone, please anyone, might see it and rescue me with an audible splash, the flare dropped into the water and immediately sank from sight, although the water continued to smoke of some time afterward. I'm never getting of this f**king island... 2

Stinky socks
I'm in bleak as well at the moment. Hey, did you take my arrows in lookout? I feel like I'm a few short after counting. 🤔 Anyways...I excited my hut and this: Thanks a lot, smokey. Should I just light up those two fires you landed on without harvesting your meat? Hmm. After so many times walking by these boats, on day 500something I finally spotted this container. And what was in it? BAH!!! EMPTINESS, just like Astrid's heart. Moose? Hmm. I didnt kill this one. tranquil afternoons, Astrid is such a sweetie pie, even deer aren't afraid seeing her. <crrackkk> hhahahaa, sucker. 😁kidding, I didnt kill her.

Stinky socks
Unfortunately I was already all fueled and loaded for bleak inlet, so the bear was more of a nuisance than anything, but I did snap a few photos to share.

Stinky socks
While strolling through the park, I found the last remaining battery and figured I'd enjoy some TLD action in the evening. Hauled it all the way up to pensive lookout!! Just need some wires, but since I don't have any, fresh guts should do the trick! This cannot be safe. the one and only, behold!! The rim fire pit!! Really enjoying those crunches!! Dont worry, I am normal. The cannery obstacle course!!

Jens
Hi! Lately I've been stiching some screenshots together to make some great panoramas (I'm a photographer IRL). I thought I'd share one of them see if you like them. Never seen Forlong Muskeg look so beautiful. Hope you like it! 3

Here is another pano of Ash Canyon I did. 2

stratvox
Hey @Jens, you know what might be an interesting idea? I've noticed that the FOV setting in "Display" basically functions like a zoom lens; the smaller the FOV the more zoomed in you are. It also means that more distant detail shows up in the image. It might be worth playing with that setting to see if you can get more out of these panoramas. I used to play at 75 FOV or so, and went into display settings to change it to 100 whenever I wanted to take a screenshot. Now I just ended up playing at 100 all the time, it's a little trickier to aim, and some people may experience motion sickness, but I got used to it. The thing is, as with a real camera (I'm a landscape photographer myself), the wider the lens, the more barrel effect you get, making stitching harder. Panoramas such as that last one are easier (as IRL) because there is almost no foreground. When there are close by objects though, the change in the perspective might make stitching those shots together nearly impossible (happens IRL too).
