I wish you could see better what was happening in this but

1. I'm too cowardly to get a better look

2. As you know, the f10 thing doesn't work for me so I can't do high-def images (I think F10 is for normal HD ones. Though I may have gotten F10 and F12 mixed up, which happens

3. On the laptop I'm currently on, I play on a low setting, so that doesn't really help

I left the mountaineers hut, intending to follow the stream and see where it goes. I open the door to see two dead deer and a wolf walking to where I want to go. He had obviously been busy during the night!

Though now I can't go there because of a wolf for the second time, at least I'll have plenty of meat later, hopefully

(The two brown spots are dead deer and the black spot that's really hard to see is a wolf just walking away from the carnage)

I think this was in HRV as I awoke to a pretty cold day to go try enter the ice cave as I sought out the signal fire.1815031928_Screenshot(21).thumb.png.1668c1b9016ccd055a9a1bea1152d8a4.png352064799_Screenshot(23).thumb.png.5db34df26821739c16980730b3ae48dd.png

So..I looked down and for a moment actually thought these were my feet. I'd just loaded up the game and somehow ended up pretty close to a corpse. It creeped me out for a moment, haha. (Also, this screenshot was so hard to take, holding the mouse still to take the screenshot and pressing the windows and print-screen button is hard lol)

Outstanding!  I think this pic should qualify for "best selfie!"

Since when can you spot the plane from the hut this close? I mean you can see it, but not that close. Did you make two screenshots and put the close plane pic "behind" the first one?

btw i noticed Hinterland always do this. In the first picture of a new map there is always something hidden, always in the far background. For Ash Canyon there was the bridge that you could easily oversee and only clearly spot when you zoomed far in. And for TWM you can spot the plane from the hut, but would miss it if you don't pay attention to the environment. I really like that, because it is exactly like in a real survival situation. You have to put close attention to the area around you to make it :)

absolutely no editing shenanigans with the photo (I wouldn't know where to begin...). Took me a long time to realise that you can see the plane wreck almost as soon as you exit the entrance valley to TWM, by the landing gear- if you know where to look and the weather obliges.

I have to admit again that looking at my photo it does appear out of proportion if you know roughly where the mountain is to the hut.  Maybe the noir filter is something to do with it?

I just checked to see if I could line up this same shot when I was at the hut, and it's super easy to do. You just have to crouch a few steps back from the door and look up.

And I agree about Hinterland — I always love finding amazing angles in each region. It definitely seems like they take the time to create painting-like views hidden in each one.
