  1. Thank you everyone! I have missed you guys and it’s lovely to be back ❤️
  2. Nice to see you too! I’ve missed you guys
  3. I missed you guys too, thank you!
  4. I apologise if this is the wrong place to ask but I had been recently considering getting it, and was wondering if it was worth buying it to give it a try, or does it not add a huge amount to the game. I would be interested in hearing peoples thoughts on the dlc, as it would help me come to a decision, as I may be overthinking this a tad, haha
  5. Figured I ought to introduce myself again since I had taken a pretty damn long hiatus from this place. So hi, I’m Catlover, TLD and feline enthusiast and am happy to be back here. Seems I have a lot to catch up on, and hope to see you guys around the forums!
  6. Yep true, thank you for the tips! Unfortunately I can't carry around a hatchet unless I fancy winding up in jail, plus I'm not too sure if I'm old enough to wield one just yet. Seems like you've had your fair share of wild adventures, sounds like you know a lot
  7. @conanjaguar Awesome sock And knife too, of course I think I’d pretty much just be a goner. I’ve gone camping several times but it’s pretty difficult to get actually lost in England, since it isn’t a particularly wild country, so I would have no idea on what to do and would likely die very quickly
  8. Whenever you try and get something done in Pleasant Valley, the weather WILL turn into a blizzard/heavy fog. Yet if you have a day planned for cooking meat or repairing clothes, there won’t be a cloud in the sky
  9. Yep I agree! And ouch, that sounds like a pretty painful way to fade into the long dark
  10. Surprised to see that nobody had finished this off! 100. Thinking that there’s no way a 40% can of sardines can give you food poisoning. It does
  11. I’m glad to see you’re back! And I am sorry, I believed you used a translator but I was mistaken. Your English is very good, I just thought you’d mentioned a translator once. My bad, I hope that didn’t cause offence. But I’m glad you’re back on these forums
  12. They're Russian and use a translator I believe
  13. Amy sat alone on the guest bed, in thought, a little lonely as her dog was in Emma's room, the two having bonded greatly over the past few days, much to the young girl's delight. Soon, they would be on their way to this base Christine had mentioned, leaving their troubles, and her ruined house, behind. A, large, sentimental part of her didn't want to leave, but she knew that they had no choice, stay, or die. A few hours went by with no sleep, and eventually, the young woman got up, hoping a walk would clear her mind. The bear hadn't been seen in a while, alongside the wolves, so maybe things finally were starting to get back to normal. Wrapping up warm, she stepped outside, the frozen wind hitting her like a truck. Dawn was already on its way, the distant mountains tinged pink against the dark sky. Wishing her dog was with her, Amy set off jogging, looking for a good place to observe the sunset. It was too late to go back to sleep anyway, and there was too much on her mind Sitting on a bench, a distant rustle alerted her, calmness turning to anxiety in a moment, even though she had little idea of what it was. There was something watching her, she knew it. The snow illuminated by the rising sun, she began sprinting back, glancing behind to see a black snout emerging from the trees, ambling towards her bench. Whatever the bear had been doing before was irrelevant, he was back.
  14. I've greatly enjoyed reading your adventures, considering writing my own but they wouldn't be half as interesting, lol! I have a question though, in PV do blizzards last longer than normal? I play stalker and the longest I've seen was a day, but I've heard they can go on for weeks, is that just the highest difficulty, or am. I lucky? Just asking because you mentioned how PV has longer blizzards, I've always wanted to experience a 'mother blizzard', though I bet it takes a toll on supplies!
  15. Thanks, I'll have a look for it! Can't leave DP until I've mapped it all so I can't even just go look in CH for a hatchet
  16. Tried that but I think the hinges are frozen! I might try breaking down the table though I'm not sure if I can since there is a laptop on it. Shame, I could use that hammer!
  17. There's no way to reach this soda! Feels like it's taunting me..
  18. Thanks for the link! Done a bit of searching and it seems I can get that kind of thing cheaper than I thought! It definitely seems more fun than just using the ingame journal, plus I like how you're able to keep all of your memories of the game on paper One question, rubbish at tech so how do I transfer photos to my phone?
  19. That's a really neat idea! Tempted to do the same myself, love how you've got a bunch of photos in it like an actual journal
  20. I definitely see your reasoning, however I have no issue with the current settings. Choosing between being loaded with supplies, or travelling light and moving quickly are some choices I'd assume you'd have to make in an actual survival scenario. It's understandable that they get encumbered, carrying so much stuff and if it annoys you too much, there's always the sachel and well fed bonus. Yes, it is a bit of a walking simulator but that's half the fun of tld, you're meant to wander the quiet apocalypse. There's always auto walk that you could use, so your fingers won't hurt holding down the keys like mine do If you're a pc player, I think there's a mod called the sonic mod which I'm pretty sure increases your walking speed. Not tried it out though, this is simply an assumption based on the name
  21. Haha I'm wayy too familiar with that. Tell myself I'll never play again, two seconds later I'm loading up another game! It's good fun though, most of the time I die from too much wolf wrestling, that's stalker for you I'm the same though right now I'm trying to stay in the same map for 50 days. So far though I'm enjoying it. We'll see how long I'll last 😅 Agreed, we don't have to, necessarily, but who says camping out isn't fun!
  22. Interesting, and I completely agree. Are there any mods that do make wildlife behaviour more realistic?
