I watched a vid from GDC 2015 where Raphael stated quite frankly he wanted the release of Hinterland's first game to be a big deal.  Parties. Balloons. All sort of game community interest and coverage.  He wanted to withhold content until that moment.  For impact.

But I don't really get it.  I'm only still watching to see how the gambit plays out.  Actually, I'm half-curious to see if it really is a gambit or if they just forgot to do any work on the story for 15 months.

It will come. Whilst news inst always forth coming, i wouldn't be surprised if the silence means final polish on a milestone release for the company. They have stated Spring 2016 as the official release date now, after some lines in the sand were passed.

As  @cowboymrh  said, start worrying if you haven't had an update from the devs or on steam by the end of spring

Raphael and the community engagement team were at the 2016 GDC, games development conference in San Francisco. Here are some tweets: https://twitter.com/raphlife

The team isn't large but here's what we know about them. http://hinterlandgames.com/studio/our-team/

The focus at this time seems to be community engagement and story mode development. Everyone I know is excited about the first episode of Story Mode and I'm fairly sure the pressure is on so in that respect, no news is good news!

Patience Grasshoppers! :)
