  1. There's a chat over here where it looks like this is kind of a widespread issue, some of these items are simply not showing up anywhere that they should be. Feel free to add in your info there!
  2. I was reading the list of many places people said they were finding Lily's recipe and never found it at any of those locations. Instead, I end up finding it behind one of the table legs in the Kitchen though. I've still not found the one at Thomson's Crossing...and just like you, I searched every inch of the building.
  3. Starting to believe there may be something up with continuing saves and this update. I'm in PV, and neither Thomson's nor the Farmhouse have anything other than crafting materials added in. I've scoured the entirety of TC and the Farm, and going to head down towards Signal Hill, but striking out on previously explored locations. Note: I know that Farmhouse doesn't have anything there, but it was sort of a last resort to see if maybe it was just in the wrong place.
  4. Was NOT expecting it out today! Absolutely fantastic!
  5. You see that bridge? Somehow...I managed to fall from this by accident and survived. In the middle of the screen, where the framing below the main structure sits, there are beams that stick out a bit. I just finished a quick jaunt/crafting session at the Airfield and was heading back. Went to look for the moose to the north...and forgot I enabled autowalk. I (VERY LUCKILY) landed on one of the beams below, and managed to snake my way up against the rockface, then billygoat my way down the side. I was 100% certain my run was over.
  6. I thought I had read/heard somewhere that there were some coding challenges porting over to the Switch, but I can't seem to find where that came from so...grain of salt and all that.
  7. You'll be happy to know, it was posted today!
  8. This update is fantastic! The fact that there are two major systems being revamped, lots of new items, new prey, and new things to explore the world for makes this a rather significant update. Very much look forward to this update and how it will hopefully change the way I approach the game!
  9. Beautiful overnight as I trek towards TWM on my Stalker Playthrough.
  10. For the longest time, I thought leaving food on the snow would attract wolves/bears, so I always stored it. It was at the beginning of my 500 day Voyageur playthrough, that I learned the opposite. For a while, I opted to just keep food in stone caches that I positioned all around the Mountaineer's Hut. On my interloper runs after this, however, I've just kept them out in the snow.
  11. Mine is TWM - Mountaineer's Hut. It has everything I need, all in a nice and cozy little box on the lake. On the other hand...I debated saying Camp office, but the number of Interloper attempts ended by a surprise wolf in Mystery Lake is too damn high.
  12. Thanks @Admin for the update. I assume the June Dev Diary will have some more details for us, and looking forward to the first look video for the new update!
  13. Thanks. That's what I thought, but figured there's always a chance I haven't found everything. 🙂
  14. Sorry for reviving this older post but.... In the description, there was a mention of special versions of "Knives, Hatchets". Just to make sure I'm not missing something, but this hasn't been implemented yet, correct? I'm aware of the Rifles, Bow, and Lantern, but those two specifically I've not seen/heard anything about.
  15. My most recent mistake happened on my longest Interloper attempt to date. I harvested a deer, cooked it there and rushed back from Mystery Lake to the Camp Office. The next morning, after recovering most of my health, I'm feeling overconfident and think "It's not that far to Trappers, and it's only a few more pieces of cooked deer". 20 steps later, wolf pounces and I'm unable to break free. Dead on day 40.
  16. Day 427 Pleasant Valley - Great Bear Island Location: Outside the Prepper's Cache It seems the outdoor adventure has been going well for me thus far. Plenty of game prowling around to ensure food isn't scarce. There was an incredible blizzard that ran through here earlier today...but when it left, the sky opened up and a silence fell over the abandoned shack. I'll spend tomorrow gathering more firewood. I'm not quite sure I'm ready to head back just yet. The outdoor adventure has actually been pretty relaxing. Signed, Meriel
  17. Just like Voodoo, I had a beautiful moon out tonight in Pleasant Valley.
  18. I once had a character at around the 60 day mark, crossing through the Ravine. I took my eyes off of the screen while walking forward, plunged right through the gap in the railroad trestle.
  19. A lot of people are like me and have been playing for years. There's just something that keeps pulling you back in, even if you put the game down for a while. No matter what other games or things I'm doing at any given time, any time there is a new update, I make sure to stop in and check it out for at least a few weeks. In some cases, I get bit by the bug and end up playing again for months on end. The game itself has been in a great spot for quite some time. I've never had stability issues with this game, and the gameplay is always engaging and enjoyable. Each update adds just a little more flavor to what you do in game. There are minor bugs that annoy me, most of them related to the latest update (currently my biggest hit-list items are the acorn cracking audio loop and no benefit from drinking the acorn coffee). There is the issue of boredom on long playthroughs (ie: 500 day challenges), but in all honesty, that's going to happen no matter what game you play. You just have to fall into a specific gameplay loop at that point to keep the game from feeling stagnant. I've personally found new ways to challenge myself after long periods of time (ie: gather all loot from every zone, break down all furniture in each zone, stay outdoors over long periods of time, etc). As Manic stated, there's concern with the direction some in the community are going with things. Hopefully the spread of that stops.
  20. Day 417 Pleasant Valley - Great Bear Island Location: Outside the Prepper's Cache Things have become boring, so I decided to get out of the "house" for a bit and spend some time outdoors. Thankfully, the shelter house next to my mountaineer's rope back to Timberwolf Mountain is the perfect spot to make camp. It's nice to get out and just live off the land for a few days. Who knows how long this will last, but it sure beats sitting inside the cabin all day. Who knows...maybe when I've had my fix with the staying outdoors...I'll find something productive to do with my time. I do need to make more ammunition... Signed, Meriel
  21. Another VLDL Fan?! What is this madness. Back on topic: just as obnoxious as discharging a gun? "Ok, let's start this fire...wait...no...I'm going to sketch the area with my new charcoal instead."
  22. Day 410 Timberwolf Mountain - Great Bear Island Location: Mountaineer's Hut Some mornings I wake up and wonder if this is all worth it. You know, the daily struggle between surviving the world and defending myself from the wildlife. The other night, I looked out from the doorway of the cabin and the wolves prowled the exterior. Why do I keep going? I wonder what the point of it all is...but in reality...it's the fear of death. I'd rather spend every waking moving striving to survive another day than to give in and let it all consume me. But some mornings, like this...that darkness begins to creep in...and there's nothing I do to stop it. Signed, Meriel
  23. Been busy with life lately, but still chugging away at some achievements while I build towards my 500 Day Steam achievement. Looking at "Exploration Game", but will need to strategize that one as I'll need to go prepared for a long timeframe away from base. At 400+ days...I'm getting a lot less adventurous.
